I'm doing well! I hope the video was helpful. I'm cancer free, have a full head of hair, and doing great. Just had a check up in January and I'm healthy. June 4th, 2013 will be the 3 year mark for finishing chemo and I plan to wear a headscarf in honor of all the women fighting cancer and doing it beautifully without a strand of hair on their head:)

Hi Esther! I just wanted to thank you about this video. My mom had a breast cancer operation 2 months ago. Started chemo 20 days ago and she just lost her hair last night. She is in Bulgaria and I am in Scotland, so, at this stage I wanted to give her ideas about good looks and your video is just THE VIDEO. Very happy for you being all well now. Be positive and be happy!

My sister just found out that she will lose her hair from her cancer treatment between now and Christmas. I was looking online for scarves for Christmas, then I saw this video. You are inspiring and I love your positive attitude. I think she will really appreciate this video. Really awesome ideas. Thank you!

My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer 3 months ago and started chemo this week. She insisted on shaving her head so that her hair would be gone on her own terms, not chemo's, but she's had a rough time adjusting. She bought a head scarf because she's embarrassed to show her bald head but couldn't figure out how to wear the darn thing!
My sister had talked to her about empowerment from baldness but right now my mom doesn't want to hear that from us. It was incredible to watch my mom's perspective and attitude change while she was watching your video because of how you talked about your own feelings on the exact same subject. You were the "real" voice she needed to hear, so thank you for sharing this video. Your upbeat, positive attitude along with your thoughts on your situation meant more to my mother, and also to me, than words can explain.
    Wishing you well. :)

    Hi all,
I just had a check up in January and I'm cancer free and feeling great. I'm sorry I'm not better at replying to each comment. I read every comment and I'm often touched by your stories and so happy my video is of some use! I so appreciate hearing each of your stories and they are an inspiration to me, truly. I'm sending good thoughts and energy out into the world for you brave, beautiful, and bald women:)

Thank you for this comment - I have just been scrolling through the comments looking for one from you saying you're ok. My mother and I and our family want to thank you - my mum has a rare (but very treatable) type of lymphoma and starts chemo soon, and has been told she will lose her hair (although it will grow back when her chemo is done in about 6 months). This video was fabulous and we really appreciated your confidence, attitude and sense of humour! As well as the awesome ideas for how to do scarves (we are establishing quite a collection of scarves and so are going to have to have fun trying out different styles!). Thanks for being awesome! x

Esther, thank you so much. I love the T-shirt with the small accent scarf. I had cancer 2 x's and now Lupus. So my head has big bald spots, and is thinning a lot. With the T-shirt being made from cotton, awesome idea, and a awesome way to protect and cover my head rashes from the sun. Again, thank you for helping us all out. I wish you all the best. ~Elaine ♥

First off, how adorable are you! Love your energy! Thank you! I, too , have stage 3 breast cancer. I prefer scarves and hats. Not a wig person. So to watch your suggestions was most helpful! I've been playing around to and I'm loving all the looks. I feel very comfortable going out in my scarves and hats with my big girl earrings. Some say I've taken 15 years off in my looks. We will get on the other of this. You are a rock start! Beautiful Lady!

Esther. My wife and I recently found out that she has breast cancer. She is having a lumpectomy as well as radiation, all beginning July 10th. I am so proud of how well she has been through this... family, friends, work... have all be supportive for her. She says she's ready to 'kick cancer's ass'. At the same time, she knows she has a battle. I searched for vids on supporting someone... your video is so inspiring. I can't wait for Tina to watch it. You'll inspire her greatly I'm sure. ty

This video changed my life. Well it changed the way I feel about my life. As you can see in my profile picture, my hair was mi biggest "accessory". It was always different, colors, extensions, cuts, etc. Losing my hair to cancer was heart breaking. Some people can really pull off that "I lost my hair to cancer and I can rock the bald look like nobodys business" look, but I am not one of them. Thank you for this amazing video. And for helping me find my new accessory. YOU ROCK!

Had my 2nd chemo today. The doc & nurse want me to be prepared as they say my hair will be coming out most likely in the next week. As a cancer patient, I'm ready to beat this. As a woman, I am scared. I haven't decided to go with wigs or scarfs and hats. So tonight I did a youtube search on how to wear scarfs & yours is the first one I have watched. I can't begin to tell you how much better I felt. You have a great attitude! And I realize now that my hair doesn't define who I am :) Thank you!

We were going to just do the normal bandana style, not really knowing that there were other options. These styles are SO cute & really do look fashionable, not just like she's hiding her "baldness". You are funny, and I felt much better after watching your video. Thank you and I'm lucky to have stumbled on this video. You made me feel better today, since I've been in self - pity today due to lack of hair. July 14, 2011, i was diagnosed with breast cancer, last friday i shaved my head. Yesterday I went it to work with a scarf and felt really self conscious. i'm going to post this to my favorites so i can watch this again when i need some inspiration. Hope you are living life to it's fullest.

So inspiring! My hair started falling out on the weekend and until listening to you, I was in a dilemma as whether to shave it off or just wait! But thank you - feel I'm ready to cut it and dump it rather than leave it all over the house :)

I was just diagnosed with Lymphoma a few days ago and I'm mostly scared of losing my hair. Your attitude is amazing and I will be thinking of you and your spirit in the months to come. Thanks for putting this out there.

Yes! For a not so great with her hands cancer patient, I love watching how you do that thing you do. I'm a little weirded out by all this baldness so it's fun to hear and see your humor and openess. Thanks for teaching me new things!

Thank you so much for this video..my friends hair from cheemo is really falling out today so watching this helped us play with her box of scarves of different lengths. I also have alopecia so finding interesting ways to look fashionable was really helpful! May you stay cancer free and all the blessings and thank you again this was so helpful.

You are fantastic. My mom was just diagnosed with cancer and has enlisted me, her daughter, for some help with some head covering options. I have been doing a little research and stumbled on your video. Thank you so much for your tips and your spirit. This is the best and most directly helpful video I have seen to date.

I love love love this video and your attitude towards your new look. I'm a few days away from my peachfuzz. I'm still in college...and people are going to be pretty shocked when I come in to class next week! I hope I have the same confidence and beauty that you have. Thank you for being an inspiration to all of us cancer patients!

This was the best. I'd been searching for good tips on scarves. Almost every site was selling scarves or using a stlye I didn't have. Thanks so much!

Awesome job! You’re a natural! Honestly kept me smiling the entire time and got a great idea for my old T-shirts instead of turning them into rags! Thank you so much. I hope you’re feeling well , I will keep you in my prayers xoxo.

Thank you so much, I was having a crisis of confidence with my wig, so I followed your guide and had so many compliments on my headscarf - even from the hospital staff 😊

Thank you for making the video. I have Hodgkin's Lymphoma & my hair started falling out on Saturday. It's been hard, but you make this look really cute! I was worried that I wouldn't be able to figure out how to tie a scarf & now feel better about it. Thank you for doing this.
