I absolutely love mine. I fly mostly off of either an asphalt field or a fabric runway with mine and the only issue I have ever had with it is the main landing gear door/fairings can pop the little tabs that clip onto the strut fairly easily if you slightly bounce a landing because of the super nice shock compression on the landing gear. I bye a few extras whenever they are in stock ;-)
Dat flying skills! It is so much fun to watch these. Believe me, if I knew something you coud do better, I would say it. There is nothing I can complain about, though.
No doubt this is one sweet 90mm EDF Jet. I have the Rebel V2 and I'm a fan of Freewing. The price point keeps this 90mm Stinger out of my hanger for now. I was considering the Freewing Yak -130 70mm which is 6S but there is a 4S 12 blade option as well. Don't have any investment in 6S packs but I do have many 4S packs. First have you ever tested or witnessed the Yak -130 in either 6S or 4S configuration? I would love to see that one on 4S. I can appreciate the higher speed achievable with a 6S but more than 95mph is really not practical at our smallish private field.
Not really, if you use take off flap setting it just shortens your take off roll. I generally don't use any for take off but use full flaps for landing unless it's a little windy, with a good head wind you can just use half flap or none at all. Just watch out for the bounce, she loves to bounce if you don't stick the landing just right, and when it does it usually takes out the main gear covers. I cut my covers in half just below where they clip on the strut because they kept breaking and popping off. Another issue is the front gear strut pin. It is made of very weak metal and will snap off if you come down too hard on the nose. I guess it's made this way to help prevent snapping out the retract on hard impact. After replacing mine a few times with the factory part I decided to make my own out of a hardened steel screw that I milled down to fit. Works like a champ, but I have to check the screws holding the retract every few flights to make sure they're tight. Fun jet though.
I really don't see myself getting tired of this demo that you have published- have watched it several times. Awesome demo as I would say...

Thanks for the tip. I'll get my kit with some landing gear door parts as spares.
I'm getting this jet! Good flying. Great camera work too with tight zoom still tracking the aircraft.
I want to make the trip from here in Southern Illinois down to Miami soon to see you fly in person. Hopefully in 2015 ! Great video as always!!!
I mostly fly in Orlando.... but will probably make more trips to Miami...

Rich, can you give me directions to Markham Park in Miami.Any landing fees etc.
wow you're pretty good at this stuff. What are your rates set for a slow roll at 01:03?
I'm saving this video as a bible to all the edf jet maneuvers I need to learn and master. 😆

never seen the YAK 130... However,I have one coming soon and will do a review:)
Hope you can get or they will send you the 4S motor option along with the 6S standard version. I'm looking forward to the review.
Do you need flaps DOWN while taking off?

I wish my freewing intruder would go vertical like that!!!!
