The Apothecary is great, however a lot of Blood Angel players are upset he doesn't have a jetpack option. Also, that combat patrol would be great for Necromunda. Use the cops as Palantine Enforces and the rest as various hired guns, hanger one,ECT...
Holy shit! Jay I haven't seen your videos for like a year and haven't been playing Warhammer much either but this randomly popped into recommended videos! Glad to re-discover the channel haha!
That’s my go to. In games around 1000-1500 I have a squad of 5 sword brethren, helbrecth and apothecary with tanhauser bones for fnp 5+. In game of 2000 reinforce the squad with 5 more and there’s nothing they can’t bring down
@GardenOfWar they're characters, but they have a rule where they can be attached to a squad even if a lieutenant, captain or chapter master model is attached to that squad already.
@@HippoEnjoyer Oh, my primaris-only siege specialist Iron Hands Successors with a love of hazard stripes? No, they couldn't possibly be mixed gene seeds, Cawl would never.
A sneaky move when bringing back folks with an apothecary is setting up that marine in the direction of your next charge target. It can be an extra 3-4" before you even move. If the datasheet would have 1-2 extra useful abilities, attach them next to any (like Judiciar) character, then i could see running 3 of them. Would be crazy with bladeguard vets 😂 (if it could lead them) Also. THE SPACE WOLVES NEED THEIR WOLF PRIESTS :V
Speaking of invuln saves, I've recently been playing a lot of AOS and I gotta say, I really dig that invuln saves just aren't a thing in AOS, you just have your normal save and ward saves (feel no pains) and that combined with the lack of a strength vs toughness mechanic (you just wound on the roll shown in the weapon profile) and the fact that fights have alternating activation even on charges means that it feels like combat goes at least 50% faster and is more of a risk.
Fairly new to the tabletop side of the hobby, and I agree that apothecaries could be more impressive for regular space marines. That said, in Grey Knights (my first army that I'm still collecting!) you get that "One model back" ability on GK Terminator squads if you choose a narthecium war gear. it feels great to bring a whole terminator back into the fray!
I like the new Lemartes. He just looks like a fucking gremlin. Honestly, I like having things look a bit more generic, since that means they can be used for more than just their core chapter.
there are even 3 variants of the Adeptus Arbites Squads, only one is Battle Line tho, the Vigilant Squad which is basically a less good Exaction Squad. Still lets you take 12 Squads in total. With the new Codex for the Agents of the Imperium you can finally play an Adeptus Arbites Army. Hope they get good Transport Options. I kinda want to make a kitbash Arbites Judge (Inquisitor Rules). Tbh you could probably reflavor quite a few units and use some more Arbites kitbashes / alternate Models. That would be sick
I know it’s expensive, but sometimes I run 10 vanguard vets with jump packs, a sang priest and a captain. This gives the unit 50 S8, AP2, Dam1 with lethal hits, running Toughness 4, 2 wounds, 3+, 4++, 5+++ It is surprisingly durable and packs a punch
felt like for a while the Primaris stuff was just trying to rebuild all the basic units of the Space Marines, and now we're finally gonna start seeing more unique units and chapter specific stuff
My thought on the box is...well... Its a lot of extra bodies, be it for KT, Necromunda or other stuff AND you get Flamesaw Priest without having to buy the Blackstone box (which is also weird coming from GW) plus some extra cool models like the henchmen, the puppers or that little floaty skull thing in the top corner.
Why! He doesn't even has a mechanicum army! And: Prime black, brush with gunmetal, wash with nuln oil, brush with silver, Paint hood red and Eyes green like he showed in other models: Done!
Seeing that winged shoulderpad, the Captain could be converted into a loyalist Emperor's Children. Have you considered trying kitbashing something from one of the many 40K AU out there? Like the Dornian Heresy and so on?
Good for all but pretty shit for BA. Sums up the refresh. We lost chapter exclusive units in favour for THE EXACT SAME kit everyone else gets and the one bespoke unit we got left has ben trimmed and made uglier. Being sent to legends wouldve been better.
if i get codex imperial agents and at 98 aud that is a big if during convention season I'll probably try and run an imperial agents force supplimented by an imperial knight or two (likely crusader and if i can run a second then a paladin). funny enough the plan already was for there to be a focus on arbites in my force before gw put them in the combat patrol as I have been part of arbites fb groups since 5th ed wh40k and I currently have two squads under way (one is waiting on me getting the exaction squad box for the spare weapons and the other is awaiting my finding the time to finish them after i built most of their unit from mini of the month models that i aquired last year during a pilgrimage of gw stores in my state and now have the bodies, accessories and parts to fill out minus any special weapons) but before i go full hog on arbites i need to know they are battle line in the codex first. no point my buying more arbites than i can field in the army. I may also get around to getting deathwatch stuff too, i've always wanted a corvis blackstar so i might add one to my birthday list
For me as a BA player problem is that Sanguinary Priest looks like another design of apothecary when he must be more of a priest and more blood angels kind of looking guy, design pretty moderate. Its good miniature but it definitely cold be more chapter oriented.
i don't really play warhammer, i paint them a little bit but if i do its blood angels i am pumped for this and tempted to get more.... is this the start? is this how you end up playing warhammer?
Another reason the sanguinary priest is better than a normal apothecary is they let him keep his chain sword! It’s always a bummer to attach my apothecary to my blade guard where I think the “get one model back” has some value, but like the blade guard ancient he’s not really contributing to the damage output of the squad and it’s a little bit of a bummer

If you read any of the books in WH40k universe, guardsmen are like an elite soldier unit that mops the floor with any other non specialized infantry like PDF.
