I took a close look at the chiseled sandstone. "XTZ" is what I found. When put upside down, the galactic X is what appears. The middle letter looks a lot like the galactic T, when taken in with a closer look. And the Z just looks very obvious from looking at the chiseled sandstone and the galactic Z.

The creepers outer shell (the moss) might grow after an explosion then an pig comes and gets "corrupted" after the coruption the pig gets mutated propably only the moss was created by the ancient builders. And the tnt might be an result of residue sand and gunpowder existent in the desert. I can only guess that the desert was the creepers home of creation. The moss might have an catnip like effect to cats and that might be why they run away

If the creepers couldn't stop the intruders the booby trap is the last resort. But due to the ancient civilization going extinct and creepers being able to multiply, the creeper population got out of hand since the ancient civilization is no longer there to control them. As for the fear of cats, since the ancient civilization is somewhat based on ancient Egyptians, cats are revered as a god in particular Bastet, who was depicted as a fierce lioness warrior and also a goddess of protection against contagious diseases and evil spirits. Seeing as how creepers (in present day Minecraft) are evil and also spread like a contagion, Bastet (cat goddess) is the creeper's worst nightmare.

The creepers probably have TNT in them so they can guard the desert temples weren't rogue cause they were made to protect them that's why they have creeper symbols all over the temples as warning signs just like we have "Beware of Dog" signs the text on the sandstone could say "beware of creeper" or something like it and aren't actually ingredients on how to make a creeper as those could be somewhere else or have been destroyed to keep it from getting into the wrong hands and this also explains the wither sandstone as they probably had the same purpose of being a sign in structures or temples made of red sandstone probably in the badlands.

Haven’t watched yet, but it’s to keep creepers out of villages. Iron golems can’t attack them or they’d blow up the village. Since every other mob is fended off by golems, they needed to do something to also chase off creepers.
This also includes Phantoms. If they bypass the Iron Golems, the cats will be the last resort. Flying creatures are fast & agile, and therefore, hard to smash into the stratosphere.
Cats hissing when they are irritated.. Creepers tends to hiss when they are nearly to explode. They are evolutionary adaptate to runaway when they hear hissing to avoid the chain reaction with other creeper. Ok, but why the iron golem doesn't attack creepers? There are other mobs that in theory were created by humans but they still attack or are attacked by the iron golem, so why is the creeper the exception?

To add on with the theory, the desert people made the creepers to kill the ancient builders from the sick stuff they did like making the enderman and piglins as slaves, that explains why the other monsters also hated the ancient builder. The ancient builders are overwhelmed and got wiped out

It is possible that, in addition to what was said in the video, the cats have become their natural predators of the creepers or something like that.
Maybe the "spores" smell like something good to the creepers, so by then they grow into more creepers, they actually walk over to where the player is and see its the player so they explode?

Fun fact: Creepers were actually able to blend into grass in the early versions of minecraft! It’s also implied in the mc movie leaks that creepers are indeed made of plants/foliage.

Here's my take, the creepers could of been the guardians of the temples to protect the treasures inside, the little cells around the temples was where they were supposed to stand guard for any intruders. If the creepers couldn't stop the intruders the booby trap is the last resort. But due to the ancient civilization going extinct and creepers being able to multiply, the creeper population got out of hand since the ancient civilization is no longer there to control them.
As for the fear of cats, since the ancient civilization is somewhat based on ancient Egyptians, cats are revered as a god in particular Bastet, who was depicted as a fierce lioness warrior and also a goddess of protection against contagious diseases and evil spirits. Seeing as how creepers (in present day Minecraft) are evil and also spread like a contagion, Bastet (cat goddess) is the creeper's worst nightmare.

I think Creepers may have some sort of compound in them that functions similarly to catnip. Seeing as how cats love catnip, Creepers will keep away from the felines so that they can reach peak ripeness. Also in the game, cats don't actually attack Creepers, however tamed Osolots will.
Well I came up with some adjustments for your theory
1: creepers were made to protect the valuable loot on the temples
2: they are scared of cats not because they where not supposed to hurt them , but because cats herded them

My theory is that Mojang added the feature of creepers being scared of cats to give people a reason to go tame them. Other than that, and being absolutely adorable, (I'm a cat person) there's not really a reason to spend time trying to find one, unlike wolves who will willingly fight for you.

My headcanon is that the creeper’s skin is like that of a scratching post (because of it’s rough texture) and feels extreme pain when the cat scratches it.

my theory: in ancient egypt, killing a cat (even by accident) was punishable by death. the creeper probably had many accidental explosions, multiple times killing a cat. so the creeper learned from its lesson and ran away from all cats it saw as to avoid even accidentally blowing them up like last time.

The creepers probably have TNT in them so they can guard the desert temples weren't rogue cause they were made to protect them that's why they have creeper symbols all over the temples as warning signs just like we have "Beware of Dog" signs the text on the sandstone could say "beware of creeper" or something like it and aren't actually ingredients on how to make a creeper as those could be somewhere else or have been destroyed to keep it from getting into the wrong hands and this also explains the wither sandstone as they probably had the same purpose of being a sign in structures or temples made of red sandstone probably in the badlands.

I think that the creeper experiment was used to protect the temple, why they added TNT into the creepers, and maybe they scared of cats because Egyptians worshipped them and the creepers were too scared to hurt them as that would betray their creators.

Haven’t watched yet, but it’s to keep creepers out of villages. Iron golems can’t attack them or they’d blow up the village. Since every other mob is fended off by golems, they needed to do something to also chase off creepers.
This also includes Phantoms. If they bypass the Iron Golems, the cats will be the last resort. Flying creatures are fast & agile, and therefore, hard to smash into the stratosphere.
Cats hissing when they are irritated.. Creepers tends to hiss when they are nearly to explode. They are evolutionary adaptate to runaway when they hear hissing to avoid the chain reaction with other creeper. The symbols of creeper on the buildings was about that builders believed that symbols would magically protect the buildings from explosion of creepers.
