I think that's just an oversight. I think they just fear them for the simple fact of them being quite... viscious Also the official mobpedia says that they spread spores for reproduction when they explode, so I wouldn't say that's an exact copy

The witch's potion resurrects the dead. The gunpowder dropped by the cat provides the explosion. Slime keeps every piece alive, even if it breaks into living pieces. Creeper never made so much sense to me.
It's vision is obviously different from ours, and thus it saw the cat differently from how we do. If 4:19 is how _I_ see cats, I would be freaking horrified.
I like how the creeper seems more terrified than aggressive and explodes basically because it had a panic attack since it can’t really understand the world around it, kinda makes sense somehow as a survival mechanism rather than a predatory one because as we saw exploding itself is it’s only means of defense and reproduction.

They are a literal man made infinite army, really shows just how intelligent what ever "race" steve comes from probably is. They made many creatures. Like the gaurdians and creepers. I can't believe that you gave a realistic explanation for why Creepers would evolve into suicide bombers. The EXPLOSION is how Creepers reproduce! I am amazed by all the canonical references: from the Squidwitch's hut being like the one in the game to Creepers fearing all feline Mobs, everything was crafted in such a detail that shows just how much the author loves the source material. What an amazing video.
I see it as almost like spores that feed off of the dead matter of the creatures destroyed in the blast. This could explain as to why they hunt down players.
I’m suprised no one’s ever made lore-based mods for minecraft where Creepers actually reproduce through exploding and planting their spores, or the player’s corpse turning into a zombie after you respawn, or turning into a skeleton if you get killed by lighting idk
@@tuckmasterg the call to battle had something like that where if you get hit by a zombie you get infected and you have to eat a cure or you will die and turn into a zombie. Then you have to kill the zombie to get your stuff back. And the better armor you had the harder the zombie is to kill which makes it extremely hard if you have the ultimate armor from orespawn
There's a mod that makes creepers do exactly that, they no longer damage blocks and instead they inflict a new status effect called creeper spores and when it runs out it spawns baby creepers around you that will later grow up into normal creepers, with the mod they will also target all mobs minus cats of any kind.
We need a part 2 of this, or even a series, where it’s the witch, barely surviving this, trying to find a way to not only prolong their life, but also trying to find a way to either study or eliminate the creepers, possibly the explosion infected them in some way so the witch also has to find out how to cure it?
Yeah, that would be cool. But then again, witches are known to be evil, seeing as they not only attack players but also help the illagers on their raids. Perhaps, if the witch did survive, it would try to manifest the power of the creepers to help them somehow or make them more powerful. Which would make for an even better sequel. Seeing as it would explain why creepers only attack players and also the origin of the charged creeper. Because that's a mob that exists... My god... you know an animation is great when people think of lore for a potential sequel for said animation.

Damn that transformation sequences was something straight from a horror show....and also crepper getting a panic attack and its heart glowing was a chef's kiss. Damn brother you nailed it.
Details in this video: 1. The creeper was made by a mismodeled pig 2. It was made from a bug (because one of the bottles looked empty so I think there was a bug) 3. The creeper was afraid of the cat 4. In the mobeastiary, it says that creepers make more creepers out of explosion. 5. There is always a black cat, a crafting table, a cauldron and a flower pot in the witches hut. 6. The witch kept a baby slime because they don't hurt you and also they spawn mostly in full moons so they kinda despawn at day without looking at them. 7. The creeper was made to camouflage in trees so the pig head was on the stump, hence the color of green for leafs and the way it looks a little bit fluffy.
Another thing I noticed, even though I’m not sure sure if it’s intentional or not, is that this story is very similar to how gunpowder was invented in real life. Someone in China tried to invent an immortality substance and they instead invented gunpowder which would prematurely end millions of lives. Similarly, the witch was trying to invent an immortality potion but instead invented the creeper which would prematurely cause many 9 year olds to rage

WAIT- The witch was trying to become immortal but instead invented a creature of gunpowder- In parallel to how gunpowder was first invented- thought to be an immortality potion.
This is how the ingredients of the potions reacted: The slime makes it so it duplicates(aka duplicating a cell) The gunpowder makes it explode The herbs makes them heal(after duplication) And make them green
I love this, dude. It was a potion of pure regeneration, an evolution of healing potions. But with that chemistry, and a dash of gunpowder and other miscellaneous potions, it used two of the closest pieces of biological pieces it could find: grass and pigs. But the death reversing properties didn't stop. It was, after all, the end all be all. And with the explosiveness of gunpowder mixed with the intense fear and probable intense pain causing them to explode....they multiply....
I know this is amazing and really goes into the deep minecraft lore but at 2:22 you can see that the gunpowder with other potions are still on the shelf with the cat

I really love this video because its not only refferencing about the fact that creepers are just a coding bug when making the pigs, but its also refferencing Matpat's theory about the creepers body being a type moss that spreads by exploding it's seeds on the ground. On the near end of the video when the creeper explodes, it's "fluids/spores" spreads on the ground and creating new creepers, exactly like Matpat's theory that when the creeper explodes, they spread their "spores" and creating new ones to further spread itself. In this case it's more like starfish, the immortality potion grew an entire """"pig"""" from just the head, if the magic is powerful enough to regrow from the smallest piece, then any chunk of the exploded creeper could regrow again, like starfish arms.

