Seen a buncha people seemingly lose a good half second or so in that final turn because they think there is support and it looks drier than it is. Kinda like that weird Lenzerheide wiggle at the very end of the track. People think they have it, until they go race speed and then they don't. Also that last step down onto asphalt thing looks terrifying without speed so not messing up that corner will be critical for a good time.
No idea why but these are concerningly entertaining (shame about Cathro's situation, would have loved to see him race)

yes, as Reece intimated to in his documentary, I can imagine that your coverage is for some helpful and for others downright annoying! The advent of cameras and TH-cam has made it difficult to keep lines secret and has changed the face of racing! I wonder if we could make a rule of not posting your video until riders had no chance of watching it. Still - awesome for us coaches to watch your analysis. Thanks Ben.

@@Grunge_Cycling well I'm sure most of the riders are openly sharing some stuff. Everyones so friendly. So many variables on race day that a line is only one part of it.
@@MrOvertSandStorm they're all so professional 2 riders could ride 2 totally different lines and still come out with the exact same speed..... it's all about personal preferences too right! Rider A might be better on their line, whilst rider B might be faster on a different one. The overt analysis just makes it more public - something that I'm sure most pros try to tune out as it might effect their decisions. Each rider has to simply pick a line the feels right for them.

I gotta wonder how long it's gonna take for organizers to start cracking down on fans bringing in excessive noise makers. Like, the cow bells are traditional and I've got no problem with that, but people are coming with air horns and sirens and fucking chainsaws and it's really making it hard to enjoy watching the runs when the competitors are just running a gauntlet of drunken wankers who only seem to be in attendance to try to draw attention to themselves.
What fans should do ? Knee down and pray silently?
@@jonathandestandau9466 Shout and cheer, ring cowbells, wave banners. There's lots of ways you can cheer on competitors that don't detract from other people's enjoyment.
I mean imagine being stuck next to one of those chainsaw twits having to put up with 110db of smelly 2-stroke exhaust for an hour or two, and coming away from the event stinking like gasoline with your ears ringing for 2 days. That's not fun.
