Godwyn is buried in the deeproot depths far below Leyndell, but what you see in Stormveil is actually a manifestation of him (it's the same visage that you can obeserve in both places). I think it's caused by the deathroot spawning from Godwyn's corpse that reach far and wide and took over the Stormveil basement. The crazy thing is, even in Farum Azula you could find death roots everywhere, meaning his influence is not only physical, but literally spreading through the entire dimension with seemingly nothing that could stop it

I think the festival mentioned at the beginning is the Radahn festival? And maybe the game will be at least partially on the dreamlike state? Or we get visions of/from Miquella throughout?
This feels like such a love letter from Fromsoft. The DS3 references are so obvious, but I love it. This DLC is gonna be a masterpiece, and I have no doubt about that.

I believe he crushed a scar/soreseal, as in the talisman that looks like an eye. The blind maiden eats literal eyes, which specifically has to do with the three fingers and frenzied flame. I don't think they're related.
