Kansas as bad as it kills me. Pope will never get any top 10 guys. Not saying he can't win I hope we do. And I was sick of cal. But I think tj otzelberger or Chris beard would have been a better hire

The Kentucky brand is solidified so much so that it doesn't matter, any kid that is talented automatically boosts their draft stock higher than any other program off name alone. Kentucky has elite resources with elite nutrition and training programs. He goes to UK he not only will get drafted, he has a higher chance at having a long NBA career. Doesn't matter if it's Pope or Calipari Coaching there, its the brand and program there. UK been putting kids in the league even before Cal got there, and Calipari didn't actually start getting elite classes until he became the head coach there back in 2009. He had some good classes here and there, but he definitely wasn't landing talent like he did at Kentucky at Memphis and umass. The UK Brand is solidified as one of the top brands in college basketball, and overall history and tradition is impeccable compared to even the other blue bloods.

Come on BBN let's let this kid know how bad we want him here in Lexington show this kid what BBN is about, let his family know how our fan base is here at BBN. Coach Pope good job keep up the good work and show this kid we win National championship here at Kentucky. I seen the other day a podcast that coach Pope does have a National title well neither did Coach Cal and also Tubby Smith and if I'm not mistaken Rick P didn't have a National title until they all became coaches at Kentucky and next in line is Coach Mark Pope he will win a National title in 3 years bet my life on it Coach Pope knows what Kentucky across your chest means. Coach Pope will win back to back titles at Kentucky just hide and watch. Love Coach Pope. Did love Coach Cal but the way he walked away from UK and just gave away everything he had to do with UK that was rong.

Really like Pope and hope he does well.
It just left a little sour taste in some BYU fans mouths.
Before BYU got some 4 and 5 star guys after Chandler left for Kentucky with Pope, coug fans were not happy with Pope
And not just that he left, but that he acts like he cared so much about BYU and always was trying to do the right thing. So it didn’t seem real classy like we would have expected.
He def talks up everything- kind of like a used car salesman. So some players get turned off by that. And he still hasn’t won a NCAA tournament game (to be fair the 2020 COVID BYU team was stacked and I believe would have won one game in the tournament. But overall he’s good at Xs and Os, especially offense. With good shooters his offense is a thing of beauty. And he’ll get the most out of his guys for sure.
Gonna be interesting to see how he gets all the new guys to gel this year.
Most BYU fans are fine now cause Kevin Young is doing amazing already.
