Cynthia, I am impressed at how detailed your tutorials are. You go above and beyond describing the possible ways to do the chord transitions, and never opt for the bare minimum needed. There is a lot of effort in these videos, and it shows. Thank you.

I JUST bought a ukulele today. After watching your Landslide video through once I could play the song. Now I'm here finger picking an intro like I've been playing my whole life. You're an excellent tutor! Thank you.

You are amazing ! You are the reason I started to play. I didn't have much resources and even though I wanted to play, I never thought I would be able too, but then I found your tutorials and they are so easy to understand and you are so wonderful that I actually believed I could learn with you, and I did ! Thank you so much !

Excellent! I love how you have the chord diagrams on the screen the whole time in your initial run through..super helpful! I've been playing uke for about 6 months and am in love! I've played guitar since I was 11 (over two and a half decades!) and the transition to the ukulele has been easier than I thought! I appreciate your teaching style for sure! THANK YOU!!!!

Till now I always experienced the ukulele as a kind of happy instrument which you can play happy and cheering songs with it.
Here I experienced that an ukulele also can be dark and 'depressive' . I really got goose bumps by linstening to that. You got my like!!

PLEASE... translate my following german comment in your english language, because my english is not good enough to say what i mean. :
Mach so weiter bitte. Und vielen vielen Dank dafür! Liebe Grüsse. Jimmy

    • @Sam-rn6yr
      @Sam-rn6yr 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Translated into english:
"Although I'm a bloody beginner on the ukulele, it took me no longer than 15 minutes to play this song - which is one of my favorite songs - flawlessly and fluently. My friends, who, like me, "mastered" several instruments, were not astonished.
What I mean by that: Most uploading such tutorials on TH-cam do this mainly for their own ego. However, you take enough time to play and explain it in such a way that every beginner can play along immediately. You stay on the subject without overwhelming your fans with the performance of all your skills. I'm looking forward to seeing what else you can teach me.
Keep it up, please. And many thanks for that! Kind regards. Jimmy"

Thank you Cynthia! But for those students who have a problem stretching the fingers of your left hand--don't give up before you get started, use this shortcut on the Esus chord so you can keep the signature beginning sound.
1: With left hand press only A string at 2nd fret
2: Use thumb and index fingers to pick string E then A once each in that order 3-4
3: Then keep pressing the A string and add pressing the E string at 2nd fret also and pick 3-4 again with both strings depressed
4: Repeat this picking pattern while pressing the A string continuously and hammer on and off the E string at 2nd fret to go with when you pick the E string the second 3-4 so you keep going 3-4 off 3-4 on 3-4 off 3-4 on.
It works and you can then move on to tackle the rest of the song. It's always happy learning with you Cynthia.
