That was very nice, entertaining and informative. Off Track dissed the van a bit, earlier this week, given the lack of solar - I dissed them about their ignorant comments.
Nice to see that I'm not the only one that forgets things but, I'm 66 years of age and that's my excuse what's yours. It's ok to see you work well together HA HA HA.
I’m interested in the awning extension over the slide out kitchen. I have the Thule awning which I’m not a fan of as they seem flimsy and are almost impossible to fold in by one person if a storm hits compared to the roll out style. Anyway, I like the idea of the extension
Did you happen to catch the recent drone footage of the 30+ school of sharks in the corner of boat beach? Use to camp at Treach, lighthouse and the headland back in the 80’s and 90’s…from memory treachery use to be $5 a car… Old rutile road to myall lakes has been closed for about 20odd years… Awesome area…sandbar is great too…
Thanks Paul. I was talking to a fisherman there that mentioned about seeing a heap of sharks with a drone that morning we were there. May have actually been his footage. 🧐
Always concerned about running off one type of appliance, I always carry an induction cooker as backup to gas kitchen and vice versa. People are complaining about induction on corrugated roads and failing so be interested to see how yours go guys. Awsome vid and it looks like lasagna on the menu for us lol.
Gasless? We wouldn’t go camping without our Weber. Also carry a Jetboil, Kelly kettle & some camp fire cooking gear. Will be happy in the future to trade out our gas camp stove in the future for induction but would never go all electric. Need redundancy in the bush IME🙂
Just came back from a week in Southwest Rocks and trying to explore the area only to keep coming across locked gates was frustrating to say the least! Not sure how it will be reversed now? Any ideas?
easy way to fix locked gates is permit for $5 for example to access for 3 days. All your details registered for cost of a coffee the good get rewarded with access.
National parks won’t even let you take your dog from tea gardens over the bombah pt ferry so there’s no chance they will open the old mine roads again. It’s a shame though. I think it would be good for seal rocks to have an emergency route as they close the town in busy times due to congestion and in the event of a bushfire, people will be trapped. It’s a great spot but way over populated in holiday time since they sealed the road
@@snapcragglepopQLD Govt have been placing large parcels of land into indigenous tittles and they are creating corporations to either lock us out, or charge us fees to utilise our own land through birth right. Australians need to wake up and be proactive in holding councils, State Governments, accountable, we need to get some decent candidates back into parliaments and reverse this legislation that’s occurring in most states and territories now.
How does the van go inside "size wise" with the kids. I'm trying to get the wife to come-round to the idea of a hybrid with our 2, but she is worried we will be totally squished inside with the 4 of us. Cheers
Hi and thanks for watching. The hybrid suits us and we find this is a great balance of space and size for touring and camping, if you were living in it full time with trying to home school etc. a full size van would be more practical. The smaller size of the hybrid allows us into places that you would struggle with a full size van and is easier and lighter to tow.
Another great video guys...looks like a awsom spot...👍 I've been to most of those areas but must have missed that one in my travels... thanks for showing us. Glad you leave the cock ups in there... makes the rest of us feel normal...🤣 These areas that are getting locked off pisses me off too. I'm not exactly sure what the answer is as there are so many dick heads these days that dump rubbish and do the wrong thing when they are open. Surveillance cameras at the open gate and Getting permits is also annoying but is probably the only real solution. Thats what they've done to Rainbow Beach now days.
i really love the video, the place is so beautiful
Definitely reminds me of every time we go camping. I create a list every thing i forget over the years. ….. then i loose the list
😂

Thanks for watching. Stay tuned as I will give rebuttal on the electrical setup in an interview style ep with them 🤙🏻
Cracker vid, I'm so glad you don't edit out when things go wrong, if life was easy it would be bloody boring! Keep up the awesome work.
Thanks for tuning in 🤙🏻
Really enjoy your videos and the locations you take us to. Best camping channel on the tube.
Wow, thank you! Very much.
Harper the next little utuber❤

lovely ep and spots and awesome setup guys
Thanks mate.

Yeah I think this design gives the best of both worlds for sure 👍🏼
Hybrid campers look so much more difficult, especially when majority are in a caravan park anway.
18:26 100% we should be able to use it.
Agreed 👍🏼
Nutmeg in the white sauce too Megs, you'll thank me later👍
Safe travels guys 🤙
Thanks of watching. Will have to try the nutmeg 👍🏼
I came here to say the same thing.....plus an egg too. To be fair, both were probably on their list of things to pack as well.

Another wine and the problem will go away 👍
Tell me about.

Great point! We also generally carry a butane cooker as another form and back-up way of cooking. Thanks for watching. 🤙🏻

Yeah I agree with having some redundancy.

Yeah mate it can get frustrating.

Sounds good to me.

Yeah sounds like a reasonable idea, I find it frustrating that as tax payers we get locked out of so much 🧐
@@SmartTouringSystems that’s why we need to protect our state forests as they are our last bit of public land 👍

Nice video. How many amps of batteries did you have?
900 😝
Did you forget the camp had hot showers or wanted to test the diesel water heater ?
Yeah we did use the showers sometimes, and we also needed hot water to wash up.

Cheers for tuning in mate. Yeah a permit system would at least help u reckon too.
Take the fuel line off the fuel filter 🤷🏻♂️🤷🏻♂️
Could do 🧐
National parks and just nsw in general has way to many rules,
Agreed. Time to do something about it I’d say.
