In this video I will give you an overview of the custom-build drip system which is running in my "Betta Territory" since 2009. For a tutorial of my dripsystem, please click here: • My DripSystem - Tutorial
I can't believe the time you've invested in videos! Will have to try watching them in sequence. Do you breed wild bettas? Are you a commercial and retail business? If you are a retailer where can your bettas be purchased? Do you show your fish in competitions? Can I ask what's the most you've sold a fish for? And last... are you recognized for any of your own breeds?
Thank you for the message and support 🙏. I purely breed Bettas from a hobby perspective. I like to share knowledge & experiences on my website and TH-cam channel but still learn every day. I regularly show my at shows in Europe as you can see here: www.bettaterritory.nl/BT-GalleryAwards.htm
A tutorial of this would be amazing!! I love this! Can I ask where you got your containers from? And also what is the part that holds the water that flows out the four holes and where'd you get it from?
This system is awesome, I am planning to do something like this. can you please share the link if the jars available online. Thanks for sharing this video
demetris they are plastic and ideal for this purpose. I made them from “Binding Cover GBC Poly Opaque A4 300 Micron”. I hope this answer is useful to you?
What a great setup! I might try this out, but the only issue I see is you still have to clean their poop in each individual tank. It'd be great if there's a solution for that. Btw how often do you clean the poop? Thanks for sharing.
Great video! I was interested in building a similar setup on a smaller scale. While doing some research I read that male Bettas release hormones and cannot share the same water. Is that true? Did you have any issue with that?
Thank you! Happy to hear you liked the video. With respect to your question: Within the Betta community we often hear the statement that each fry produces a growth inhibiting hormone to give themselves the best chance of survival and will inhibit the growth of the other fry in the grow-out tank. Too my knowledge the "growth hormone production theory" more than a hypothesis which has never been scientifically proven. After all, when this would be true it would imply that daily water changes would be able to prevent differences in growth as you would overcome possible high concentrations of such hormones. This does not seem to be the case which makes me doubt whether this hypothesis is true unless the fish are excreting such a huge amount of hormones on a daily base. We all know that the presence of a dominant male and the behaviour of such fish can inhibit the development of sibling males. Personally I do not think this phenomenon is caused by external hormones but more with a balance of internal hormones mainly testosterone (male hormone) and cortisol (stress hormone). For example, I can imagine that when testosterone is high and cortisol low a male will develop dominance (alpha male). In presence of a more dominant male stress levels are higher and so will be cortisol inhibiting the development of an alpha male.
I have 1/2 gallon jars I thought we're pretty good, they're square clear plastic jars I got from walmart, and they show off the Bettas well. BUT I find the PH climb from 7.2 to 7.5 in about 24hrs. Must be the wrong kind of plastic. My aquariums and buckets hold the PH well but something is wrong with the plastic in these jars. What kind of jars do you have, what are they used for? Maybe I am doing Google searches for the wrong kind of containers. I know we're from different countries, but maybe there in an international company I can order these containers from. Yours seem to work well for you.
Andreas Setyo The outflow holes are in the front, the feeding holes in the lid are at the back. This way the food is already eaten or sunken before it reaches the outflow. So no problems 😉.
I do this by siphoning the bottom of each individual jar every 2-4 days as shown at 3:20 min in the following video: th-cam.com/play/PLUJF09hw7hlKUqbqoT34Bb7FxlriyW15b.html
Yes they grow to adult size in 5-6 months in my set-up. Keep in mind that water is continuously changed in this system en and each individual tank is siphoned every 2 days. Quality fish need quality care ;).
Thank you for watching. At the moment I am not breeding VTs anymore but in the spawn-log section on my website you can view all the spawns I did with VT in the period 2015-2018. Here an impression: www.bettaterritory.nl/BT271117.htm
I am very happy with this system. My fish grow well and are in top condition. But as mentioned before quality fish also need quality care so I spend a lot of time in the fishroom taking care of my fish.
Great information, keep up the great content
This is great!! Your VTs look awesome and you know how I feel about them :D Those boxes look very nice. Great video!
Hello, I love the ideas applied to your system. Well designed, well planned.
Sek Ranger thank you 🙏.

Nicest setup of the kind I’ve seen, thanks for sharing!
Wow! There is lots of betta fish. Wonderful video 👍
Thanks a lot for sharing this.. amazing setup you got.. really nice.
Thank you 🙏.

thanks for sharing joep! what is the material you use to card your fish? obviously it's not paper since it doesn't get wet... hmmm

Wow. This system looks awesome
Well done, Joep! Good tutorial for betta room!

Geez thats an awesome drip system you got set-up! Thought about doing a snall one myself
Thank you Steve!
Great setup 😀
Where did you find trays that could hold all those tanks
They are common gutters in the local DIY stores here in the Netherlands.
Awesome!!! #goals !!!!! Absolutely love the VTs 😍😍😍
Thank you :D!
Hi, Mr Joep. This is Yohan Suyatno. we chat on messenger lately. thanks again for sharing this. this is awesome.
James Betta Thank you for the support Yohan 👍.
Where can I get those jars? ❤
Wonderful Joep

Parrot Bill these are the jars I personally use in the system: www.eimerundbecherprofi.de/logiflex/logiflex/logiflex-3300-ml-transparent-1838.html
Love your system! How wide are your rain gutters? Don't think I have ever seen them that big before.
The base of the system is 180 mm, they are standard in the DIY stores here in the Netherlands: th-cam.com/video/phDtxHXXhgA/w-d-xo.html
Where u get the container
What about the food? Do you have any problems with feeding it?
Andreas Setyo no problems with feeding. Each lid has a small hole to make feeding easy.
@@BettaTerritory so, the food wont directly come out because it is sinking?
Andreas Setyo The outflow holes are in the front, the feeding holes in the lid are at the back. This way the food is already eaten or sunken before it reaches the outflow. So no problems 😉.
А где вы покупали такие подставки под банки? Или делали на заказ?
Could you translate your question to English please? I do not understand what you mean now, thank you.
Can I now what is the meaning of this drip system? And what it can do? Thanks
How do you clean their poop?
I do this by siphoning the bottom of each individual jar every 2-4 days as shown at 3:20 min in the following video: th-cam.com/play/PLUJF09hw7hlKUqbqoT34Bb7FxlriyW15b.html
Dose the betta get stress from the water dripping
Kue Yang no stress at all 😉. In my system water is not dripping but flows in below waterlevel of each jar.
will betta still grow in this tank size?
Yes they grow to adult size in 5-6 months in my set-up. Keep in mind that water is continuously changed in this system en and each individual tank is siphoned every 2 days. Quality fish need quality care ;).
Can you show some of ur veil tail

What jars are that and where they can be purchased if you don't mind sharing :)
The jars I use are: LOGIFLEX 3300 ML TRANSPARENT jars. I purchased them from Germany.
Impressive!
Thanks!

Don't need any fake or real plants?
Uday Das I personally never use any.
I have one more question Sir... Maximum how inchs or cm water depness betta comfortable?
Uday Das my tanks/jars are all 15-20 cm in height.
This jar is perfect Sir?
I am very happy with this system. My fish grow well and are in top condition. But as mentioned before quality fish also need quality care so I spend a lot of time in the fishroom taking care of my fish.
