Thanks a lot JT! You're already the first on this challenge. Ah cool to see a Morris Traveller - I can remember I've seen a real one in last year. The back is all wooden framed. The Fish'd & Chip'd is such a cool casting - sadly Mattel didn't get the license from Jaguar to also give it dual headlights and calling it Jaguar Mk10 Coupe. Oh, I totally forgot about the Ford Escort. It was built at Ford of Britain as well as in Ford in Germany. It was developed in Britain. Loving the HW model with the rallye lights - I also have it in some different colors. The white one with blue stripes of your collection is really amazing - I can remember I've seen this color combination quite often in my childhood. Totally loving the Aston Martins in the design from the hand of Henryk Fisker. Triumph TR7 weren't so popular over here but I've seen a few in my childhood. Really nice to see Corgi and Dinky. Lotus Europa - I can remember to have seen some on the Classics & Coffee in Stuttgart here and then. It has the most quirky rear end design that I've ever seen. MG TC - amazing! One of the Models of Yesterday, very cool! Oh and at the end the MGB GT from Matchbox - also a wonderful casting. I also have this one somewhere.
@@BFDdrives Thanks Sven for coming up with such a cool challenge 👍I had a lot fun doing this one😀I didn't know that the Traveler was really a woodie wagon, I wonder what v8 Hot Wheels put in it? Looks kinda Hemi-ish maybe a Diamler, def not a 215 Rover/Buick V8. Fish'd and Chip'd is awesome, I just posted a short with the First Edition one I have. I have several of the Escort including the John Player Special colors looking Hot Wheels premium. The Europa used to be an affordable car here a decade ago, now they are so rare they fetch a premium. I love the TC I went to Mecum car auctions back in 2020, and that was my first encounter with a real TC and my first time seeing a real Morgan +4 up close too, (I hope someone posts that new MBX one on here, I haven't found it yet) I'm probably going to make a shorts video (or 2), with some of my carded British cars, and tag you on them too. Thanks again for making such a great challenge, and for watching and commenting on my reply video. Hope you are having a great day 😀
@@ShawnStafford-1978 Yeah before the WW2, most cars had pieced together roofs too, some were steel, and others like our 37 Packard are wood and vinyl in the middle. Buick invented the first one piece large roof press in 1958, before that they were all pieced together, or smaller. Steel bodies were not cost effective on wagons, before full automation, and before the late 50s there were no body pressing machines to make that large of a panel.
Great selection of British cars. The Lotus is wonderful as is the TC The TR7 also had a V8 version called the TR8. They looked exactly the same except for twin pipes on the V8 ☺️ 5:58

Both are my favorites from the challenge, The Lotus is a super rare Italian Hot Wheels 1/43 scale, with incredible details, I found it for a dollar at a thrift store, that had no other toys, I believe it is from 1970, The Blue MG is from Matchbox Models of Yesteryear around 1980, it has a removable hardtop, and is still stored in its original box, it's like new. 👍😎
