0:26 At least Dave kept true to his word. I just did some investigating and realized that the very last “Left in Japan” video that features Dave, was episode 10 😂 Once you get to episode 11 in the series, it is just Joe all by his lonesome. I am so happy that Gamesack didn’t fizzle into oblivion after episode 10 though haha we love you Joe!
4 a.m. here in Brazil. I've just got home from work (I film weddings) and there's a brand new episode of Game Sack for me to relax! Thank you guys so much! You're awesome!
I love how dedicated you are to Left in Japan. Dave even was wearing a japanese shirt. Joe was also wearing a sega saturn shirt which was only good in japan! That is dedication.
Always appreciating your high production value. These episodes never feel rushed, and that's awesome. Sure I could use some more Game Sack videos, but I'd rather you guys take your time and deliver.
I love these! Also, the way you guys edit rules. I especially love the way you leave a good ten to fifteen seconds of uninterrupted gameplay at the end of each game you review. You let the characters actually complete their actions and it neatly bookends your review. Top f'n notch!
awww yeah Saturday night and my friends want me to go out and blow cash but instead I get to lay in bed watching some Game Sack!! $$$ Thanks again guys!
Another great episode, this is indeed my favorite series you guys do. Being a collector of Japanese games myself, it's always great to hear some recommendations. It would be cool if you could do a Left in Japan entirely on the PC Engine, a million great imports for that system.
I can go honestly say that I get excited when I see your channel update comes up!! I always enjoy the videos yall guys work so hard on!! thank you so much for the amazing content and don't ever stop!!!
thanks guys, love this series. I really respect what you guys do, especially that its not a review channel. You have a unique product and I'd love to see how the show continues to evolve...
Seven Blasts of Wind has so much personality visually, definitely a shame it was never released here. Also, I'd recommend Magical Vacation (GBA) for the next episode. It's a critically- acclaimed JRPG by Brownie Brown a few years before they worked on Mother 3. An English fan translation was just released.
That Saturn game looks fantastic! The animation is gorgeous and the game play looks a lot like Wonder Project J. I really hope the community will translate it soon, or it gets re-released, who knows... Thank you for showing that
The episodes of game sack are really well edited excellent narration and it looks so professional and what is really refreshing no cussing which means my grandchildren can watch also ,I'm sure this will be the template for future video game shows .
I love these videos. Learn so much about games I had no idea even existed, stuff I would never have even considered until watching these videos. Thanks GameSack!!!
I'm in the Springs, for some reason it makes me happy knowing you guys are a few hours away. Love the show, please don't fizzle. Can't wait for the second bluray
For the japanese text if you have a Android phone you can use google translate by pointing your phone at it and it translates in real time on your screen.
So glad you guys finally did that 2D Saturn Enix adventure game. I was sad it wasn't in the 2D games episode, but I couldn't remember its name. And still can't! :D
awesome ep. As an importer I always enjoy these have you guys ever looked into getting a Japanese Playstation Network account? its pretty simple all told and you can get cheap digital copies of rare imports. I would have never afforded some of the PS1 and PS2 classics otherwise.
Another great episode, a lot of these games are new to me so it really made the show engaging. For an idea on a future episode how about games that were only released in South America? Plenty of Master System titles were only made available in places like Brazil so it would be nice to see.
I love the Left in Japan series, but I have to say I'm fairly surprised we've already gotten to eight episodes without one mention of a Megami Tensei game. Kyuyaku Megami Tensei, Shin Megami Tensei II, if..., Devil Summoner, any of the Majin Tensei games, Devil Children Black/Red/White book, I could go on. There's so much of this franchise that was never localized. I'd also like to throw out a few handheld gems from Nintendo that were never localized: Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru for the Gameboy, and Tomato Adventure for the GBA. The same team behind the Mario and Luigi RPGs handled the latter, so it's worth looking into.
My all time favorite Japan-only games are Esper Dream for the famicom disk system and its sequel, Esper Dream 2 for famicom. They are very unique sci-fi/fantasy action RPGs. Some of the highlights of the games: No random encounters. You can see all moving and static enemies on screen, represented by footprints. This means battles can easily be avoided if need be. Also, it's an active battle system, no text based battles here! You fight with a combination of a gun and your ESP (telekinetic) powers. I hope to see them featured on a future episode of Left in Japan!
