    For the fuel saving measures, Supercharger and turbo them all and half their liter displacement.

    • @the.bavarian
      @the.bavarian  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I don't know if halfing displacement all across the model range is what will be done. Seems a bit excessive to me, while we do not yet need to manage emissions in this game version. After next update it would be necessary for sure.

    @Der_Bayer you can increase the factory size without a facelift by clicking on the factories button at the bottom of the main screen. Then click on the engine factory you want to change, click on assign to current project (or something like that, tab on right), make sure to click on the current engine, then you can upgrade, remember it will still shut down for X months, and that will start IMMEDIATELY, so make sure you financially are okay with 6-8-10 months downtime before you do it.

    • @the.bavarian
      @the.bavarian  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Ok thanks! I will maybe try it next time, if there is an opportunity to upgrade!

    • @teme5529
      @teme5529 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Here is my experience so far:
      It is usually always more beneficial to upgrade a factory with a facelift. So really consider on why you want it without a facelift!
      Example: I have many preorders left.
      Solution: just make a facelift with maximum learning and good optimisation and upgrade the factory, you will catch up meanwhile since it takes a long time, and have a really polished and efficient facelift arriving as a result.
      In my opinion, waiting for preorders to be delivered and then being like "I should start a facelift" provides rushed products. Reason for this is reacting instead of predicting.
      So here I wanted to share my experiences and I am also aware that there are various other reasons on why you wouldn't want a facelift with a factory upgrade!

    Instant click when I see this on my feed. You keep slaying it!
    Do you have any suggestions on how to have a good start in the lesser nations like Archana(sp?), because I keep getting cars that never turn a profit because they are either too expensive to design/make, or cheaply built that nobody wants them. I really struggle with the economic side of things, even on medium.

    • @the.bavarian
      @the.bavarian  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Thanks! I am currently considering recording an Archana start. Budgets are an issue, so any trick to reduce car cost and find a good niche is probably necessary. A first try with delivery focus at least got me rolling even on 100x, but I don't know yet how sustainable the approach is...

    How did the Bramble finish in the Gasmean racing series?

    • @the.bavarian
      @the.bavarian  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Not so well: Too heavy and sluggish, no traction (no limited slip diff), no reliability. We will need to focus our efforts in the future with another platform or even a dedicated race car. Btw: The Cleres would at least qualify for Group 3 or 4 requirements - we didn't hand in the homologation papers though, as it is even less suited for racing :D The Godwit in theory should be possible, too, but now with the oil crisis it is probably a bad idea.

      @@the.bavarian The Godwit looked like a beast, and probably would have been the most dominant car available had it hit the market sooner. The timing was all wrong for it with the oil crisis hitting. I wonder if it will get the "Mustang II" treatment.

    This channel is awesome and I love your content. I always imagined myself being an auto designer and I am wondering if this game is for me. I know the game is more difficult than you make it look because you've done it for so long. In your honest opinion, would you recommend the game? What do you think are the strong suits and the negatives?
    The second generation Bramble looks almost exactly like a real world car I've seen before, I am just drawing a blank on the name. But, it looks like a car from the 80's coming to market in the 70's! Maybe because it is taking design cues from a few different cars, looking like a mix of Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and I think Nissan Maxima. At first, it started looking like a Toyota Cressida.

    • @the.bavarian
      @the.bavarian  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      In my opinion, if you just want to build and design cars, the sandbox is the best and most intuitive editor available. It is easy and quick to build something decent, but of course it takes time to build something very nice. So the car designer / sandbox game is a no-brainer and you can spend countless hours there if you like designing cars. And there is a very nice community always willing to help and provide feedback to your creations.
      The worst part of the game is a missing tutorial for the campaign mode (and in general also for building cars and understanding the various graphs). It is hard to get into, and once things go wrong, it is hard for beginners to figure out where the problem is. The UI will hopefully be made a bit clearer and a proper tutorial will have to be introduced when the game is more fleshed out. But it is totally playable and enjoyable once you know what you are doing!
      I normally rate games depending on the time I can spend with them. In Automation, I have a playtime of 2-3000 hours, so the 30 bucks or so were totally worth it! You definitely get more entertainment/hour than from a night at the bar or in the movie theatre :)

    Will you end up in a loop where every facelift or new car demands lots of time to be made?
    I am just wondering if making a facelift with the slider set to learning instead of working will break the loop where every single facelift takes A LOT of time.
    For example, I have arranged some of my cars to come into market without a rush, so that you get the familiarity bonus to various tech. So basically learning/work slider at maximum learning.
    If I am not mistaken, it really starts to bite you back at 1980 and later on, if you haven't given the workers a chance to learn. Then you end up sacrificing a lot from optimization and reliability.
    So I am suggesting a facelift for a suitable car, with minimal changes, but it optimizes production and gives a window of opportunity for the workers to familiarize themselves with the components! And do this a couple of times and I think it's impossible not to see its bonus.
    Might Motors will feel its impact while making the upcoming models, where you need lots of time for new tech, so you need all the familiarity from the other parts you can get!

    • @the.bavarian
      @the.bavarian  ปีที่แล้ว

      I completely agree that optimally you would always have a facelift in the making to maximize familiarity effects. I am just too lazy :) You can partially offset the engineering time requirements by R&D and using only part of the Tech Pool you have. I will probably have to do that.
