- This Singer 147-120 has 1/4" needle spacing and was built to sew up to 3800 SPM (times two). I cleaned this machine up and made a few adjustments and it is sewing like a champ.

This machine will outlive us all!
I have worked in factories and I'm pretty sure that this type of machine is used to sew the waistband with the elastic, first, the elastic is sew in a serger then the next step is in this awesome machine that makes the beautiful finish making the waistband ruffled. Today it has up to 6 or 7 needles. The first time I see this one, it looks so strong. :) Thank you for the video.
Really enjoy these uploads on the vintage specialty machines and admire your ability to properly restore and adjust them. I'll never have cause to use one, I can barely make simple sewing repairs on my 15-91, but fascinating nonetheless.
I've seen plenty older foot pedal Singer models that still function today, but never one like this, it's amazing!!!
In all my years of sewing I have never seen a sewing machine like it before. Good viewing

I've seen older Singer models, but never one like this!
These were used in car factories in the UK
Alex you always have the most interesting g sewing g machines !
Great video I love the old sewing machines.
Me too
Now that’s an impressive machine!!
Love all your content and your explanations of your machines!
I would really enjoy seeing your content dive a little deeper into the different types of machines that are available and to what their purposes are. Especially the specialty machines of old!
Always a treat-thank you!
😌😄
Using it without material will wear out the feed dogs...never seen a sewing machine without a flywheel on the main shaft. Nice machine though made in USA for sure . Thanks for posting.
I was thinking the same! wear and tear X1000!!
Looks like it sews beautifully. Probably outlived it’s original owner. Can’t say that about today’s machines.
It is well built.
Just amazing.
Fantastic, very good 👍👍👍
✋😌😀
Wow!!! I would love to try that one. I have a Yuki and I love to use it.
Damn I like that machine !
Thanks, it is a good one.
I really like the sound this machine makes. :)
You can hear the quality.
That Singer sewing machine can be used to make bespoke denim jeans. I gave up on Levis jeans.
Fantastic video, the machine purrs like a kitten. :)
Thanks

It has been a lot of fun to work with.
¡WOW! Que tesoro, felicidades
What amazing stuff! I am wondering how do you know about all of that? VERY IMPRESSIVE. Thank You!👍😎
So cool!
I have a similar machine that I'm trying to figure out how to tension properly. Would you please make a video on tensioning a double chainstitch properly like you have with the lockstitch? For some reason I'm getting one needle doing just fine and the other needle gets lots of skips and thread breakage.
I don't have this anymore but really both sides adjust the same way.
What is the price of the machine ?
Machine price please
Where is the heck did you find it?? Fascinating!
Hermosa maquina 🤗👍👍👀!!!!!!
hi Alexander... I'm starting restoring some old machines and found a singer 149-2, but I didn't found any good photo or information about it... found owner and instructions manual, but all of them tell that 149-2 works with 2 needles and 2 loopers, but this one have 3 .. can you give me some tips?? thanks
I think everything should apply that is in those manuals. the needles all work in unison as do the loopers so it is basically the same for all of them. Hope that makes sense.
@@AlexanderDyer absolutely...but it's really a shame that this 1922 model was little unknown.. didn't found any video or photo about this model
Hello, do you know how to do settings for Juki DDL-555? The thread gets cut all the time. Please advise. Thanks
Yeah but not in comments. I would need to see the machine. So many variables. Imagine if I told you that my car would not start, please advise.
How much would that machine cost

Se eu pudesse compraria todas as marcas de máquina da singer, principalmente as antigas
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Is it matching decorations of edge
Twin needle top stitch and flat fell seaming.
😯uau que máquina show yes,yes,yes👍👍👍👍
Very interesting machine, thank you for posting. However, I thought a chain stitch only needed one thread per line of stitching, why does this machine have four?
There are single thread chain stitches and there are 2 thread chain stitches.
ISO# 101 (Chainstitch): Stitch formed by a needle thread passing through the material and interlooping with itself on the underside of the seam with the assistance of a spreader. ISO# 401 (Chainstitch): Stitch formed by 1 needle thread passing through the material and interlooped with 1 looper thread that is set on the underside of the seam.ISO# 401 (Twin Needle Chainstitch): Stitch formed by 2 needle threads passing through the material and interlooped with 2 looper threads, forming 2 independent rows of stitch set on the underside of the seam.
@@AlexanderDyer Thank you very much for the informative explanation, it's great to learn something new everyday!
عالی.
Uau! Linda demais!
НИХУЯ НЕ ПОНЯЛ НО ООООООООООООЧЕНЬ ИНТЕРЕСНО
I can find very little resources to obtain machines like this. How are you achieving that. What kind of costs are involved may I ask. I'm in the uk Lancashire. Thanks for the vids From Samuel K.
I recommend looking in your local advertiser. Singer had factories around the world so you should find some. Plus great German machines, just look second hand and you will find.
Thanks
Все уже было придумано до нас! 😆😆😆😆😆

It's simple fabric not stitch.
No le pide nada a una máquina nueva.
