Thank you so much for this; .177 seems to be the orphaned caliber. I just got an Impact to dedicate as a .177 slug shooter and shot it today. So far, the 13.43 KnockOuts appear to be the slug of choice at 50 yards. I will be pushing it out to 100 yards hoping for similar results. Great videos, keep them coming!

I was hoping to convert my benjamin marauder in to a heavy slug shooter. But I don't think I can get the barrel i need. I was hoping to be able to shoot 22gr - 24gr .177 slugs @ 1000+ maybe in the future I'll build a .177 slug shooter.

I would play with that valve knob just a little bit while you’re shooting 100 yard groups. I typically get the best accuracy turning the valve knob in until the velocity just ever so slightly drops. Nice job though. Cheers from the USA!

Great shooting. I think the 75 yrd group was fantastic. The 100 yard could be a few possibilities. It could be the speed. You could try turning the gun down slightly to see if the groups at 100 yards improve. Or even speeding them up. But i LOVE the 75 yrd groups

Great shooting! I am just in the process of ordered a 700mm .22 superior super light liner, I had a custom brass barrel port made to adapt to my Kral jumbo, after seeing the accuracy with the slugs in .177, I am wondering I shouldn't have went the way of .177 cal . I rarely get a chance to get out past 125 yards, with the exception of this past summer, smacking soda cans at 255 yards, what a treat! Love your videos don't change a thing you are fast becoming the video the I check for each day to see what else you can share!
Hi Jim Thanks for your kind words 🙂 Yeah pro's and cons with the larger calibers, wich Im sure that you all ready know... I never go hunting and my shooting ranges are all well protected against wind, so 177 does the job for me. But taking those exact things out of the equation, a 22 would be much better. 177 is not good for hunting unless you are so skilled that you only take headshots 😀 And secondly wind. A 22 is so much more stabile in the wind. Your comment made me think about the big competitions like RMAC where you would never see a 177 🙂 I could go on all day about the differences, but there are sometimes that I wish I had a 22, but like 95% of the time I love the 177 😀

Hello Peter, i am shooting a .177 as well because is the only caliber that is legal in Cyprus. I would like to know if you are using the 500mm or the 600mm barrel and if you have added the carbon fiber sleeve and or the harmonic barrel tuner. Awesome video btw!
Hi 🙂 Im using the 500 mm liner with a carbon sleeve. Im thinking about getting the M3 with the 600 mm barrel, but Im not quite sure yet since the MK2 is performing so well 🤔 Actually I have a barrel tuner attached - maybe you can see it in the video. It is my own design and made by a good friend of mine. I have tested it just a little bit, so I realy can tell you the specific results. Nice video. Good shooting. I can't reasonably give you any tips because I'm absolutely a rookie airgunner but I've been hand loading 7mm rem mag rounds for many years . I've found that the most accurate loads are very much dependant on how the projectile hits the lands (rifling) the closer the better for..maybe the way you load the slugs gets to be more of an issue at longer ranges. Try pushing the pellets in one at a time by hand as close to the rifling as possible and see if that doesn't help eleminate the fliers. I'm Danish American by the way and when my wife saw you she thought it was me lol ... I guess I'm sort of your American doppelganger ha! Good luck and if you decide to try let me know if that helps. It's absolutely critical for firearm accuracy. I'm curious if it makes any changes in an air rifle.

And how shooting both types of guns increases learning. As for single loading I think that you are absolutely right. Sure! My reg is at 120. Hammer at 3,5 (see my video on how to add extra settings to your power wheel) Measurement of hammer spring when on max is 16,8 mm and valve at 2,5. It has a Huma dual port transferport and a slug pin probe. I hope that this will help you 🙂 Thanks for watching 🙂

I pushed my gub up to 160 bar with the pellet probe and standard airflow port but ir sounded like a dog with a cold and not much in the form of speed.
@@VikingAirgunner Just ordered a HUMA 177 pinprobe and dual port... should have by 20th of the month then the fun can start again. We don't have the JDB 177 slugs in South Africa yet, the test batch H&N doesn't like the slow twist rate of the FX barrel...

My goal is to get my gun to shoot sub moa at 100m, probably have to jack up the regulator pressure it's at 135bar right now, also trying to come up with a consistent method to increase the skirt size slightly on the slugs so they fit just a bit tighter in the barrel initially.

It is defenately possible to get sub MOA. I can do it but not consistantly.
With the 13 gr KO my 127 bar was enough.
