Does anyone know why Maggie, Mrs. Calloway and Grace only appear in cutscenes and not as playable characters too? If they are the main protagonists of the original movie

A horse beat em' up and a goat platformer, truly an amazing combo for today's standards!
This game is actually pretty fun and well made to be honest. I especially like the platforming levels with Jeb.
