When farming shinies, the best thing to do is chang your game difficulty to “story”. This makes it a one button collect. No more need to play the collection, minigame pressing X or square repeatedly after using levioso or glacius.
If you want to make it faster for farming change the difficulty to story. It instantly captures the beats not needing to press X or □ no matter the beats will capture instantly. Them after change it back to your desired difficulty bam easy farming thank me later..
Also, a tip for those not wanting to fight every time, well you still have to fight, but just fight from the rock, and you can fight untouched as long as you don't fall off, or get on the ground for whatever reason. Graphorn will basically just stay put while you fight it.

I breed Caligo and Highwing and got a shiny offspring first offspring. Didn't even know there was a thing as shiny beast and I love my hippogryph baby.
It’s easier to run up on them if you use disillusionment (you can upgrade it so you can run while invisible in your stealth talent tree) and then cast glacius once your close and can hit that nabsac right away. Makes it almost too easy to catch them
It's even easier of you change the difficulty to story it doesn't require you to press in button captures instantly no matter the beats then change it back to your desired difficulty once done capturing
If the shiny runs away, just cast disillusionment and wait around. The flock will eventually return to the den after awhile, and may even walk right to you. Tried this during the introduction quest for Deek, and also when i spotted a Shiny Thestral.

Can somebody please explain how this happened. When casual shiny hunting I went to a mooncalf den at night trying to see if I could find a shiny. When I got there every mooncalf was a shiny. Really all of them. I double checked and everything. I naturally caught all of them, but only ended keeping a few. So can someone please explain what happened. Was this some sort of glitch, event or did I just get the most amazing RNG result possible.
To find my shiny graphorn all i did was take a floo flame nearest to the den, hit wait, fly over to check for shiny, then repeat. I found male and female shiny by doing this.
@@nicoled4980 Both genders about 7 hours. Got a female on my second shiny tho so I must have been really lucky. I also got the graphorn female with black horns while doing it. Look out for that too since it‘s a rarer version like the black cat. Until I got the male it must have taken me about 3 hours at least, can‘t remember.

Took me 10-11 hours to get all shinys in both genders now. You‘ll get it. If you feel unlucky just travel to another den to break up your mood, I found 2 shinys I was missing that way. :)
Well, selling for the same price doesn't surprise me at all. If they can charge 120 for a hippogriff and 120 for a niffler, I'm pretty sure that all beasts will be worth that much. Which is very disappointing. They should have a value based on rarity/difficulty.
Hey, today I was playing the game on nintendo switch and discovered something. Hopefully it still works on the Play station version also. In cragcrortshire there is a kneesle den close to cragfort ( in normal compass position the position is high northwest) if you have found the right place there should be some inferi, spiders and poachers battling...so in this kneeze den there is only 3 kneezles and they were shiny. All of them were unfortenetly females, I caught them, changed the time of day, saved and then loaded the save. To my surprise the 3 kneezles were again shiny( this time I had a male between them) so again I caught them and this time curious did the respawn steps and again the 3 cats were shiny. I respawned few times and they were always shiny. The second location was for nifflers again in the same region, however this time at the far island east of the hamlet where the merlin trial is. I went there three different times with two different characters and between the normal nifflers there were 4 shiny ones. The interesting thing is that the number in my nintendo switch version was always 4 shiny nifflers . Hopefully this will appear on the play station platform also. Hopefully that helps with the shiny hunting. Does anybody know the best place for thestral shiny hunt btw?

This isn't working. I'm trying to catch shiny Hippogriffs, one male and one female. I saved outside a den when a white male Hippogriff and a brown female one were there. Reloading my save, it's not even changing the color or gender, there's always a white male and brown female, every time. Tried for 30 minutes. If the genders and colors aren't changing, I know one wont be shiny at any point either.
So just to confirm: is the method to save, check for shiny, wait, save, and reload (repeating each step every time)? Or is it just one cycle and then reloading until you get the shiny?
I’m pretty sure the offspring don’t grow up. There’s no visible timer, and I bred my first beast offspring about a week ago and it looks exactly the same now as when I first got it. I actually like this though, the offspring are super cute!
Graphorn can be shiny. Its entire body is white. I have a shiny breeding pair of each beast plus shiny babies. Shiny male and female Graphorn took me literal hours to find.
i wonder what the highest defence and offence possible is. i’m level 36 and it seems for me it could cap around 500 or so is anyone level 40 with max gear?
what is the spawn time for the graphorn? Also are shinies just 1 colour patern or they can be different shiny colours for 1 species like diricawls which have different non shiny colours?

They’re actual shinys bc of the color and there is a spark logo next to their name and gender, But not with regular ones. But it kinda is a “waste of time” since they don’t do anything special…. They are just like the other beast just other colors and a little harder to get for some people

What I found to help was to just spawn near the closest floo powder, change from day to night and then it reloads the den

Do you have to continuously skip time save and load or do you just load the save?
You skip time once to force the game to request a new spawn, and then each time you reload the save it will spawn a different new group.

You can get a shiny graphorn. It‘s a white color and it’s visible in the fight itself too. :)

Switch to story mode and instantly capture is even easier.
You could also just catch each unicorn, then it will auto respawn and you’ll have extras to sell and make money
I found a shiny hippogriff as my second hippogriff(it would be my first but I counted highwing).
When hunting animal swap difficulty to story mode and you instant catch animals. Then swap difficulty back afterwards or the game will be boring 😜

levioso then arresto momentum is the best to catch beast IMO, let me know your thoughts

Just one cycle. Then every time you reload the save it will spawn a new group of beasts.
Btw setting your difficulty to history removes any button presses on catching beasts.
The only question i have to ask is, how long it takes for baby beasts to grow into adults, Its okay if u dont know the answer though

I’m currently lvl 36 with 389 D and 398 O and gear upgrades are getting SUPER hard to find
450 defense 450 offense. Max gear I've seen is 114 & I haven't seem anything higher since hitting level 40.

Idk spawn time but you can refresh all beast locations just by hitting the wait button when you leave the area.
Beasts will respawn right after you get a certain distance away. So fly for a bit/fast travel, then come right back.

They are probably different for every one and some are bound to be. I happened to encounter a shiny puff in a camp. Couldn‘t catch it tho.

Best way to farm the Graphorn is USE THE GRAPHORN AS MONT :)

For people like me who Don't get shinys. The rng is rigged so dont bother. 20+ hrs of trying yea no fuck this
