Lifelong Republican since 1985. After years of corruption I understand the anger towards politicians. However, each party’s voters refuse to elect representatives who will support term limits and campaign finance reform. It is broken.
I don't get the argument for term limits - if voters continue to elect a politician into office, then I think the politician should serve for as long as they want.

I saw Tucker Carlson on FOX News reveal that he asked Sidney Powell for evidence of fraud repeatedly but never received any. I read (from texts) that both Republican congressman Mike Lee & Chip Roy repeatedly asked Rudy Giuliani for evidence of fraud and never received any. Trump's Chief Of Staff's texts revealed a lot of what was going on behind the scenes. The texts back and forth with Hannity revealed that Trump's own internal polling showed that he was in danger of losing on election night. I saw the video of Steve Bannon before the election saying that even if there's no fraud Trump is going to claim there's fraud anyway. I also found it curious that Trump's own beloved daughter & trusted advisor Ivanka did not believe his election claims. I saw the FOX emails which showed that Sidney's source for fraud claims were from an admitted time traveler. I saw FOX News payout over $750 million rather than reveal the evidence of voter fraud that they could have easily gotten from their myriad of Republican sources. I saw Arizona Republican House Speaker Rusty Bowers testify that he asked Rudy Giuliani repeatedly for evidence of fraud, but never received any. I saw Trump's appointee for Director of the Cybersecurity, Chris Krebs, go on TV and say that this was the most secure election in US history. I saw Trump's Attorney General state that he looked into Trump's accusations of fraud & found zero evidence to support the claims. Mark Meadows recently revealed that he repeatedly asked Rudy for evidence of fraud but never received any. What really bothered me was that Ivanka didn't believe the lies. If Donald couldn't convince his own daughter that the election was stolen how was he able to convince millions of MAGA stooges?

In this video clip, Schmidt says there is no such thing as a real “deep state”. And PDB challenges that notion. For 10 minutes, he rants about some kids having money and some kids don’t and how many kids can turn 14 million into 2 billion and then about if the election was rigged and Hillary and…liberal policies vs conservative policies and building a wall or not building a wall and how Schmidt’s parents support trump…and he made absolutely 0 points about how there is a deep state. He chooses to interpret what Trump said then also assumes that he said it because he’s a “dictator.” He also says he “incited” an “insurrection.” By definition and based off what Trump said he never told anyone to start a riot and enter the capital. An insurrection is an armed group of people attempting to overthrow the government. No one was armed, they outnumbered the cops 1000 to 1, no politician was attacked or held hostage, and everyone left the place peacefully.

They obviously didn't which is when he stopped negotiating and sent the ships to Fort Sumter under explicit orders not to open fire if fired upon. Man deserved what Booth did to him and then some.

As a Canadian, I honesty do not understand American politics. For me, I have tried to examine Trump through various media sources, study and research. Some believe he is fantastic, while others hate him. From what I can see, Trump is great at manipulating his supporters. He highlights the issues with the system and promises to drain the swamp. From what I can see, he is part of the establishment that needs to be drained. Additionally, his comments seem very focused on anyone who dares challenge him. I noticed he often will speak to insinuate certain things, without directly making the comment. When looking at his policies, there was very little in substance. I did notice the massive tax cuts, which are based on the trickle down approach. Make America more appealing to big business and they will not outsource to cheaper markets. Unfortunately this has always been proven to be problematic. Profits go up, but worker rights and salaries are negatively affected. They may have jobs, but low pay. This is more a symptom of Capitalism. The richer get richer, while the working class get poorer.
