Love the progress videos and the beauty of the house. I will be visiting the area after my own remodeling is wrapped up, if the retirement money holds up! My Grandfather Sage was from northern N. Carolina, and he played clawhammer banjo and fiddle. He was the 1920-30's version of a rock star, according to my Grandmother. He traveled all over the hills of N. Carolina and Virginia, eventually settling in Rugby Virginia. They moved with the 6 kids to PA in the 40's because of the availability of good employment. My Mom remembers watching the chickens peck for food through the floorboards of the house! Good luck with everything and hopefully I'll get to meet you guys sometime.

TIP: To get 'sticker sticky' off of something......make a paste with baking soda and oil (olive oil, coconut oil, ect). 'Lather' paste on to the sticky......let sit for a few hours......and it should easily come off.

Brandon, when you were installing the solar panels it sounded like you were matching their voltage to the battery voltage (48v). You don't need to do this if you're using a solar charge controller. You can wire panels up to the max open voltage of the charge controller and then the controller output needs to be matched to the batteries. I may have misunderstood but wanted to make sure you knew you had the flexibility to have more than two in series!
The place is looking great and I like the water trough as a tube! I mentioned in your last video we might be heading in your direction and would be happy to locate a GoPro and other stuff! We are hoping to be near your area by the end of June if you are still interested!

I wish I could afford to provide monetary help but retired and on a fixed income. 🙁 However, I AM here to cheer you on every week on the great work y'all are doing and how absolutely adorable your home is shaping up to be!! Good on you for trying something new with the tub decor...sometimes things just don't work out as planned. I think solar energy is great but worry about where the panels and batteries go to rest after they die since they're not recyclable.

I can’t believe what happened when your video finished. A TH-cam advert played. It was a funny little house insurance commercial where a lady in a bathtub drops a bath bomb in the tub and it expands, overflows, and fills the whole house, then pink bath bomb vomits out all the windows and doors 😂 So… you think you got tub troubles?😊 How did TH-cam know to play that exact commercial at the end of your video? A.I. Is scary.
It is really coming along! I suspect that at some point you may want to add some more solar. Can you not use one of your phones as a hotspot to use the internet? My Ram pickup has a hotspot which I use on the road, and it or my phone when camping. They make quality vinyl or whatever letters for outdoor use, which should work in your tub... Or I have had decals made for my camper in the past, but don't remember the name of the website. WOW, I was going to recommend the X3 as I received mine a couple weeks ago and am still watching TH-cam videos on what all you can do with it. I got the 3 meter invisible stick too and can't wait to put some videos on my channel. I still have the Go Pro Hero 9, but there is so much more you can do with the Insta360. More and more places are making it hard on drone owners so the X3 does a decent job of pretending to be a drone. Be sure and let us all know when the Air B&B will be up. Being older and no longer boaters or even swimmers, we will wait until late October to try and reserve it.

sooo bad 🤣🤣🤣 thank goodness I was able to paint back over it. no special paint, it was a rustoleum type spray paint with built in primer, made to help keep metal from rusting. so far so good! we’ll see how it holds up over time.
You cannot add any more houseboats on moorings anywhere on the lake. But you could certainly do that just to trailer in and out like any other boat. You just couldn’t keep it on the water to stay or live on
@@janingham1823 well for one thing, it's our only option way out here in the boonies 😅 but that aside, it is super fast. Nothing ever lags or buffers. Also couldn't be easier to install. We have the residential version. We have some neighbors with the RV version who take it back and forth from their primary homes to their houseboat. We went with residential because it's cheaper each month, and we are here full time. :)

one thing I know about paint metal like that is to acid etching primer to put on it before the paint but it should work for awhile the way you did it

a layer of butyl tape under the solar panel brackets would have been prudent / like they use on vent fans on campers, vans, and motorhomes
