Warrior/Ninja Tabi | Fatalis | Stonecutting Sword | Qin's Sais | Breastplate of Valor | Odysseus Bow* |
Ichaival is an early game option that can be replaced late game with Odysseus Bow. In this build, I opted to take advantage of my early Gold lead and jump into Stone Cutting Sword BEFORE Ichaival, not something usually done unless you are far ahead. Usually Ichaival will be taken after or before Fatalis, and you can continue with the same build until late game, when you would then sell Ichaival for Odysseus Bow. Breastplate of Valor is purchased for a newer player buffer, giving added protections and cooldown, so less precise target diving will not be as potentially fatal. For more damage, swap that out for a Crit item or Titan's Bane.

Thank you that info helped a lot, Kali is my first purchased Goddess... but it has been tricky. She is also a Goddess lore that is important too my IRL so i always want to do her justice. :).
another good thing about stunning before you lash is the power buff that scales onto your lash. I mean, she's not an ability assasin like thor, but when she gets started with red pot, blue stone, and you get a red buff, your stun buffs your early power even further so that when you hit someone with that lash, they're nearly dead or dead. If played right, it makes her early game quite a bit better than it should be.
I used to be fairly top notch with Kali, but for some reason there has been lots of lag when I play. Lag hurts movement speed and accuracy quite a bit...

My Kali build is: ninja tabi, stone cutting, wind demon, death bringer (or rage), golden bow, then Odysseus bow. I like this build a lot and it's almost gotten me my first Penta. I'd like to know your thoughts on it and if you'd try it that'd be awesome. Thanks for the combo guide too because I'm still new to her

Hey Raynday! I was sitting in the shower this morning and I thought up a new dare... how about Permanent Passive Agni. It is based around attack speed and cooldown to get the extra damage from the passive. This would be made up of Hastened Fatalis, Shoes of focus, telechines/demonic, chronos pendant, spear of desolation, and lastly rod of tahuti. I have used this and done pretty decent in many of my games. I think this would be a cool thing for a video! Hope you chose to use it, as always, never give up and never stop gaming!

totally helpful jus one question is this build typically arena type or can it be used on all game types
you forgot to talk about the auto attack cancelling/ attack chain maximization :-( (so important on a god like kali). Also worth mentioning is Kali gets a penetration bonus onto the god that is her target. Meaning basically a titan's bane in her kit at lvl 20 giving her 30% extra pen on target.

I am terrible at most assassins but I started playing Kali here at the beginning of the week and let's just say that I've finally found a good assassin for my playstyle
I don't see the big deal about her every other assassin I played seems way better and does more damage

Yo raynday, I get that there is merit in playing arena matches to show how gods work in team fights, as well as the occasional side picks where it's a smaller group or even 1v1 from time to time, but I can't help wondering if you would be more capable of displaying combos in a duel. Also, I'd love to know your thoughts behind how you decide what way you want to build as you go into a game.
Perhaps making a 3v3 series where there's less going on to allow for more time in which you can explain more detailed aspects could be a thing in the future? Essentially just a series where you go into a game completely serious and try-hard, explaining what items you are buying to specifically power through the other team's composition to guarantee the best chances to win. I like the videos which display unorthodox or unexpected builds on gods that tend to do well, but I feel like the games you play which are more serious builds never really have any significant explanation behind how they're being made.

I farmed fantasy points at the end of season 2 and i played mostly as kali and there where 3 arena matches in a row where i either got a quadra or a Penta for each match
My build was: ninja tabi>fatalis>qins sais>asi>rage>deathbringer
But that was in season 2 now I build malice instead of rage
+markus corneliussen Kali's hit chain is terrible for crits, going AS and pen is just better in every way against any target.

Started playing smite literally this week, Kali is easily the character I have down best already gotten a 35 kills in one match with her and gotten a pentakill with her in my first 5 matchs looked online for more info on her and found she is apparently out classed by everyone else, how is that possible she rips teams apart.

I would go into warrior tabi tho. Late game it takes 1 or 2 less basics to kill. And i would go into titans bane if you arent playing against annoying physicals as shown in the video

I'm new to Kali but she seems to play a little more like a warrior in that she can hang around and trade blows due to her life steal where most assassin's are burst and leave type characters. Her attack speed is really fun too.

+Hardly Rainy Gamer Kali doesn't really need CDR since shes mainly AA based and the CD on her ult is the only real relevant CD reduction but its not necessary at all, Titan's bane is just a better option in that slot and her ult's CD isn't too terribly long anyway.

Nice guide man, but what about the auto attack reset I hear about?
the auto atk reset is basically u use one basic between abilities cause her first basic is 1.5damage so the combo idealy is basic,3 basic,2,basics
more for early game, cause she doesn't have much power early and with some power boots u can do a ton of damage early
My build for kali is: warrior tabi, qin sais, asi, hastened fatalis, executioner and titans bane when against a tank, otherwise mostly filling what i like to. Abilities i main my 2 first, then my 1 for the extra lifesteal, then 3 and 4 immediately when possible. :) hope this helped people out!
RebeckahMikaelson Dcuo for me she definitely is, late game, she can two shot people easily, she can be hard play. I find her really easy to play tho.
How good would it be if I switched out the Qin item and the Breastplate for two crit items that give you 50 phys power and the crit chance. Because if I have four attack speed items and two crits wouldn't that be good? I think this because you would be attacking so fast that almost every hit would crit leading to a quick death.

I prefer to replace breastplate with executioner, for more phys reduction from my autos, and bloodforge so I can keep on going after every kill.
Do you think you could build the new bloodforge over breastplate?

