    I think the better way to say it is that God has given Satan significant permission.

    Why does God say in Job 2:3
    [3] Then the Lord said to Satan, “Have you considered my servant Job? There is no one on earth like him; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil. And he still maintains his integrity, though you incited me against him to ruin him without any reason.”
    (though you incited ME AGAINST HIM to ruin him)

    Okay, what is the difference between satan and his demons, like why they are commanded by him?
    Are they originally angels like him?
    Like why demons want to possess humans while angels don't?

    • @jackrosenbaum
      @jackrosenbaum 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, all demons are originally angels that have fallen just like Satan once did. Satan was the first of these fallen angels, and likely headed the first rebellion in Heaven, causing him to be the leader. He is called the "Father" of lies for a reason. He was the first one to deceive Adam.
      While there isn't direct scriptural passages for why angels don't possess people, I think we can safely guess that it's because demons do it for ill intent, angels don't wish us ill intent. Christians specifically are filled with the Holy Spirit, and CANT be possessed by anything else. Ultimately, we are designed to be free willed beings (under God's sovereignty of course), and demons go against the created order, while angels are abiding by God's rule and not doing that. Paul has said, however, to keep in mind that angels can take on physical form, and so to be hospitable to guests essentially.
      Hope that helps a little, if you want scriptural passages, I can provide that as well :)

      From what ive read, demons are the disembodied spirits of the nephilim, the human angelic hybrid giants which were killed during the flood. They were the children of the watchers and human women.The watchers are the angels ,who were supposed to watch over mankind, abandoned their posts and lusted after the women of the earth and wanted to marry them and have children.They didn't stop there, they decided to even mate with animals creating all sorts of abominations.The penalty was them being imprisoned under the Euphrates until the day of judgement in chains.They are the ones who taught ,warfare, witchcraft, women applying makeup to themselves etc.The book of Enoch goes into more depth about them. Demons want to possess , because they have all the urges that we have, but cannot fulfill them. Imagine being thirsty, and but not being able to quench your thirst. So that is why they seek bodies to possess. Now fallen angels joined Lucifer in the rebellion. When they fell, retained their rank and power and are above demons.They have no need to possess human bodies but they can if they wish. Think of them as satans generals and lieutenants and demons as lower ranking foot soldiers. Just as God has the 7 angels who stand before his throne, satan has his seven fallen generals/princes and below that lesser ranking angels, then at the bottom you would have demons.

    Just consider the power of different angels throughout the Bible. Such as in Genesis or Exodus or Job or Ezekiel or Daniel or Revelation. Yet Satan was once the greatest of these angels or at least one of the greatest, wasn't he? His power is indeed most terrible. Leviathan - if Leviathan is taken to be an elemental power like Satan (cf. Eric Ortlund's commentary on Job) - could fit into the Cthulhu mythos in terms of the dread one might feel. Yet to God Satan is merely a mad little dog on a leash. Fear God instead, for if you're on God's side, none can harm you, not even fallen angels: For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

    Job shows God is all powerful and this Satan has to obey. Satan was ordered to do what he pleases to Job but dont take his life! Satan did what God told him. The only enemy we have is ourselves!

    Please do a video on Wisdom been the only thing that was with God in the beginning as Proverbs states! The New testament said it was The Word who was with God since the beginning?! So which is it? Who is telling the truth?

      Hi I hope the following is helpful:
      It appears to me that ultimately this chapter (Proverbs 8) is extolling the wisdom of God in and from creation in a poetic way, accomplished in part by personifying wisdom as a woman. It isn't necessarily declaring wisdom to be God's first creation. After all, God is wisdom itself as he is himself goodness, truth, and love.
      As to "The Word" neither is this God's first creation, (as some have thought) but God himself.
      Jesus is the the (wise) Plan of God from eternity past:
      John 1:1 KJV - In the beginning was the Word, [The Plan] and the Word [The Plan] was with God, and the Word [The Plan] was God.
      (See John 1:14, John 3:16, 1st Timothy 3:16)
      Revelation 13:8 KJV - And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.
      1 Corinthians 2:7 KJV - But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:
      1 Corinthians 1:24 KJV - But unto them which are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
      Titus 1:2 KJV - In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;
      2 Timothy 1:9 KJV - Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
      Romans 16:25 KJV - Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began,
      1 Peter 1:18-21 KJV - Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God.
      Ephesians 1:11 KJV - In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:.

    Satan may have the power to bring down fire from heaven, but not without God's permission, and only if the outcome is the glorification of God.

      Two things. Omnipotence doesn't come in measures. You either are, or you're not. Satan is not. Second, all Satan's power is borrowed from God. I'm sorry to disappoint, he's not omnipotent.
