Reece Wilson if you're watching this😆, this shouldve been your track😆. You are made for this kind of track condition. Feel sorry for him. Heal up Reece and comeback stronger.
After watching this I'm pumped to see what happens on race day. I'm bummed you didn't qualify for it but there's always another race. The track looks absolutely relentless! It would be great see the podium shuffled a bit and some mudders get some top results. I heard his father was a mudder...
Ben ,looks like the rock shox suspension package is not doing that good in the sloppy mud I can’t wait to see what they come up with for the future looks like they had it in point in the beginning when the rain just started but there suspension is looking a bit rusty at the moment! Kinda like precision lacks power and strength!
Its crazy watching you guys in the UK ride in the mud all the time. Looks fun, but in a lot of places its illegal on our public trails in the US, because obviously, it destroys them. I get that this is a race track in this video, but can you guys ride public trails when muddy in the UK? Sick video 🤜🤛
Everything is open nearly all the time to ride. Sometimes storms or snow will close bike parks but it's rare. Unsponsored Trails out in the Hills are not policed and there are no weather rules in the UK
@@oliverbourne9599 thats awesome. Thanks for sharing. One of my favorite local trails here in Michigan is owned by the state parks, and it was built and maintained mostly by volunteers, so they’re really strict about not riding when its muddy. All the trails are closed for the spring thaw season (about two months) and you can be ticketed for riding when they’re muddy. I can’t say i blame them tho, this trail is the flowiest berm trail we have and it’s beautiful.
@@tyneuendorf6887 DTE Energy Trail. Its in the Waterloo Recreation Area just outside of Chelsea, MI. Highly recommend. Best (and pretty much only) flow trail in southern Michigan. There’s four loops, totaling about 22 miles of trail.
@@thisoldbelair awesome, thanks! I'm a 3hr+ drive from there right now but I'm moving soon and I'll be able to make an easy day trip out of it this fall. Have you been to the trails in berrien Springs? I'm thinking about going over there next week for the first time
Not trying to be a downer but when is a track deemed unrideable? I want to see all the riders enjoying themselves not just hammering through a mire of muck that isn't really fair to the riders to have to deal with conditions no matter what right? I dunno I'm just saying it'd suck of course for coordinators to lose out on an event but when do we say it's just too muddy for a race...never?
Pinkbike videographers - please stop shooting at such a high shutter angle/ shutter speed all the time. Makes 1x playback super jittery/unnatural. Please reserve it only for the slo-mo clips, if possible!
They better put you in the "not" live feed this time. They disk even put you're name in the list last round. You're literally the reason I watched redbullsh!t TV for the first time
Mud races are lame. I wish the UCI would stop waisting all their time in Europe. There is far superior terrain almost anywhere else. Can't understand why they can only muster one US race at the lamest venue in the entire country. This Sport needs to abandon the UCI.
Huge props to Ben for both racing then doing all this media coverage. Tons of work.
Whilst sick too. You can see it on his face, he's worked.
Yeah dude well done 👊🏻
That was one of the best track analysis's you've done Ben, brilliant!
All of the videos with Ben are bangers
Ben is the 🐐. I love any and all Ben Cathro videos. Stoked for the race coverage.
Would be good to have a side by side comparison of the track from the first day to after the race to see how its changed.
That gap is definately a bike slayer, a minute of silence for those who lost their loved ones to the gap:
2:43 is what Laurie Greenland did!!! Badly
Love how you walked us through the whole track with perfect clips, bravo!
Boris and Loris! Best matchup yet
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these course breakdown and line comparison videos with Ben. I could watch these analyses all day.
No giggling runaway outro? WTH? 😂
Great video, Ben. Can't wait for the race!
IMHO best videos on you tube about downhill races. First class

This horse love the slop!
It is a mud filled mind with a little water added!! Kinda like my old man mind!! Great job Ben!!
Cathro is the man! Give it the beans tomorrow!
Thanks for sharing this with us
This one is going to be so interesting 🏁🏆
Great video Ben !
Anyway, this is one of the best analyses plus commentary so far!
That track is engraved into my head after sliding down it all weekend 😂
Top notch content, thank you guys!
Awesome content as always!!!
thanks Ben !
The maturity in skipping the gap Ben 🤙🤘👍
8:33 where did the seat and the tube go)
shout out to the production crew for getting this up in 4K
it looks fantastic
I love the sound of carbon snapping in the morning..
Com chuva fica muito técnico pra todos né 😉👍🏾😅🦅🏔🌧🚵🏻♂️
Cathro is king!
Now imagine Boris and Loris talking suspension with each other
its amazing how all manufacturers chose poop brown for their frames this year :P
Loved the GTA reference 😎

At the start it's like cathro is telling war stories
Hey Ben, do riders prefer a sticky, beaten up, rutted to buggery track, or a predictable track?
I have a question why the riders does not wear neck brace?
Most people couldnt even ride this, let alone race it!
Mud on the track and mud in the pants!! Not good!! Lol the track is going to be unrideable tomorrow but they will still ride!! Bad ass!
Roots! bloody roots! 🤪
Yes Cathro
Boris for the Win.
I guess the frame broke at 8:36
Another banger. Absolute slop
