- In this tutorial, we show how to repair a torn urethane rubber mold using Ure-Bond® II urethane adhesive.
Ure-Bond® II is a premium performance urethane adhesive compound that offers a strong flexible bond between many different surfaces. URE‑BOND® II is ideal for adhering polyurethane rubber and other polymer products to many types of substrates (such as plaster, wood, cement, stone) and non-porous materials (such as glass, hard plastics and a variety of metals).

Will this work on a small piece of rubber like a rubber band?
Rubber bands are not generally made of urethane. We would recommend testing a single-component adhesive for that application.
I'm late to the party here , but will this only work for urethane molds?.......what about silicone?.....tin cure and platinum cure?
For Silicone molds you're going to want to use a silicone adhesive. Sil-Poxy by Smooth On is a great choice. It can be quite messy compared to Ure-Bond if you're unfamiliar with it, so you might also want to purchase some NAPTHA and a paint brush so that you can clean any of the excess silpoxy off of areas you don't want it.
I don't recommend using standard platinum silicone from a hardware store to repair tears in molds. You can make molds out of it and they'll turn out fabulous, but it doesn't quite work to bond torn silicone.
Dang I didn't realize this comment is 4 years old. Oopsies. Hopefully this helps someone else at least.
Can this be used to repair urethane foam as well, like flex foam-it?
Can this be used on platinum Tin silicones?
I need to get some of the releasing agent
