    hey,im having a problem,when i export the car with zmodeler3 the wheels are all in the center of the car

      @@13Stewartc oh hey,thanks for responding,but i already fixed it,what i did was opening a past version of my car in blender,then i imported all of the meshes except for wheels,and it worked,but thanks anyways,your tutorial are AMAZING,they helped me a lot when learning

      ​@@13Stewartcand i also have a problem,when im playing the game with the custom car sometimes the collision works,and sometimes it dont, it actually doesnt go trought the ground and the car still hits walls,but it does not collide with peds and other cars.

    Almost a perfect tutorial. Only thing you're missing is the part where some people might have no idea what's going on in blender with your keystrokes! Lol.

    Hey stewart, aren't all GTA vehicle mapped already? Wouldn't it be easier to use the UV Mapper tool in Zmodeler3 for that?

    Evertyhing works find and great, my issue is, the tuning parts are not mapped, what would be the process? Do the tuning parts need to be in the .dae file too?

      Yeah, you'd have to also map the aftermarket parts to the same template as the rest of the vehicle.

    25:30 I have problem with the preview in zmodeler in blender the preview was okay but in zmod it isnt do you have any ideas what can cause this issue? the template isnt mapped properly in zmodeler but in blender it was ok

      Sounds like you've mapped the wrong channel. (You need to map UV2 with the template and then UV1 with dirt) you also need to make sure you assign the correct paint shader to your paint material. (vehicle_paint4) this is the livery shader.
      You can assign it to existing paint materials via the icon in the top right of the material browser > GTA V > vehicle_paint > vehicle_paint4

    So can you use modkit liveries with other shaders or does it have to be paint shaders? I have my vehicle's templated and they use reflective liveries, so I was wondering if I could make a modkit livery part using the reflective material instead. I assume it would work the same, but I wasn't sure if gta has some sort of limitation on which material shader is used with the modkit parts.

      No, the liveries only work with the paint3 paint4 and iirc paint8 and paint9 shaders. They won't work with for example the vehicle_mesh shader.

    hello bro, is the "GTA 5 preset" when you export .dae from Blender for zmodeler3 important and where can I find it ?

      The GTA V preset is just configured to export selected + apply modifiers from the pov of the viewport. Set these settings and turn off the copy UV settings and then press the + icon and name the preset.

    I've gone through the steps and made the template and uv mapped the whole car, but when I apply the livery for the vehicle It ends up being a bit white around the edges do you know how to fix this issue?

      Yeah, assuming you're using photoshop, add a new layer below your livery layer, then fill it with the color black, then set the transparency of the layer to 1 then export as normal.

    how do I proceed if I want to do a livery that must be on the whole car but has primary color and secondary one? I know that you mention this in the beginning of the video but I couldn't understand exactly what you meant.

    NICE TUTORIAL. is there a way to do something similar and add a livery to fiveM vehicle that doesnt has liveries?

      The same method would apply. If the vehicle has livery support already then you'd just need to create the livery texture and modkit part.

    21:33 I have a small part above the front bumper which isnt part of the bonnet neither the front bumper... how am I supposed to find how to detach it?

      Look at the original model in OpenIV and identify which bone it was attached to. Then detach it and attach it to the correct bone. Iirc in ZModeler the detach tool is under modify > submesh.

      Blender if you know blenders controls. You can continue using ZModeler though if you prefer that

    Hello stewart, I have a problem with my vehicle exporting. I am doing a template for the buffalo. Everything is fine until 27:00 (exporting the vehicle). When I select the buffalo_hi I give Export LODs: Highest only and the problem is that it doesn't export it properly because the buffalo_hi.yft is 451kb instead 1093kb. I think that zmod doesn't recognize the L0 and it exports the L1 and then for the buffalo.yft it exports from L2 to L4 not from L1 to L4. Do you know if there's a fix for it? I have never encountered it if you can help me please answer. ♥

      Check the vehicle exporting tutorial, that'll help you export correctly.

    I just finished your other tutorial and have a livery I want to add onto an add on car mod. The NW_Jester mod. At what point in the video should I watch just for an add on car that already has liveries ? If a car already has liveries available how do I just replace it with my livery ? Instead of an add on

      An add-on vehicle has addon liveries, however if you just want to replace one of their liveries with your own you can just import one of their livery YFT's and replace the texture in the textures browser (it'll be in the group named the same as the livery root dummy object) then hit replace pick your texture hit ok then export the yft replace it in the rpf and you'll be good to go.

      I do hate to ask this but it looks so complicated I don’t know what to do. Im new to this.
      So I have the YTF file pulled so when I import it into Zmod, I have all of the worn, truck, and all of that but do I need the Jester.ytd as well? I import it and see nothing. So say then I import it. Where is the texture browser ? I don’t know what root dummy object is I’m sorry yo. Cause I understand the concept of having to pull and edit the ytf I just don’t get the steps I’m sorry.

    Sorry for asking here, I just hope you see it. I've downloaded a car that when you shoot the windows it sprays gas from the bullet hole and on the rear window it sprays fire. No glass damage at all. I don't know if the creator is trolling but is there any way to fix this in Zmodeler? Thank you!

      Yeah, change the window collision material id using the UI element in properties > GTA V Options section. You'll need to be in polygon mode with the effected windows selected.

    can you explain how to detach the bodyshell from the car because it detaches only 1 polygon if I try to do it

      Make sure the bottom right 'selected' is red and not blue, sometimes the selection modes don't update the status of selection which causes the problem you're describing.

      @@t6ruu then you're trying to detach the entire bone from itself which isn't possible, make sure to only select the paint. (Select by material)

    im getting a parshing error when trying to import the DAE file into blender. am i doing something wrong?

      It's most likely due to the materials in the .dae. try exporting just the paint, this way you can make your chances of the .dae importing much better. Whatever you do tho don't use other formats, they may not support everything the mesh requires to work properly in game.

      Yes its possible but the results may not be as good. There are a number of other tutorials out there that cover the process entirely with ZModeler 3
      You could join my Discord and hire me to do the livery mapping for you though. (Join and verify, then go to #hire-me and submit a ticket)

      @@13Stewartc I ended up mapping a bike through zmodeler and apparently it worked when using the method of sign_1, sign_2..
      However, when creating the tuning with Livery it does not work :(
      I've redid the video process about 12 times and it just doesn't change the texture when I try to use tuning

    Dude, another awesome tutorial that in definitely gonna try out, but I’m having trouble with addon mods like hoods not appearing on the car despite appearing in OpenIV just fine, any ideas why this might be happening?

      "regular" ytd liveries are outdated and terrible for performance. Not gonna teach ya the wrong way of doing things.
