    Good rant - another one for you is NPWS passes - why do we have to buy one in each state!!! The N stands for National!!!!

    Well done again guys!!!! Getting amongst it, getting away, getting it right and getting it wrong. Hot tip for the tinny, the cheap beach umbrella from bunnings in a bit of PVC to the front seat works a treat and also fits sideways across the tinny at the back with 2 of your brackets to hold it in when on the roof. Keep doing what you do. Awesome

    Great vid... again. I havnt been to that one. Looks good. Thank you for sharing. Just up the road is Crowdy Head and Hat Head, also awsom little spots to check out. Hat Head is my favourite fishing spot in NSW. I'm a bit like you when it comes to fishing but ive done well many times at there. Couldn't agree more with the permit system NSW has. Qld is just as stupid.
    Really appreciate the honesty with the awning coming off, shows you've got integrity. There's not to many TH-camrs that show the embarrassing cock ups. It's how you learn, and we can all learn from. It's also entertaining and good to know, I'm not the only Wally who has the occasional cock up...😜🤣👍😊

    • @ottouring

      Hi Aaron
      Totally agree with the comment about paying $$$ for each beach location. It’s a rip off by local land councils. We pay enough in rates, road taxes and fishing licences . If they were to do it it should be a state wide fee and the govt share the funds with the land council.
      Cheers

    Excellent episode and thrilled that it was in our home state NSW. Love your set up and new tinny, makes us consider leaving our van at home. If you had a little offroad van would you take it there? Check out Myall Lakes NP and Mungo Brush, there are a few sites that are similar and we recently explored North Haven NSW which I know you guys would enjoy. Loved that you called your boat Lefroy, as we have just booked to stay at North Lefroy in the coming weeks. Happy days! Cheers Marg & Steve

      I’ve recently returned from Fraser Island and loved it and managed to get some great content whilst there, even getting myself in a crap position ant Nkgala rocks. All part of the experience.

      @ottouring oh yeah Nkgala will bite. I made the mistake of helping some stuck cars there, ended up helping about 15 cars 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️.....3hrs later and we were racing the tide back down the beach. Beautiful place though.

    Good being honest about mistake. I stayed at Diamond head camp ground last year, from Vic and thought the same $60 a day beach permit is excessive, that being said you have great national park camping grounds in NSW. SA is only 4 hrs away for me and if you can get on a beach in SA you can drive on it, free !!

  • @Haywoodjablomie100
    @Haywoodjablomie100 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yes it was $60 for the permit and a few years ago Mid Coast Council jacked it up to $100, and since then the beach access has been neglected. Farquhar access was closed for a long time, same with Kylies beach access at the northern end of Crowdy Head beach was shut for 2 years. It's crap, and not only that you buy a 1 year permit today, it's only valid until the end of June and you get 4 months and have to buy another. Hastings is only $70 and has more beaches.

    • @Haywoodjablomie100
      @Haywoodjablomie100 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Oh and how good are the fried seafood packs from Manning Point shop, it's become tradition to get one every time i'm there.

    • @ottouring
      @ottouring ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Carly,
      Yes it’s a rip off.
      Atleast I’m Newcastle the yearly pass is valid from date of purchase for Stockton beach but that pass doesn’t cover blacksmiths beach. Just a money grab.
      I’ll be putting this one on my list though.
      Cheers
