So I found your fuseable bosses mod on game banana and was interested. I used to mess around with a lot of the demon ids of original nocturne via cheat engine and found out some interesting things. Masakados has his own id and will show up if hacked into the game via cheat engine. Much like the station hand though (as mentioned in another comment,) he has no actual animations and will just hover there. I know it would take a lot of work but I'm looking forward to the time when someone makes new animations for him and maybe makes him usable, either as a boss or as a summonable demon. Also, in original nocturne all bosses use a slightly different id then their summonable counterpart. This is done to allow bosses like Mettatron to be fucking massive. If these versions are displayed on the status menu, they appear as a black frost for some reason, but work fine in battle. Most large bosses were also hard coded to have 2 press turns in original nocturne, so if you add one to your party you get 5 turns instead of 4.
I was aware that Masakados is listed in the game's internal table of demons but I hadn't attempted to do anything with him yet. I did suspect that he wouldn't have any animations even if he could be spawned. Maybe that can be rectified if someone figures out how the game's animations are coded. The fact that bosses have different ids from their regular counterparts is so that they can refer to different visual and affinity data. Most bosses are scaled up by 60%.
@@ZephhyrAgain If you attempt to spawn him in, he works fine. He has no in combat animations but surprisingly does not cause the game to crash. I know animation coding for this game is still probably a few years off for mods but its still something to look forward to.
For a second I thought this was an actual RNG feature if you have seriously bad luck of like 0.1% lol thank god this isn't possible normally. Been playing the original since 2005 then two HD remasters (PC/Switch) and not once seen this so I was shocked n had to check if this was either a mod or this can actually happen and I'm just super lucky.
Funnily enough he is listed in the game's internal table of demons but he doesn't have the necessary data to be instantiated. His id is 331 and his listed name is 'Station Staff'.
Hmm now I am curious if it's possible to port the Hardtype mod in the HD version of Nocturne. And make you play with low level, and extra turn to the enemies.
it won't be possible to directly port it but most of Hardtype's features have been made as individual mods for Nocturne HD at this point. The main problems that haven't been solved yet are AI scripting and custom skills. Having said that, I'm not so interested in making a HD version of Hardtype as I am with making my own rebalance of the game. Regarding a LL run of Hardtype with an extra turn, I'm not sure that such a run would be actually possible to complete. Matador in Hardtype is much more demanding in terms of resources to defeat. Jim Reaper did a LL run of Hardtype and he needed to fuse multiple demons via fusion accident to have a team capable of taking him on. Additionally since Mirrors are nerfed in Hardtype, the amount of time spent healing is going to slow your damage output to a crawl.
@@TARINunit9 The game actually doesn't softlock after this. If the fused demon doesn't exist the game would hardlock in the fusion result screen, the fusion animation or upon summoning the demon into combat.
@@ZephhyrAgain I was more wondering about the "I'm [demon] of the [race] clan" clan text. Did you mod the "dummy" line in or was that all Atlus? And if it was Atlus, does it do that for every non-playable demon?
@@TARINunit9 I didn't mod that line in, it was already there. there are no other 'playable' enemy-only demons. The line they would say is determined by their personality value which is why demons like Momunofu and Ose have the same lines.
The Manikin-only run is real
dismiss Demi fiend bug, and the party is just Futomimi, Sakahagi and two generic Manikins with weird moves
it's the "all right" at the end for me
Imagine manikin calls you FOOL for fusioning him

but can you fuse the Station Hand

So a Nahobino would be this but a human with an aligned demon. It would be cool if that was a thing in a future title lol whacky mad scientist

What are the manikin’s stats?
Level 13, 7 STR, 5 MAG, 1 VIT, 7 AGI, 7 LUK, Null: Light/Dark, No Skills
1 VIT 🫥💀
@@Jekunda if I stare at him for too long he’ll evaporate
Did you use modding for this or can you just fuse that Otinmushu guy and Naga to make a Manakin?
This is the result of a mod that makes every fusion result in a Manikin. I’m working on making several enemy-only demons fusable.