Game sack "fizzle in too oblivion" no way. That will never happen, its been about 3 and a half years since this video and you are even more popular as ever with probably twice as many followers as you did back then. Game sack is just too awesome.
It's Getsu Fuma Den, because that's what the kanji reads. getsu = "moon" fu = "wind" ma = "demon" den = "legend" (short for densetsu) And now, let's play the "create an english title from this mess" game :D
Episode idea: "Emotional Games" (e.g. games that have made you cry with sadness/joy, made [or make] you furious, left you feeling extreme happiness or relief you completed it, etc.). This idea could also be split into different episodes (e.g. Emotional Games: Anger; Emotional Games: Fear, etc). Thoughts fellas?
Thank you guys, when I though I've play every Snes game you show me several great games I never hear of. Also like when you mention that you pronounce Japanese like Spanish, I do the same ; ) great show!!!!
for Battle Zeque Den Joes wonders why theres reverb on some sounds and i realized the reverb is probably recorded into the sound effect sample but gets cut off by any sound that is played on the same channel (sound slot) at least in the case of that flip kick SE
Thanks for covering Nanatsu Kaze. Always been amazed by its graphics, but never bothered to buy it because of the language barrier. Do either of you have London Seirei Tanteidan or Mizzurna Falls?
Did you know that Mizzurna Falls is getting translated? It's very close to completion. I'm more excited about JRPG translations, like Shining Ark and Shining Blade (finally), and Absolute Zero posted recently that they are swithcing their focus back to the Tales of Destiny DC... What a great time to be a fan of such things.
you guys are awesome. your videos are very entertaining and Its great to see all the old school games. y'all should do another video about games with awesome music.
That Saturn game sure looks gorgeous and the animation is just amazing. I hope it gets translated soon; any link for a forum/discussion about that topic? Loved the ending skit!
the Smash Bros mechanic is kinda simple once you give it a few play throughs, but I understand it being confusing if you were to just randomly play it. the goal is to knock your opponent out of the level and the percentages show how likely they are to be knocked out going from 0%-200% I think. it becomes pretty intuitive after a few hours
I love the idea that he has no idea what is going on in the story but he uses a guide and Katakana table so he can continue not understanding anything. Much effort, so amazing.
7:55 月風魔伝 Getsu Fu'uma Den. Legend of the Crescent Fuma. Fuma (風魔) is the name of a Ninja clan in the Sengoku-Jidai of Japan. The leader of the clan changes their Surname to Fuma, which the most well known leader was named Kotaro Fuma (風魔小太郎).
This adventure game on saturn looks amazing IMO.Love the art style, and I'm big fan of adventure games also.Is there an english patch or something?Shame it was not released nowhere else.
Hmm... Reviewing and giving unique perspectives on video games, are the meat and potatoes of Game Sack. I'll always watch for this. I hope Joe and Dave do a handheld Castlevania episode as well, also that elusive Sega Genesis Video.
Fun fact, Getsu Fuma Den's main character and final boss are depicted in YGO. As "Getsu Fuhma" and "Ryu Kokki". There effects are reflective of the game they originate from.
Game Sack lol on the Madden games, but I've been able to get Wii games like Worms, manhunt2, etc on eBay at decent prices, same with DS, and 3DS games, but yeah overall it's getting tough these days, even with a 2nd and Charles that recently opened up in my area of Augusta GA.
Ever done one on Thrift Store finds? Granted, from my experience it's getting harder to find deals at the thrifts (due to speculators and thrifts looking up prices on Ebay) but still, you can find the occasional bargain.
Zenki is a pretty fun game, seems like it should be more well known than it is. Still enjoy going back to it from time to time, definitely one of my favorite SuFami games that didn't get a US release. Great episode guys.
