I have smaller hands, and I've used my friends' OP Open and just found it a bit odd to hold especially with that massive camera hubcap lol. I more than likely would get used to it, but the F6 gives me just big enough of an outer display while allowing me to still hold it confidently with one hand. Ultimately, Samsung needs to release two versions of the Fold, one with traditional ratio they are known for and the "ultra" version similar to the Open.
You preferring the thinner screen is YOUR preference and no one else's...nothing wrong with that. Even tho I like the open better I chose the Fold 6. I find so many Open phones that cracked the inner screen for no reason. Then comes the customer service which is a problem with the oneplus in the USA. Samsung will replace the inner screen for 200.00 if you break it. Plus the problems the wifi has on the oneplus and always had with other phones. Battery life on the Samsung is very good regardless what these reviewers say. You have to let the phone learn your habits before you judge. I dont like getting a year old processor. No wireless charging and only 4 years of update 7 for Samsung. Reviewers keep complaining about the cameras. All foldable phones have lesser cameras. DXO gave the best camera to the fold 6. Dxo is the benchmark for years. I do find the cameras on the fold 6 very good. Not as good as the S24 ultra but very good. All these put me over to Samsung.
Hi. Thanks for the video. I have been looking for this comparison. It seem Samsung is too relaxed thinking Apple is their only competition. They are making skinny/narrow phones that become tablets which is one dimensional, Oneplus is making normal phones that become tablets which I think is better because you have the best of both worlds. I have heard people say that Samsung expect you to use the inner screen more. I just don't get it, why not make a device that it's multi dimensional? I have Samsung devices because of their ecosystem and software but I am beginning to have my doubts going forward. Huawei has a comparable ecosystem and software but unfortunately I can't get them due to all the work around you have to do. So I am waiting for oneplus open 2,i trust these Chinese companies, they are improving really fast and Samsung would have no choice but sit up.

OnePlus open is still the best foldable you can get in America hands down in almost every category. It's only faults are no wireless charging and you can't get the pen for it very easy. Other than that it stomps the fold 6 in every category. As for updates, do any of you really believe that a folding phone is going to hold up for 7 years for you to actually get those updates?
@MTGProductions thank you. If the rumors are true, then the open 2 will be the top folding phone. Just hope I can trade in my open for the new one. And guessing open plus, they'll have a lot of good incentives
Once you start taking pictures you will not even care. I swear it is Samsung Ultra level, but with more realistic colors. I have taken pictures that are worth framing, and the high resolution means that you can even blow it up really big if you want to. 64mp for the tele As a side note, I actually noticed that the camera bump is perfect for resting your index finger under while using it closed. It makes it feel more secure in your hand
I can safely say that as a five year Z fold owner, no one outside our fake look at me I gotta fold world gives a tiny chit about what generation or brand foldable we have. All they see is folding phone and right away it's "hey is that new folding phone? I hear they are expensive". I never hear, is that a Samsung or Honor or One plus open brand name. All they see is a "folding" phone aka mini tablet. This is why I know these reviews are only for pretentious cornballs ready to burn $2000 every time a new device comes out just to say that they have one which ends up being totally fkcn expensive and ridiculous.....LMBO!
