DIY Lip Care Tutorial: Nourishing Lip Mask Recipe

Thank you for tuning into the video on creating this lovely and hydrating lip mask. The ingredients used in this blend will be nourishing and hydrating to the skin. I created this lip mask with very few ingredients. It has a very nourishing and creamy hydrating feel that is non-sticky on the skin. This is one of the recipes in my up and coming revised DIY guide where I have update the book with so much information and new Formulations to simple yet elegant lip care products at a fraction of the cost. The creamy lip mask blends is formulated using plantbased ingredients. Below in the Formulation amount in the video but I scaled up the batch for those who want to make more than a single jar! Happy making!
Recipe: From video
85g of Castor oil
55g of Macadamia oil
16g of Apricot oil
9g Mango Butter
9g of Sunflower Wax
5g of Castor Flakes
Larger batch:
425g of Castor oil
275g of Macadamia oil
80g of Apricot oil
45g Mango Butter
45g of Sunflower Wax
25g of Castor Flakes
Note: Flavor oil and Vitamin E for me is added at a small amount, not enough for me to formulate in the batch. I also used a tiny bit of mica for color I was going for.

Hi !What can i substitute for castor flakes?

Hello, I havent tried another option or alternative yet. But castor flakes can be purchased on Amazon. Its just a great thickner/wax for skin care. I would def. Say candelillia wax or carnauba but playing around with the ratio is something that has to be done! :) I may try this recipe using those waxes in a future follow up video! Thank you for watching!
