We need a “Best Christian Podcast Intro Song” contest. It would be fun watching Your Calvinist Podcast and Radio Free Geneva fight it out for first place.

Watched the intro theme song earlier today and I’m still cracking up about it. Good stuff. Love the sense of humor.

Haha, thanks for the shout out. I heard the joke originally from Beau Tate who runs Everything Bibles. If you appreciate this comment go ahead and hit the like button, if you don't hit the dislike button twice!

Greetings from Brazil. I discovered the channel through the "fight" with Pastor Everhard. Here in Brazil, it is normal to have bible school on Sunday morning and worship at night.

33:00 We all want to be the hero of our story. But Scripture says, "No. You're the villian." Calvinism deals honestly with that truth. Other systems try to rehabilitate our heroism.

I’m really enjoying these Q & As. Good questions this week. I’m a deacon at our church and I love hearing how other churches administer the Deacon role. Maybe I’ll send in a question related to it for the next one. Keep up the good work!

I know I'm late to comment but the stairs referenced are called the Scala Sancta. They were brought to Rome by Saint Helena 700 years before the cruisades (as mentioned.) They are still a pilgrimage site but are now encased in wood for protection. Just FYI

In regards to the Isaiah 55 question, you need to have Joel Webbon on to talk about Primary Water theory.

Wonderful! One small request, though: is it possible to have time stamps for each topic?

This is a quote from the Luther movie on artifacts. I don't know if it's an actual quote or if it was just for the movie but it's good.
Martin Luther: I didn't have the funds, so they had to stay in the hot place. As for myself, the priests assured me that by gazing at sacred relics, I could cut down my time in purgatory. Luckily for me, Rome has enough nails from the holy cross to shoe every horse in Saxony.

If you have John MacArthur on the show make sure to ask him why he's a Nestorian heretic.

Wait, I don’t think the Isaiah passage says the water doesn’t return. It says that it doesn’t return WITHOUT watering the earth and producing seed. Just like Gods word doesn’t return to him without producing effects.
His word doesn’t return to him empty. Is it common that people think that this passage says that water doesn’t return? Does this mean they also think this passage means Gods word doesn’t return to Him at all?
    ???

That’s a good point and thank you for your comment. Having looked, there is a translational difference in the ESV and NIV, where the NIV seems to favor your understanding and I am inclined to agree that is likely the best way to see it.

    • @janettelewis6681

Additionally, rain and snow do not return to heaven as rain and snow, but as water vapor. The visible and the invisible.