They were too far away from the explosion. And even if new creepers came, mittens would scare them away. Lets just assume they got to live happily after the event so no worries.
This reminds me of an old, very old, Minecraft point and click adventure game made in Adobe Flash, where you guide Steve into a cave where he finds a book detailing how the creepers reproduce, just like in the video. Exploding and the explosion laying seed for new creepers to spawn. If you took inspiration from that, I’d say you have greatly improved the original content, having the witch creating the creepers, and from a dead pig head no less!

I always believed that Creepers were just an extremely evolved Plant and when they explode their spores get released into the air creating more. But this. This beats my original belief so much. Not that I abandon my old belief. This is just something else to believe that's all. The part where new creepers formed stayed pretty close to my spores belief, so yay. Also the Creeper scared of the cat was such a good detail.

I love this because one: IT LOOKS AMAZING, two: this explains why creepers are afraid or cats / ocelots, and three: because of the reference to how creepers were created when Notch tried to model a pig but the source code was incorrect, making them tall instead of long
A description by a bored person: A self reciprocating entity with an unstable genetic structure due to alterations in the genes when mixed with explosive properties and other various chemicals that reanimate the being from the original source of its DNA. When mixed with the properties of the pig, and not having a body to reanimate off of which therefore wouldn’t be able to sustain the creature, the “tonic” used it’s own regenerative properties to reform the vessel in an incomplete state, which therefore forced the system to mutate to better fit the properties of the being. With the gunpowder now imbedded into the core of itself and for it also being a main mineral the being suffices off for structure and survivability, it’s brain has grown extremely hostile to any being which displays signs of fear and threat, and attempts to engage in malicious combat with said threat by moving in to attack.. ..but again due to the gunpowder being an explosive and embedded directly into the bloodstream, when they approach the target their heart rate increases to such an extent that the heart is ignited by the pressure(which can also be resulted the same way with flames to work as a fuse), and the body explodes before it gets the chance do anything truly engaging(which it would have a hard time doing anyways, considering that the structure it formed isn’t sufficient for any other means than basic movement and jumping and would have no real means to do damage). Once the being explodes it’s DNA Plasmatic substance is radically spewed in all directions, and when nightfall comes(when there is no intense UV Rays limiting the virus or light sources like heat that restrict its properties), the substance will proceed to multiply and regenerate back to the form it took when it exploded. Due to it already being severely mutated and altered, it is extremely unlikely that it will mutate again, and more so improbable for it to evolve due to the constant rebuilding of its structure and having no room to develop further. Though… it is not completely impossible. The creature also has a severe reaction to “felines”due to the original Pig having faded memories and instincts that passed over in the regeneration. It will not explode when confronted by one, and will simply do everything in its power to avoid it. Also due to its vocal coords resembling a fuse and melting in all other standpoints, the creature has a very unintentionally developed stealth like ability, and will barely make any audible noise besides when it’s heart starts racing and chokes its vocal coords for the fuse sound. Due to its stalker like demeanor and consistent comments of it looking like a creep, the creature has been deemed the name *”Creeper”* .
so that kinda ecplaines why it can de- fuse, its probably because its heart rate lowers when the player walks away, but the de fuse it not that fast and can still explode when nothing is in its blast radius kinda cool

There's a mod that makes creepers do exactly that, they no longer damage blocks and instead they inflict a new status effect called creeper spores and when it runs out it spawns baby creepers around you that will later grow up into normal creepers, with the mod they will also target all mobs minus cats of any kind.

1. The creeper was made by a mismodeled pig
2. It was made from a bug (because one of the bottles looked empty so I think there was a bug)
3. The creeper was afraid of the cat
4. In the mobeastiary, it says that creepers make more creepers out of explosion.
5. There is always a black cat, a crafting table, a cauldron and a flower pot in the witches hut.
6. The witch kept a baby slime because they don't hurt you and also they spawn mostly in full moons so they kinda despawn at day without looking at them.
7. The creeper was made to camouflage in trees so the pig head was on the stump, hence the color of green for leafs and the way it looks a little bit fluffy.
Creeper was green because it blends in old minecraft grass texture.