Second you said graphics and saturn i knew it was nanatsu kaze. Happy to see you talk about it but a little sad too that that treasure is no longer hidden :}
since Joe didn't mention all the oddity characters from Dream Mix TV - world fighters it might be worth it for importers to know you can also play is MGS2 Solid snake (complete with Big shell stage), the main character from Bayblades, Yugo the wolf from Bloody Roar, the easter island statues from Gradius, and a character from that kinda sorta Transformers knock off series Micronauts. its crazy package to be sure XD Thanks for including it guys :3
0:26 At least Dave kept true to his word. I am so happy that Gamesack didn’t fizzle into oblivion after episode 10 though haha we love you Joe!
Game Sack will NEVER fizzle into oblivion!
Game Sack will never end! I'm already looking forward to 85-year old Joe and Dave talking about games you can play with severe arthritis.
. . . .while running around in their motorized scooters and wearing their colostomy bags!
And when Joe and Dave do finally kick the bucket, the show will continue with Dave Jr. and Zombie Joe. Obviously.
. . . with special guest Bob Cornhole!
It almost did the other day. It *almost* did...
4 a.m. here in Brazil. I've just got home from work (I film weddings) and there's a brand new episode of Game Sack for me to relax!
Thank you guys so much! You're awesome!
Nothing like a good Game Sack episode in a Sunday morning~
That's right YO
for really real !!
I love how dedicated you are to Left in Japan. Dave even was wearing a japanese shirt. Joe was also wearing a sega saturn shirt which was only good in japan! That is dedication.
With the Japanese Saturn logo no less!
"They're just as easy to defeat as human babies." - Love it.
I'm hereby starting a petition to have Joe and Dave permanently replaced by J-Dawg and D-Swizzle.
Man you guys are one of my favorite channels on TH-cam, wish you guys the best!
Always appreciating your high production value. These episodes never feel rushed, and that's awesome. Sure I could use some more Game Sack videos, but I'd rather you guys take your time and deliver.

awww yeah Saturday night and my friends want me to go out and blow cash but instead I get to lay in bed watching some Game Sack!! $$$ Thanks again guys!
Thank You!
Now you can use those sweet savings to become part of the elite 1% of gamers LOL
The ending skit:
So Edgy, So Hip, it hits ya right in the GameSack!
Another great episode, this is indeed my favorite series you guys do. Being a collector of Japanese games myself, it's always great to hear some recommendations.
It would be cool if you could do a Left in Japan entirely on the PC Engine, a million great imports for that system.
Man I never knew upper right corners were that badass. Yet another thing I learned from game sack!
I can go honestly say that I get excited when I see your channel update comes up!! I always enjoy the videos yall guys work so hard on!! thank you so much for the amazing content and don't ever stop!!!
Hell yes love you guys. Favorite channel on TH-cam, hands down. Love the left in Japan's
thanks guys, love this series. I really respect what you guys do, especially that its not a review channel. You have a unique product and I'd love to see how the show continues to evolve...
Fantastic episode as allways. Love this show
Interesting hidden gems and lovely scanlines too!
That saturn game was stunning, though I can completely understand why it never came out in the west.
game sack yo
Seven Blasts of Wind has so much personality visually, definitely a shame it was never released here.
Also, I'd recommend Magical Vacation (GBA) for the next episode. It's a critically- acclaimed JRPG by Brownie Brown a few years before they worked on Mother 3. An English fan translation was just released.

Thank You!
Yes, more Left in Japan! Your Patreon supporters are happy.
I'm in despair over the foreshadowing about the show's end!
I'm in the Springs, for some reason it makes me happy knowing you guys are a few hours away. Love the show, please don't fizzle. Can't wait for the second bluray
That Saturn game looks amazing! I'd love to play it in English.
For the japanese text if you have a Android phone you can use google translate by pointing your phone at it and it translates in real time on your screen.
I really love Game Sack community, you are the best guys! Game Sack Forever
So glad you guys finally did that 2D Saturn Enix adventure game. I was sad it wasn't in the 2D games episode, but I couldn't remember its name. And still can't! :D
This episode was really good fun. Good games and jokes. i think i have seen that random fan you sketched.
Didn't know I was that popular lmao
Man whoever keeps planting Evil Zone is my hero. I love that game and the soundtrack is incredible. I even imported the soundtrack.