I love my fold 6, but I will say...I do miss open canvas. It's straight up better if you're going to multitask between 3 or more apps. Samsung squishes everything on the display, and it's less useful. I wish samsung would copy that. 🤣
There is give and take, I went from fold to open. I'm kind of bummed out that I can't do split screen with some apps because the window gets stretched. One example is playing a game with a TH-cam video, in a vertical split. On my fold they would be perfectly fine, on my open the game ends up stretched and unusable Seeing both of them side by side confirms my choice in picking the open. It is such a comfortable phone to use on either screen
@amil89 I've owned/used both, and you're right. Neither device does everything perfectly. "Good Lock" and "Labs" on the fold do solve a lot of the issues you just mentioned and work quite well. On the other hand, the front display on the open is better, and how open canvas handles multitasking is so smooth/fluid that I have to wonder if dex is even needed or useful anymore. Now, I want a foldable that combines the best of both, lol. I plan on keeping my fold 6 for a while, but who knows... If the open 2 looks incredible, I may switch back. Open canvas is very unique and enjoyable to use. I ultimately went with the fold 6 for stability and support. If my fold breaks, I can easily get it repaired/replaced anywhere. Reddit has quite a few open owners who had their main display break and oneplus took 2 months to fix their phones or send them refurbs. They absolutely need to fix their support. That's totally unacceptable for such an expensive device. Apparently, these customers were offered $50 gift cards for the inconvenience. That's a slap to the face and wildly inappropriate. So, for those of you looking into the open, I highly recommend 3rd party insurance. I don't know anyone that can be without their phone for 2 months.
I rather take all the Ai features over 3 apps side by side. 2 apps is fine for me. U can litterally open more than 3 apps side by side on Samsung by swiping to next page and swiping between the apps. Oneplus open only shows 2 apps fully anyway
@@27Binx72i prefer the slimmer display. But if I could swap it out for an oneplus open, theb I ONLY would if it's the Apex edition... But Z fold is the top of food chain when it comes to price and brand
@@droo3010 I'd recommend looking into it more on TH-cam, if you haven't already. It's more than 3 apps side by side. Open canvas is incredibly versatile, so much so that I'd love to see something like that implemented on other computing devices, like desktops. It's awesome. That's what's nice about having multiple options on the market though. You can decide what's more important to you and choose what fits you best.
come on. I'll be honest here. I have z fold 6 and my brother have this one plus open. The looks very nice with the one plus open. But believe me, My brother wants the z fold sooo badly. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Compared side by side, I pick the open for it looks ONLY. BUT..... for General experiences, z fold 6 wins this. OS, Gaming, S pen, I mean, The OS is way better. And I use dex mode which not everyone use obviously is OP. he also have this problem when my brother try to minimize while playing games to open another apps, it crashes randomly. Not every time but mostly. and Some random reboot. This pisses him super. i am glad I choose Z fold 6.
Open has better battery life faster charging times, better camera, wider outer screen, and frankly I like the software better than I did on my seat fold five. Also has pen support on both front and open screen. The one thing I'll give Samsung is the sharp Corners which I think is good but can be problematic to hold
After switching to OnePlus open I am all on board with Chinese foldables. After this I might go try a honor or xiaomi Funny how they say that communism doesn't breed innovation 😂 how the hell are they one or two generations ahead of us?
I would take the Open in looks 😅. The camera on the Open looks like a high-end camera. The small rings around the fold 6 camera looks so tacky and cheap. At least with the Open, it's a talking piece.
The only reason I switch form the one plus open to the fold 6 was: because of the software, customization and the open doesn't fully works with the android auto . It has it but not fully with a BMW. Lacks some stuff. If at least the software was better I definitely go back
Does Oneplus open even look like a premium phone? It simply appears visually as well as in hand, like two mid range chinese phones joined together. N don't get me started on the software part, even OnePlus wud agree that One Ui is unmatched for now.
I encourage you to get one in your hands if you have the chance. It feels very premium and sturdy. I think more so than the fold6 It's weird because it feels light but also strong. It's hard to explain until you feel it. After seeing the rumors of the new pixel fold, I think one plus open is going to be the king of global foldables for another year. It's basically what I imagine a fold Ultra would be from Samsung
if you prefer wider cover screen...then why don't you just buy the bar type regular phone....that is much cheaper and lighter...and when you use wider cover screen phone, the user don't open the phone as much as expected...80% of the phone use is done on the cover screen...that means you don't need the foldable phone in the first place...
It’s funny how samsung users will call apple users “sheep” yet not see it in themselves😂 basically we all play into company’s hands in some way. As an Apple user, i think the OP is more appealing than the Fold. The new Google Pixel Fold Pro looks really good but they make me nervous with their lack of talk of the device and concentrating so much on Gemini instead.
