I've tentatively started a Bookstagram & feeling my way slowly. One of my biggest hurdles is consistently posting, I'm not too good at it yet, but we carry on. 🙂
Consistency is such a challenge! I also have an Bookstagram but I have not been very good at being consistent with it at all. With TH-cam I had to think about what I could realistically manage, which is one video a week, and then try to plan as far ahead as possible. So far it is working, but it’s still very early days. 😆 Like you say, we just have to carry on. 🙂
Hello! I am just starting my own BookTube journey as well so I really relate to a lot of what you talked about. One thing that helped me to finally get started is the thought that there are millions of people who watch TH-cam and even the tiniest percentage of those people likely share similar interests to me and would be interested in what I have to say. I'm focusing on just growing my community of like-minded people, not worried about how many viewers/subscribers I get in the long run. Good luck with your new adventure, I plan to follow along for the ride and look forward to getting to know your bookish interests.
Welcome to BookTube. Found your channel via M.J. Reading this life. I haven't read much scifi yet, but I'm definitely interested in reading more of that. I also read some fantasy, but it really depends on the story if I like them or not. I was surprised to find out that StoryGraph said that this year the genre I read most was horror.

I don’t read, or like, much romance but last year I tried Book Lovers by Emily Henry and had a fantastic time. I also recently read an Ali Hazlewood and enjoyed it, so now I am questioning whether I do in fact like romance after all 😆
I'm looking forward to following your videos. I think you do have a unique aspect and that is your lovely soft soothing voice, which is very pleasant to listen to. I have to ask though, and sorry if I missed you saying anything, but what is that noise at round about 19 minutes into the video. I've settled on a train going past, but am curious. Shell.
Thank you for your comment about my voice 😊 The noise was a double-decker bus. I live on a bus route with a stop not too far up the road and that is the noise they make when they are getting back up to speed after pulling away. It happens so regularly that I didn’t even notice it 😂

I was wondering what your tattoo was! I don't think I've ever read Alice but I'm planning on doing so. I loved the Disney film (it's the only Disney film I really liked. I think I just like weird stuff!). Which languages are you learning? I got one of those pillow things recently (although mines not a cute animal!) and it's great, very comfy.
I’m learning Korean and French. I am a bit more serious about Korean, whereas French is really just 30ish minutes of Duolingo a day. I also loved the Disney films of Alice, but I am also a huge Disney fan in general 😆
@@Bookishdowntime I was learning Portuguese on Duolingo (I had over a 1500 day streak) but it started becoming really repetitive and then Duo became really passive aggressive 🦉😂
