It really shows you how brutal climbing can be when you are forced to perform at your best on one specific day, with no real time to project routes and whatnot. Really enjoyed you letting us in to your mindset throughout the competition.
Awesome Emil! 💪... I always look forward to your vids! Yourself and Magnus and a couple others are the reason I started to climb in the first place! Much respect man! Keep being you!
You looked great on the lead wall -- congrats on the podium but also maintaining your strength and head throughout. The van looks incredible. I bet I'm not the only one that would love a deep dive into the van design/build/fun features. Thanks again for an excellent video.
Knowing any given route makes such a difference. I'm projecting a 7C right now (which suit my fortes), but I know there are 6Cs which I can fail repeatedly on because they aren't my style and I'm not as confident on the moves.
nice video man, really enjoying this series. I think breaking down a route to sections and moves is really interesting. there are already so many videos of that for bouldering its nice to see it for routes. it'd be cool to pick a hard route project for you and watch you go through the process of figuring it out. its something we all go through as climbers who are trying hard to push through to the next grade and your narration, notes and insight as you progress through it would be great!
Congrats Emil on the medal! If I may give you a little bit of advice, try and shake your arms when you rest on lead instead of chalking each time, i think you would recover much more
why would you limit yourself to two go's in a final? seems like bad strategy to me. Your mindset for the first boulder is the mindset you should maintain. Don't make dumb rules for yourself.Try and top, and rest till you have energy for another go, not until theres only time for one more go. Im no coach, but I think a climbing coach would agree.
and then to sit there posing for cameras. I get it, having fun, enjoying the moment and what not. But you'd think you should be reading the problem and focusing on the task at hand.

Wow, name any other top competitor who narrates the post-mortem on his/her climbing like this! What a great idea, and very instructive!

Nice video as always!
Thanks for sharing this video. When you will start your journey?
Nice job Emil! Would you ever do a moonboard video???
I could definitely give it a go :-) haven’t been on one for a long time though. Which set up is the best? There’s like three, right?
Would love to see that aswell since I am considering setting one up for myself.
@@EmilAbrahamsson Yea, and 2016 set is the most used, and is full of crimps. The 17 has more big holds.
@@EmilAbrahamsson whichever one you want!!! I have only tried 2016 and it’s really crimpy
Love me some Emil content!
Great breakdown.