I would like to see an Osiris guide. There aren't many around and he is a bit underplayed nowadays but I would love to to see someone's opinion on this god
I know how you feel, he is a good god and played very little. If you are looking to play him personally I would recommend: attack speed boots, fitalis, ichivle, mantle, rage and executioner (sorry for spelling) you want to focus on stunning with his 3 and then burst them fast. Rage is good as it activates very fast and his ability do slow and deal good damage. Really hope this helps you or anyone else looking to play him ( this is my opinion and if it doesn't work change what you want till you find something that works for you )
+EvoGaming - The Exotic Destroyer Unit you forgot qins qins on Osiris is the second best God to have it on nr. 1 is Kali both because they have so fast attack progression

why have a defense item when you can change the breast plate to titans bane or brawlers beat stick which gives you more damage and stops healing so when you kill herc it will be with ease

I mainly play arena and joust and have been curious about kali. I tried this build, life steal, critical and even "tanky" I just can't seem to do it. She relies a lot on her basic attacks and has just one escape, if you don't use it mid fight to sustain. I am not getting the damage output. I fall behind 2 levels at times. am I doing something wrong? Or am I used to playing bastet which has an amazing rinse and repeat and escape kit.
+alex111683 Yes, you have to play Bastet and Kali very differently. What would you say I do in this video that is different to what you find yourself doing in your games? How can you improve off of the mistakes I make or the things I do correctly? Oftentimes this is a good way to start improving your play. Just gain some awareness and spend some time actively thinking about it.
+Raynday Gaming As always, great advice. I understand that they are totally different and kali needs much more awareness. I guess I just got frutrated that I didn't see results. I'm just competitive like that. Definetly more challenging than Call of Duty that I just gave up on this year.

only thing is, Kali doesn't really need defense, whether or not you go defense, you either die or win the fight, even with prots Kali is squishy af and can be easily bursted without her ult, and this build has almost no pen, i would replace BoV with Titan's Bane, you need the damage and pen to deal with tankier targets. Also she doesn't need the CD from BoV since shes mainly an auto-attacker.
+MogulKane There is a lot of truth to that, however in this game particularly I was being ulted by a loki many times, and the extra prots gave me the wiggle room to survive his burst and ultimately turn the fight around on him. This is what I recommend for newer players as well considering there is more possibility of error at the earlier stages and this will help give them some cushion.

You were playing against a cupid that uses his hearts against minions, also you max your 2 then your 3 then your ult and last your 1 however i think the build is up to the player and the situation (although i disagree with defense items on her), i honestly think the best way to show how to play a god is in conquest on a higher level than what this game was, anyway keep getting better.

She's extremely overpowered. Her passive is absolute BS and allows her to practically solo entire teams thanks to her ridiculously diverse abilities, and her ult making her INVINCIBLE

I think why he said that was to avoid getting slowed down(and not hitting anything) holding down LMB got him killed that on time in the vid.
I think it's to do with aiming your strikes instead of just flailing away and missing.

Would'nt frostbound hammer be better than hastened fatalis? instead of speeding up your already fast god isnt it better to slow down your target (thats my logic anyway).
+Julian Morgan Frostbound would indeed slow your opponent but you'd have lower attack speed and Kali is all about attack speed. In general faster hits equals more lifesteal per second on an enemy hit with the bleed from "Lash". Also, there's Qin's Sais. These do additional damage per hit based on opponent's health and not your power so getting more hits in a shorter time really takes advantage of that extra damage. And of course movement speed is always a good thing on assassins that need to get in and get out or dance around to stay alive.
TLDR: Frostbound isn't bad but the power, health and slow effect doesn't take advantage of Kali's abilities or the other items in the build like the movement and attack speed from Hastened Fatalis does.

Happy to help.Though to be fair one of the great things about Smite is making your own build. Just because it isn't typical or "meta" doesn't make it wrong. Frostbound with health and tank items might be a fun way to troll the enemy team. If you like it and it works then roll with it and have fun. :)

what i like to do is go titans bane instead of breastplate, and then sell boots for winged blade. it gives you movement, health, cc reduction, and most importantly, attack speed. you dont need the boots late game, so sell them
True and if you take one of the katana items like stone cutter with winged blade you with have 20% movement so you will be fine without boots
Mantle is also a good choice as you still get cooldown and defence for magic and physical defence as if it's conquest you will be looking to pick off both warriors and mages and you don't want to get killed first

Have you guys wonders what is that weird red Sanskrit symbol that occurs when Kali locks on a target. That symbol means Mirth which mean death.Man she is so strong that even Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva are afraid of her.
I don't get what the big deal is about kali, her damage is very lackluster compared to other assassins and that ultimate is very sitiuational as well.

+Bryan Ho Cabrakan can do some cheesy shit in accelerated gold formats, but overall he is really really weak, like probably the worst guardian in the game. For this reason he is rarely seen on PC, but for inexperienced players on console, he seems better than he is.
+MogulKane Lol he can do absolutely broken dmg, but he IS by far the worst guardian and that is exactly why you don't play guardian cabrakan. He can jungle or solo just fine and his late game dmg can destroy squishies with poly
good guide but u were leveling the abilities wrong, first your 2 cause u get more poke damge since the stun is always one sec
+Nuno Oliveira The stun isn't why I level the 3, it is due to the phys power increase for 8 seconds I receive, which IMO is more beneficial than the poke.

Ninja tabi is useless on kali the attack speed from the rest of you build is good enough. The extra power from warrior tabi helps getting through early/mid game.