I always love learning about new games, specifically for SNES. Thanks Game Sack!
awesome ep. As an importer I always enjoy these
have you guys ever looked into getting a Japanese Playstation Network account? its pretty simple all told and you can get cheap digital copies of rare imports. I would have never afforded some of the PS1 and PS2 classics otherwise.
Yes, that's how Dave played Robbit mon Dieu.
+Game Sack I must have missed him saying that in the video lol.
that service is a Godsent to me.
Anyway great ep, can't wait for the next one!
MixMasterLarB
He didn't say it in the video, he just told me when we were choosing our games.
+Game Sack ah, cool. I don't feel as bad for not knowing now.
Any recommendations for stuff to get from Japanese psn?
I love your videos fellas! Tons of great info. Lots of games never get to see in action. The Left in are the some of my favorite to say the least.
That wind game is just gorgeous, I've never seen a game with such a beautiful artstyle
Damn, that was a fantastic episode. Thank you for that!
Love these episodes!
@23:21 lool thx for bringing back that 90s 'tude!
spilled coffee on my office keyboard laughing, yo! Good stuff game sack!
the skit at the end had me in stitches. good job on the game selection
Another great video guys, always enjoy watching these each fortnight
How can Game Sack fizzle when it's smokin' hot!
Just got home from PAX, now it's time to fill up on some sweet Sack.
A great Left in Japan guys. Second show in a row, you say your end skit sucked, when they both were fucking hysterical. Bravo!
promise small, deliver big!
+DB N Indeed
Sweet video, yo. Always glad to see you guys in my feed.
There is nothing like to wake up and find that gamesack has a new episode for you to enjoy in your breakfast.
16:06 Who are these little square bois!?!?
Awesome episode guys. You guys seriously have the best channel. Keep up the great work
I felt like yesterday that a new episode came out. Love this series.
I'd like to see a shoot'em up specific episode. I love the genre and it deserves more attention.
Another great episode, a lot of these games are new to me so it really made the show engaging.
For an idea on a future episode how about games that were only released in South America? Plenty of Master System titles were only made available in places like Brazil so it would be nice to see.
i was drinking when UPPER RIGHT CORNER!!!!!!! happened and almost wasted good coffee because of it. lololololol thanks joe made my morning.
Thank you for captioning the titles. That helps a lot.
You could fill an entire episode or two on awesome Sega Saturn games left in Japan...
when you hit with the sword in 11:03 sound like when you kill something in gyruss , right?
I love the Left in Japan series, but I have to say I'm fairly surprised we've already gotten to eight episodes without one mention of a Megami Tensei game. "optimus prime is not a character i associate extreme anger with"
- don't watch Transformers: Age of Extinction, then
(or at all, ever)
'You do eventually get the ability to run but it really doesn't speed things up much.' - GAME OF THE CENTURY IGN 23/10~!
A new Game Sack episode. My day is complete.
It's Getsu Fuma Den, because that's what the kanji reads.
getsu = "moon"
fu = "wind"
ma = "demon"
den = "legend" (short for densetsu)
And now, let's play the "create an english title from this mess" game :D
Thanks for clearing that up!
how about... Legend of the wind demon from the moon? A bit long, oh well.
legend of the moonwind demon. sounds better?
*insert Americanized title here*
Episode idea: "Emotional Games" (e.g. games that have made you cry with sadness/joy, made [or make] you furious, left you feeling extreme happiness or relief you completed it, etc.). This idea could also be split into different episodes (e.g. Emotional Games: Anger; Emotional Games: Fear, etc). Thoughts fellas?
Hey Dave that was me who recommended Getsu Fu Maden at Retropalooza! Thanks for checking it out!
Lmao, that's me in the red hat and black Game Sack shirt when Dave says "sorry bud!"
Yeah I figured it was you so I put you in there when I edited the video since I saw you talking to Dave a lot.
+Game Sack How thoughtful and considerate, thanks!
Lol, I was just going to ask if the person who suggested the game was watching the video.
+Miami Disconnection suddenly this is becoming a curiosity among viewers lmao
Dat ending though. You guys crack me up! Great episode.
the greatest gaming channel ever
Thank you guys, when I though I've play every Snes game you show me several great games I never hear of.
Also like when you mention that you pronounce Japanese like Spanish, I do the same ; )
great show!!!!
