No doubt I love seeing those old trucks still rolling cause as a country if trucks stop America stops and we don't want that to happen period..
Used to drive a Pete COE exactly the same as yours, even same colour powered by 3406 and 15 speed. Boy this brings back many memories. Last Pete I had was. 1995 357 with an N 14 500 and 18 speed heavy haul, usually 140,000 through the Rocky Mountains.
Them n14s were good engines and produced good power if they were set up right.....😉👍
@@fil1329 there was only one way to set them, some people have the touch, some don’t. I was fortunate, I was always able to get the max power with the factory specs. Once electronics came to be in 1989 the difference was a proper specified drive train and some drivers were just better at figuring out the best way to operate them. I worked with the Cummins engineers and listened closely to what they had to say about operating an engine. Once got caught in a snow/ice storm and climbing a hill pulled the engine down to 975 rpm, made the hill with a load of 140,000 gross, would never have done this on my own, after that I became a believer of the engineers. The N 14 was bullet proof but people always have to monkey with the driveline spec. Doesn’t usually work. Keep safe my friend.

Bruh this is my first time seeing your video and I have to say I applaud you. Especially the having to deal with sanitizing yourself. I drive as well but mostly locally and I understand not being able to even go inside to see my trailer get loaded. They could be putting ANYTHING in there or taking anything out. Stay strong Bruh. Just found you'r channel i'm from LIVERPOOL UK.I am 70 first cab-over i drove was Ford Thames Trader,KM Bedford ,Volvo F88 tandem rear axles, Scania 141.Love the old cab-overs lift engine cover and warm you'r dinner up on exhaust manifold happy days.Great to see old girl still earnin a crust keep on truckin.👌😎
Great video mate, I’m a driver from London, England and when we first went into lockdown we where all seen as heroes, we even had home made signs hanging from bridges saying things like, “thank you and god bless all truckers”
few places had food and toilets open,
the roads where lovely and empty (something my forefathers always wished for)
But even though where still in lockdown, the traffic is nearly back to normal and we are back to being treated like third class citizens again 😉

Nice to see an old school rig still earning its keep. New trucks are comfy and easy to drive but think we lost something over the years just not the same feeling you get driving a bad ass old truck.

I think I saw that white Pete conventional just south of Green Bay on I 41 west of the interstate at a dealership.
After hauling trucks for miles, putting the chains between the duals is the best and only way to tie the rear of the truck or trailer down. Using the frame is not as if you lose air in the bags, you're chains are loose, otherwise good job. Drove at '96 362 Pete for 15 yrs. Loved every minute.
I always wanted to drive a 362 cabover pete. I ve sat in a few but have yet to drive one they are roomy inside and I like how they sit so high in the air and that side box on the" 110" model..hell you could stick a suitcase in there sideways

That looks like a Baker Hughes truck. Oilfied company in Texas. Going back they were Schulmber J and B.J. oil field before. All of Texas and rest of country. They were \ are a well production company. Fracking and well service. Really like the cabover Pete in your shop!!!

Steve here is homemade hand sanitizer you can make. Extra virgin olive oil and equal amount of wintergreen Isopropyl rubbing alcohol. mix together and use. simple

Never really understood why people don’t appreciate our truckers, everything we have around us was brought by big rigs. Even though I don’t drive nationwide, when I’m in my personal I help em every chance I can, give em room! And definitely don’t pull out in front of one because they definitely don’t stop on a dime! Love the ole cab overs man! Can’t wait to find me one soon!!

Old school dog and chains. They been outlawed here in Australia. Our roadworthy certification mob over here made ratchet dogs compulsory. Good to see some people are still using the old ones. The CAT sounds TUFF you done a good job bloke.

Only thing is no wires on the ends of the bear traps. That is a big fine in the areas around me. Happy he is paying. Speed binders, ratchet binders, no problem.

Put a tank under the trailer 20 litres & some soap you can have a clean up any time if you can’t use amenities at truck stops or when picking up or dropping off

Man, you sure have an amazing looking (and sounding) rig! I'd like to make a suggestion. I'd love it if you could do an ASMR driving this truck (no talking, no music, just that 3406 singing). Make sure the exhaust is extremely loud, I thought I heard there was a muffler on it when watching a previous video, sounded quieter. Make sure to include engine start, shifting, cruising, and jaking. Please make it as long as possible. Please let me know ASAP.

Rewatching your videos of the truck I seen on dying breed that you hit a deer in pa. That sucks! I live in Central pa now but I'm from Erie and canfield radiator was our go to they can fix about anything.
She was towed to Peterbilt in Youngstown and radiator repair will be done in Hubbard Ohio. Not sure if ill get a good enough video out of this but I will try.
But next video will be a Dodge Ram V10...
i drove a Peterbilt as a concrete mixer,same cab as one on trailer.wasn't as good as Autocar it replaced,but still was great

I watch you because you do everything right, I am a trained rigger Rigger (Hate that word) and I have only seen a couple of places where I might do things differently BUT in those cases, it was a style, not outcome.

Well damn you got me wanting to get a cabover, I don’t mean just to have I wanna run that thing down the highway as I do this new junk. Want it to BE my truck, I’m old school and live old school. So future project made now, think it’ll be ready by the time my kids are grown so I can go out and go Orr make the big money so I can make that cabover one sweet ride.

I love watching old metal make its living and keep the wheels moving. Always wondered what happens to all the old trucks. I mean, look at Hunt, Swift, Allied and hundreds of others who have at least a thousand trucks out there and an easy fifty thousand in the scrap piles or parked up. I have seen some real tired rigs and then I have seen the ones that just had a out of frame and new trans, and rear gears just to be parked... trust me if I had my way nothing would be out there on the road as a fuel squeezer that barely can get out of its own way. I just don't understand the insurance scams and how they can force us to buy new when old is just as good when maintained. Yeah I have got into trucks that the steering wheel almost made a revolution before it found metal to move but that is not the end of the world. Frame rails are a dime a dozen or the better stuff bolts on. I got into a old off highway hays truck up in alaska where I have lived for most of my life, last half anyway and had the cab break in half.... think about that... over a hundred thousand for a pay load and the cab broke in half. Bad day for me. Those were drove hard and put to bed wet. Those trucks lived their whole life on the Prince of Wales island and have over five million miles on some and the tattle tail speedo was still working if you wound the key. Rain was their only bath and grease was on everything including the seat!! I had to make a living and that was it for me hauling logs and dirt

Great video Man. I'm from Brazil and I'm a trucker, a virtual simulator trucker, rsrsr. On my computer it' easier than in real life. I love the Americans Cabover because I always saw them in the 70's or 80's movies and wanted to know more about it and why in the USA, the drivers and companies prefers other trucks instead cabover. It's fantastic to see the old and classic trucks running yet. I'm interested in the model of your truck, the windshield is not divided? Is it original? Tell me about your truck, ok?
They were a literal pain in the ass , but they did have their good points- easier to maneuver in tight places, and no hood to obstruct your view in heavy traffic.
I kinda miss them.

I know all about inventing parking spaces..lol. i do it or I ll pick a nice spot away from the other trucks..and sooner or later someone comes and parks next to me...sometimes nobody takes up the empty space next to me other times im completely surrounded by trucks..i wake up and I know me and mabe 2 other trucks were there when I parked earlier..lol

Good Vid, Love the Truck, Are First lock down hear in the UK us, Truck Drivers whernt allowed access to the Tiolets / Facilatys at alot of big customers and some services. witch did change when it was found that they where bracking UK law.