The photos from the galaxy were better. Youre just sour because Samsung didn't give you the S24 cameras. I noticed nothing but negativity in this review.
Try taking a zoom shot on the ZF6 and watch it fall apart. Or do a selfie... The fold6 has far too many compromises. The outer screen is the biggest one
The only thing the one plus got going for it, is the outer screen dude, everything else specially in software one plus doesn't hold a candle to Samsung. Is one plus giving you a check under the table lol😂
Why are we comparing Chinese made phones. Don't you realize what implications this has. I mean child labour is just one of the reasons, but there are so many more reasons not to buy a Chinese made phone. Come on, people, let's look farther than our nose.
Do you realise that most things are made in China 😂 the world needs China. American brands don’t care about China’s policies, they care about cheap costs.
Fold 6 looks amazing that other fold looks like crap for old people. The fold 6 looks more modernized. I'd never want to own the one plus. I'd rather pay extra money. Then get something that feels cheap. If you want the one plus your on a budget. Just get the 6. Who really cares about the the camera. I want it for games. But i know all the budget people want to feel good about the cheap phone they got. So I get it.

@@Virru112 The fact that the iPhone Mini has not been successful is due to their excessive prices and not their size, and comparing the external display of the Fold 6 to that of the iPhone Mini is quite normal, they are both smartphones 🤷🏽♂️
It's pointless to show how the photos compare when 98% of viewers don't pay for the higher 1080p bitrate via TH-cam Premium.
Waiting for OnePlus open 2 🎉
Same!!
I'm looking at the comparison on my one plus open. 😅
Oneplus open actually supports oppo pen for front and inner screen. 😅😊
That don't count
using oneplus open from 4 months... better than fold 6
I got the z fold 6 and I am loving it
*Few Questions if we switch from One UI:*
1) Any App like GoodLock on it
2) Can we just Lock the Front Screen to Potrait, like we can with GoodLock & keep Inside Screen to Auto (Bixby Routines)
3) Can we choose any App to open up, when we connect to Bluetooth Headphones - Routines in GoodLock
4) Will Excel Sheets work just like on Samsung, Read Edit for FREE
5) Any issues opening Apps in Full Screen
6) Will we able to do a FREE Full Cloud Back like in Samsung ☆(have to pay monthly for iPhone)
7) Can we download Themes & just Icons of Themes ?
8) Will we be able to change Back, Home, Multiple Icons like in - NavStar in GoodLock
9) Will we able change Task Changer in SlimList, like we can with - HomeUp in GoodLock
10) OneHand Operation & Routines features anything similar on it - GoodLock
11) Do we have option of continue App on Front Screen
12) Can we Stack Widgets like in Samsung ☆
▪︎ Need to see Battery Drain Test vs other Folds
That trench of a crease on the z fold 6 alone would be too distracting to even consider buying it
From what people saying the samsung inner screen is more durable
This is from someone that hasn't even got one
I have and it's fine not deep as f5
You obviously don't have one then
The crease on the fold 6 looks horrible, hasnt changed one bit, i was shocked with the oneplus, almost invisible
Mines fine
@@Legiey I'd prefer that than a massive hole punch cutting in to content and films such a bad placement as well and eyesore and least with the crease only visible at certain angles
@keithburns5082 it's in the corner so it does not get in the way
Great video and i agree totally 😊
OnePlus open is still the best foldable you can get in America hands down in almost every category. It's only faults are no wireless charging and you can't get the pen for it very easy. Other than that it stomps the fold 6 in every category. As for updates, do any of you really believe that a folding phone is going to hold up for 7 years for you to actually get those updates?
Went from the fold 3 to the open. No regrets.
Awesome upgrade!
