Another awesome video! Thank you. There is something I would like to add, something I often see my clients do. If the dog is in the yellow, stay there and do some training. Don't try to see "how close you can get". As you move closer the dog's stress will increase and, eventually, the dog will go over threshold and react.

Absolutely ! So many people push it too far too soon. Thanks so much for watching. Appreciated.🙂

HI. I am really enjoying your FB posts and YT videos, thanks! I have a 9 month old mixed breed dog-pound rescue. DNA shows Amstaff/Staffy/Rottweiler/Sharpei/Whippet/Toy foxie/4 types of Mastiff = known locally as a 'Northland special'. We have had him for 5 months, he has settled in well. We do R+ training. I would say he is over excited rather than fearful or aggressive. I see a lot of emphasis about looking for a relaxed mouth. This puppy never has a relaxed mouth, ever. If his mouth is open and panting it is when he is overtired and in need of a nap. Is this possibly a breed thing or is he not as chill as I think he is at times? Many thanks

It could be a breed issue or more tension in the jaw because of head shape...some dogs may not have an open mouth very often. It is a bit of a "generally speaking" occurrence.🙂

For anyone that would like to look at the graphic in more details, here is a slightly different graphic than in the video. This one is for over excited dogs. facebook.com/abcdogsnz/posts/pfbid0y61HkosBkv1y3aDzTM96NV2JRKdBwTBT1NEZ7p3mnfacyDxSptmHdDeLVH6Pf9Fel I hope you are all enjoying the videos. 🙂