Another thing I noticed, even though I’m not sure sure if it’s intentional or not, is that this story is very similar to how gunpowder was invented in real life. Someone in China tried to invent an immortality substance and they instead invented gunpowder which would prematurely end millions of lives. Similarly, the witch was trying to invent an immortality potion but instead invented the creeper which would prematurely cause many 9 year olds to rage

I love this, dude. It was a potion of pure regeneration, an evolution of healing potions. But with that chemistry, and a dash of gunpowder and other miscellaneous potions, it used two of the closest pieces of biological pieces it could find: grass and pigs.
But the death reversing properties didn't stop. It was, after all, the end all be all. And with the explosiveness of gunpowder mixed with the intense fear and probable intense pain causing them to explode....they multiply....

I really love this video because its not only refferencing about the fact that creepers are just a coding bug when making the pigs, but its also refferencing Matpat's theory about the creepers body being a type moss that spreads by exploding it's seeds on the ground. On the near end of the video when the creeper explodes, it's "fluids/spores" spreads on the ground and creating new creepers, exactly like Matpat's theory that when the creeper explodes, they spread their "spores" and creating new ones to further spread itself. Really great video! Good job!

In this case it's more like starfish, the immortality potion grew an entire """"pig"""" from just the head, if the magic is powerful enough to regrow from the smallest piece, then any chunk of the exploded creeper could regrow again, like starfish arms.

They were too far away from the explosion. And even if new creepers came, mittens would scare them away. Lets just assume they got to live happily after the event so no worries.
I think mittens did this on purpose. They now have freedom from the witch, and can herd explosive monsters. Mittens is now all powerful.

This reminds me of an old, very old, Minecraft point and click adventure game made in Adobe Flash, where you guide Steve into a cave where he finds a book detailing how the creepers reproduce, just like in the video. Exploding and the explosion laying seed for new creepers to spawn. If you took inspiration from that, I’d say you have greatly improved the original content, having the witch creating the creepers, and from a dead pig head no less!

I always believed that Creepers were just an extremely evolved Plant and when they explode their spores get released into the air creating more. But this. This beats my original belief so much. Not that I abandon my old belief. This is just something else to believe that's all. The part where new creepers formed stayed pretty close to my spores belief, so yay. Also the Creeper scared of the cat was such a good detail.

The creepers are basically anxiety disorder creatures if you come up to them they're hearts start ticking making it tick even faster and then they snap
I love this because one: IT LOOKS AMAZING, two: this explains why creepers are afraid or cats / ocelots, and three: because of the reference to how creepers were created when Notch tried to model a pig but the source code was incorrect, making them tall instead of long
A description by a bored person:
A self reciprocating entity with an unstable genetic structure due to alterations in the genes when mixed with explosive properties and other various chemicals that reanimate the being from the original source of its DNA.
When mixed with the properties of the pig, and not having a body to reanimate off of which therefore wouldn’t be able to sustain the creature, the “tonic” used it’s own regenerative properties to reform the vessel in an incomplete state, which therefore forced the system to mutate to better fit the properties of the being.
With the gunpowder now imbedded into the core of itself and for it also being a main mineral the being suffices off for structure and survivability, it’s brain has grown extremely hostile to any being which displays signs of fear and threat, and attempts to engage in malicious combat with said threat by moving in to attack..
..but again due to the gunpowder being an explosive and embedded directly into the bloodstream, when they approach the target their heart rate increases to such an extent that the heart is ignited by the pressure(which can also be resulted the same way with flames to work as a fuse), and the body explodes before it gets the chance do anything truly engaging(which it would have a hard time doing anyways, considering that the structure it formed isn’t sufficient for any other means than basic movement and jumping and would have no real means to do damage).
Once the being explodes it’s DNA Plasmatic substance is radically spewed in all directions, and when nightfall comes(when there is no intense UV Rays limiting the virus or light sources like heat that restrict its properties), the substance will proceed to multiply and regenerate back to the form it took when it exploded. Due to it already being severely mutated and altered, it is extremely unlikely that it will mutate again, and more so improbable for it to evolve due to the constant rebuilding of its structure and having no room to develop further. Though… it is not completely impossible.
The creature also has a severe reaction to “felines”due to the original Pig having faded memories and instincts that passed over in the regeneration. It will not explode when confronted by one, and will simply do everything in its power to avoid it.
Also due to its vocal coords resembling a fuse and melting in all other standpoints, the creature has a very unintentionally developed stealth like ability, and will barely make any audible noise besides when it’s heart starts racing and chokes its vocal coords for the fuse sound.
Due to its stalker like demeanor and consistent comments of it looking like a creep, the creature has been deemed the name *”Creeper”* .