@MTGProductions thank you. If the rumors are true, then the open 2 will be the top folding phone. Just hope I can trade in my open for the new one. And guessing open plus, they'll have a lot of good incentives
I might considered One plus but don't like their Camera setup at all ..May b good cameras but that round camera setup is not for me..
Once you start taking pictures you will not even care. I swear it is Samsung Ultra level, but with more realistic colors.
I have taken pictures that are worth framing, and the high resolution means that you can even blow it up really big if you want to. 64mp for the tele
As a side note, I actually noticed that the camera bump is perfect for resting your index finger under while using it closed. It makes it feel more secure in your hand
@@TGMisKillingTheMiddleClassit's still ugly to look at
Heard cases are a issue
I would go with samsung fold for 1 hand use.
Oneplus Open is Waaay better! Zfod 6 is no rival.
On my fold they would be perfectly fine, on my open the game ends up stretched and unusable
Seeing both of them side by side confirms my choice in picking the open.
@@YoungWise2011it has a worse battery and the fast charging just overheats the phone
One plus is good phone.. but green line and after some month battery issue
Damn Samsung Knights are worse than the Apple Mafia .....
💯

Avoid Samsing go OnePlus or xiaomi😅
After switching to OnePlus open I am all on board with Chinese foldables. After this I might go try a honor or xiaomi
Funny how they say that communism doesn't breed innovation 😂 how the hell are they one or two generations ahead of us?

If you were to go to a meeting or party, would you want to flash your sleek Z fold 6 or the ugly One plus open ?
@@erfan5483 I could care less what anyone at a party would say about the phone I use.
That's subjective
I would take the Open in looks 😅. The camera on the Open looks like a high-end camera. The small rings around the fold 6 camera looks so tacky and cheap. At least with the Open, it's a talking piece.
Only pathetic people buy their phones for others opinion😂😂😂 and yes, OP looks better doesnt look like a remote control for my tele🤣🤣
It's all about software
Love my OnePlus Open. OnePlus for the WIN!!
the camera design of OP ia so ugly. theh need to redesign it. its a premium phone with rug look like cheap camera design.
The only reason I switch form the one plus open to the fold 6 was: because of the software, customization and the open doesn't fully works with the android auto . It has it but not fully with a BMW. Lacks some stuff. If at least the software was better I definitely go back
I choose vivo x fold 3 pro
Agree one plus lot better
Lol looked it up just in case and one plus is a Chinese company. Automatic never buy from me💀
Does Oneplus open even look like a premium phone? It simply appears visually as well as in hand, like two mid range chinese phones joined together. N don't get me started on the software part, even OnePlus wud agree that One Ui is unmatched for now.
I encourage you to get one in your hands if you have the chance. It feels very premium and sturdy. I think more so than the fold6
It's weird because it feels light but also strong. It's hard to explain until you feel it.
After seeing the rumors of the new pixel fold, I think one plus open is going to be the king of global foldables for another year.
It's basically what I imagine a fold Ultra would be from Samsung
I have both , The open is better 🤷🏾
wtf is that hideous thing at the back of the cheap plastic wannabe Samsung phone
id pick op12 and fold 6 or s24u
I'm starting to wonder why I've been using Samsung phones for so long... one plus has gotten so good
@@TGMisKillingTheMiddleClass because theyre better but you cant beat op12 due to its flagship hardwares at 900usd.
Z fold 6 bad camera
if you prefer wider cover screen...then why don't you just buy the bar type regular phone....that is much cheaper and lighter...and when you use wider cover screen phone, the user don't open the phone as much as expected...80% of the phone use is done on the cover screen...that means you don't need the foldable phone in the first place...
Fk I just bought trash fold 6

Yeah. BTW , Apple is produced in China, mainly.

Do you realise that most things are made in China 😂 the world needs China. American brands don’t care about China’s policies, they care about cheap costs.
Absurd
I like oneplus, but you can't beat DEX!
I wish the Galaxy Z Fold Special Edition was the Fold 6.
