The Giant's Causeway

On the second half of Day 8 of our Ireland Road Trip, our Irish travel vlog takes you east across the Causeway Coastal Route toward our eventual evening destination of Bushmills, County Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Along the way we pass Dunluce Castle, a ruined castle from the 16th and 17th centuries, known to Game of Thrones fans as House Greyjoy.
We arrive at the Giant's Causeway, one of the world's finest and most famous examples of basalt columns, formed by cooling lava 40-60 million years ago! Giant's Causeway is the only designated world heritage site in Northern Ireland.
After Karen covers the geology, Chris shares about the Irish folklore and legend surrounding its creation (we may even see where Finn McCool hibernates in winter!).
We'll hear the legend of the the Giant's Boot and see how Chris's size 14's US- 47's Europe- stack up against it. Join us as we hike the Yellow Trail to take in stunning scenery and rock formations including the Chimneys and the Pipe Organ. You can marvel at natures "construction" of the Giant's Gate.
