What was the price for the motor/trans, parts and install. Thinking about swapping my shitty vq35de with one of these. I spent $2300 to replace a blown DE 8 months ago only to have the same problems....and still no real horsepower😩
BeenLeanin/ Media* Even with this, you’re gonna have the same hp or a little more (with a swap that will cost 10k if you do everything yourself to 20k if a shop does it). To get more hp you have to get a bigger twin turbo set or go single which cost way more then the cost of a built motor+ brand new Cd009 350z with a turbo in the end

When I put the exact same engine in what will I do about retaining the trans and gauge function so I can still pass inspection via OBD connectivity. I have already increased line pressure and shimmed the accumulators so I know the trans can hold the stock turbos with low boost. Thanks for your time.

Novasquad it’s an aftermarket attatchment. You add it in along with the aristo ECU. Eliminates the need to run dual ecus, makes all gauges work like oem. Even my mpg gauge works.
Novasquad and, message Justin Collins about it and he can get one for you. He’ll wire it right into your engine harness if you have him do your harness work
Im also interested in knowing more on this MPX box .. I looked up the qfab motorsports but my search came up with something that says it's permanently closed. With this box, you're able to keep all the gauges working like stock? How about OBDii? What happens to that? How do you pull DTCs??
I have a 2002 Is300 2JZ-GE W55 5 Speed converted with M98 LSD. The engine has 345Km/210Miles on it and I am concerned she is going to pop! But I cant find myself to sell the car at this point so I want to plan to do the same 2JZ-GTE swap. I do have a Apexi S-AFC tuner, air fuel gauge and turbo gauge. etc My questions are: Can I use my current harness? I seen a guy do a 2JZ-GTE and said he used the stock harness with Excessive ecu? What transmission did you use? Can I use my W55? Or should I just find a 2JZ-GE refresh it and slap a turbo on it? As of right now my is300 has become a hole, I put so much money into her. My brakes just went and now the harmonic balancer need replacement. IDK should i just sell and but a civic lol Sadface
T K could use current harness but you’ll need to modify it slightly. Best bet is to have Justin Collins make you a conversion harness. I used a stock aristo ecu, so no need to use a safc. I despise those. If you’re not looking to spend $6000+, GE-T might be your best bet.
@@tkflex2332 If you're keeping the 55 trans, dont go much higher than 350 horse, internals on that trans are not build to hand much than that without blowing up. If you have the money to spend, go T56. Not cheap, but theyre bulletproof, you get that extra gear, and they have parts readily available. Otherwise if you're looking more budget you can always go AR5 or R154 but it'll shift like a truck.

Because it does shift like a truck or very Notchy?But i know It does have the Auto LSD 3.9 not the 3.7. 1st gear doesnt do anything really and 5th pulls hard on hwy! I appreciate it
@@tkflex2332 I'd see if you can check on the transmission housing itself to see if it's an R154 or W58. The W58, while having a slightly better gearing ratio is still not built to take much more than about 400hp. If it's notchy then chances are it's probably an R154 but see if you can find anything on the housing. I have the same LSD in mine as well, TS2 3.9 ratio (auto) the Auto LSD works better with the 6 Speed Tremec T56 trans because of the gearing ratio. Essentially the closer you can get to about 4.2 with the Tremec it's the closest ratios to the V160, that's the route I'll be going for mine.

I have heard the only way to put a single turbo is to pull the motor. So with that in mind if you knew you were going to put a single on it. Why didn't you do that before the swap? Also like to add awesome job on a timely swap.
Dont necessarily need to pull the motor for a single swap, its a hell of a lot easier but not exactly necessary. Only thing they would have to do is ABS Delete or relocation because the ABS unit sits right where the snail needs to be and theyve already deleted it.
Brown Bear it’s easier to pull the motor. I removed my turbos with the motor in the car.. and honestly either or... still a pain in the ass to take off

So if I was to buy a gte does that mean I have to buy the gte harness and can I use my factory ecu or do I have to buy the ecu that is also original with the gte I know the auto transmission bolts right up I know I can do the swap with my dad but I want to try and make it as simple as possible
Amazing job man. How much do you think a shop should charge for doing a full 2JZ-GTE+Manual trans combo swap? Parts are all provided by customer shipped directly to the shop.
Hey brother, i havent done an engine swap yet however im employed as a first year for toyota. If you have 2 qualified mechanics working on the job, might take around 6-10 hours. You would have to pay for labour which depends per shop. Might be around 150 per hour plus workshop consumables. Im assuming you already have the ecu needed for the engine but there might be time needed to also tune that. (The mechanics may need to outsource someone to tune the ecu as we aren't really trained to do that.) The mechanics would also road test the car to make sure everything is running smoothly. Would cost an arm and a leg unfortunately. Hopefully this helped.
I have a gs300 i am planning to use it as a donor car for engine swap in is200. Its 2jzge non vvti. I need someone to shed in some info on the conversion. I am planning to take out everything from gs300 (engine, gearbox, ECU) and put it in my is200. my biggest concern, is about other functionalities such as dash lights, AC, radio, cruise control, lights and other things. Should i keep the BCM of is200 and do wiring to connect with gs300 ecu or how should i go about? (the 1gfe from is200 will go into gs300)
Are all the mount points the same in the aristo supra and Is300?? I blew my engine in my is300 and want to swap a supra 2jz 6 speed auto into my car. One other question is are the drive lines the same size? Or do I have to get a new one of those?
