One of the reasons America dropped the baton is they didn't practice, the group does not practice enough. They are all focused on their individual events, rightly so, but this is one of their events too. It doesn't matter how fast you are. If a team cannot successfully pass the baton from one to another, they will make mistakes that can cause them to lose. Jamacia's baton passing was nearly flawless.

This event was such a trip at these games... 🇯🇲 should have stuck with these same 4 runners for the final, SS and KS were the problem that cost VC-B and S-AF a double Gold medal in the infamous final. As well, Torri Edwards was a horrible addition to the 🇺🇸 team and a poor sport overall.