I don't want GameSack to fizzle into oblivion :(
That ending skit was amazing xD

"Fortunately they're just as easy to defeat as human babies" lol that cracked me up bigtime.
Game Sack fizzle into oblivion? Say it ain't say Joe!
That phosphorous screen effect on zoom-ins is really cool.
Thanks for covering Nanatsu Kaze. Always been amazed by its graphics, but never bothered to buy it because of the language barrier. Do either of you have London Seirei Tanteidan or Mizzurna Falls?
No this is the first I've heard of them.
London Seirei Tanteidan looks interesting. First time I've heard of it as well. Thanks.
Seirei Tanteidan looks GORGEOUS !! thanks for the recommandation ! is there a fan-trad ? (say yes PLEAAAASE... :p)
Wow, Nanatsu Kaze really is beautiful. o.o
you guys are awesome. your videos are very entertaining and Its great to see all the old school games. y'all should do another video about games with awesome music.
That Saturn game sure looks gorgeous and the animation is just amazing. I hope it gets translated soon; any link for a forum/discussion about that topic? Loved the ending skit!
Thanks for bringing back the old intro music!
You shouldn't even joke about Game Sack fizzling into anything, I wouldn't know what to do without my bi weekly dose of the Sack! Haha
the Smash Bros mechanic is kinda simple once you give it a few play throughs, but I understand it being confusing if you were to just randomly play it.
the goal is to knock your opponent out of the level and the percentages show how likely they are to be knocked out going from 0%-200% I think.
it becomes pretty intuitive after a few hours
Here's to someday getting to watch Game Sack's future episode: Left in Japan XVIII.
One of the funniest Game Sacks ever!
PS: Don't ever fizzle into oblivion yo.
I love the idea that he has no idea what is going on in the story but he uses a guide and Katakana table so he can continue not understanding anything. Much effort, so amazing.
I think you're trying to insult me for some reason but I'll take it as a compliment!

Fuma (風魔) is the name of a Ninja clan in the Sengoku-Jidai of Japan. The leader of the clan changes their Surname to Fuma, which the most well known leader was named Kotaro Fuma (風魔小太郎).
Sunday mornings with gamesack feels awesome
This adventure game on saturn looks amazing IMO.Love the art style, and I'm big fan of adventure games also.Is there an english patch or something?Shame it was not released nowhere else.
The graphics and animation in thar Saturn game are incredible. That's one of the best looking games I've seen.
Hmm... Reviewing and giving unique perspectives on video games, are the meat and potatoes of Game Sack. I'll always watch for this. I hope Joe and Dave do a handheld Castlevania episode as well, also that elusive Sega Genesis Video.
God, I love Game Sack!
Still the best gaming show out there :)
Fun fact, Getsu Fuma Den's main character and final boss are depicted in YGO. As "Getsu Fuhma" and "Ryu Kokki". There effects are reflective of the game they originate from.
Awesome show as always, and you really should do another episode of Gaming on a budget.
That's getting harder these days! It'd be full of old Madden games!
The Great Wave off Kanagawa feat. an Octopus....great shirt Dave 👌
Zenki is a pretty fun game, seems like it should be more well known than it is. Still enjoy going back to it from time to time, definitely one of my favorite SuFami games that didn't get a US release. Great episode guys.
4:15 You want a good licensing screen? Project X Zone 2's title screen on 3DS, just look at the bottom screen.
Second you said graphics and saturn i knew it was nanatsu kaze. Happy to see you talk about it but a little sad too that that treasure is no longer hidden :}
IM a dirty internet troll and I Fuck with channels. But you guys are great. Id never harass you guys.
I wonder, is there ever going to be a "left in europe" spinoff?
"Cherry comes in and shows Zenki her panties, and all of a sudden he's big and has powers!" - Makes me laugh every time.
since Joe didn't mention all the oddity characters from Dream Mix TV - world fighters it might be worth it for importers to know you can also play is MGS2 Solid snake (complete with Big shell stage), the main character from Bayblades, Yugo the wolf from Bloody Roar, the easter island statues from Gradius, and a character from that kinda sorta Transformers knock off series Micronauts. its crazy package to be sure XD Thanks for including it guys :3
