If you look at any helldiver armor you can see some similarities to heavy trooper armor but most players tend to choose light and medium armor for flexibility and agility and unlike the seaf troopers we can use a lot more equipment that experimental like energy weapons.
But Helldivers got more stuff in their arsenal while SEAF troop issued standard stuff, like in real life, infantry troop may wear more protection than special force that focus on flexibility and mobility
This goes both ways, exosuit pilots have a notorious life expectancy rate so the c-01 permit is there as an enticement tool or he has already "spread democracy"

I'd love it if there was a stratagem that could call down a SEAF Trooper strike team. Like Pelican-1 flies down a squad of about 6 Troopers, and using this video as an example for what type of Troopers would be dropped in, Standard Trooper x3 Patrol Trooper x2 Heavy Trooper or Bionic Trooper x1 I also like the idea of side objectives on a defense order, where you can find SEAF Troopers engaging the Bots or Bugs.
Would be neat if that side objective was a sort of "anti fabricator" with small perimeter of SEAF troops and a bunker or pillbox of some sort that occasionally spawns a trooper if the ones nearby die. Civilian evac missions already have a door that spawns humans so the framework is there.
Considering they don’t have any anti armor weapons, this would actually be pretty balanced because even if four divers called in their own squad, none of them could do jack to any heavies, or even some medium targets.
We don't have "near defeat" scenarios yet in HD2. If they force such instance, we might get SEAF fighting on some missions. Right now, all missions are of the FUBAR kind. Also they said the SEAF AI is kinda wonky as of now. I'd love a frontline type mission with allied tanks and mechs.
Everyone is sleeping on the hilarious use of Rapid Unscheduled Disassembly (RUD) in the description of the Exosuits exploding. Love the amazing little details like that.
Reminds me of how the intro cutscene for Helldivers 1 showed the Great Pyramid of Giza covered in Super Earth infrastructure. Looks like the SEAF is taking more inspiration from our glorious human history X3
@@MonitorMono There are actually plenty of historically inspired armor concepts made by the devs, like Roman, Samurai, Gladiator inspired armors and so on, I wouldn't be surprised if we would get a Gladius, Katana or even a gladiator-esk weapon.

Seeing the DP-11 helmet in other colors aside from its default tan, black, and red is a serious delight. Easily one of my favorite helmets in the game.

Bionic trooper: Servo-assisted armour passive and can pick up defensive backpacks to increase the likelihood of survival. Exosuit pilot: Democracy protects armour passive and can pick up offensive backpacks to increase effectiveness once their exosuit is lost.
We need more of this. Helldivers take all the glory, but SEAF forces also do their part for the war effort. While Helldivers deal devastating damage to enemy supply lines, strategic and tactical assets, SEAF forces hold and push the line where and when the enemy falters, they are the hammer to the Helldivers spear. Also SEAF has access to all the equipment helldivers have, but they are deployed at a squad and higher level, as opposed to the individual level of Helldivers.

This kind of creativity is what gets the cogs turning on my inner creative writer just itching to make characters and stories even in this parody universe. Its got such a distinctly different feel from warhammer, something uniquely its own. I love the thought of the bionic trooper being just a normal giy who got completely eviscerated and refitted as a specialist melee/demolitions unit ready to get some revenge. Its like how the cyborgs from HD1 treated their own units.

That heavy trooper is the incarnation of all I desire in Helldivers 2 : a Power armor / Footsoldier Exo. This have so muck more weight than any heavy armor currently existing. I love the targeting visor... I just need something like that for the divers : Hellmets that comes with a little extra... And one tiny detail but d*mn does it make the difference : the bipod off ! Now you see, this is a weapon tha presents well ! ( Wish there was an option in game to do so, either for cosmetic or gameplay. like adding more stability while taking cover. )

Hello there! I like this video on the SEAF Specialists and wanted to share some more insight on each of them to add to their descriptions in the future if you ever wish. I include their general purpose and command size for operations for a quick summary of each. I hope you enjoy them! Standard Trooper - Tasked with standard operations. Generally travels at company level (80 - 250 personnel) during operations. Patrol Trooper - Tasked with standard, logistical and reconnaissance operations. Generally travels at platoon level (12 - 36 personnel) during operations. Heavy Trooper - Tasked with standard, special and search and rescue operations. Generally travels at squad level (10 personnel) during operations. Bionic Trooper - Tasked with special, reconnaissance, covert and intelligence operations. Generally travels alone per discretion of command, but should need arise, generally travels at team level (4 personnel) during operations. Exosuit Pilot - Tasked with special and general military operations. Attached to any and every command as safeguard and asset for any and all operations. Generally travels alone during operations, but maintenance crew for exo-suit required for operational success; generally consisting of squad level (4 personnel), excluding pilot.
Cool stuff the standard trooper and patrol trooper make sense. The heavy trooper is more specialized part of an MG team I assume . I don't know why folks want to shoe in a melee specialist, All you need is your trusty bayonet. The pilots would make use of more compact PDW, and the greater SEAF would make more use of pilots/Vehicle crews than the Helldiver core
This is a fanmade thing though, actual SEAF armor for instance is a B-01 Tactical with missing armor pieces on the arm and legs, and their helmets does not have face protection

Imagine creak with SEAF troopers. They all start screaming about how they'll never let super earth fall and every one the bots kill, 5 more charge in with you. They start shooting and stabbing the bots as they charge in to destroy the base.
Well, they do planning to add melee into the game sooner or later, and seeing SM2's melee combat, I think they really want to make it feel impactful (Devs are a big fan of WH40K and SM2)
That heavy armor is just the default one we get minus cape and colored blue, since it’s hand me down helldivers armor. The helmet is from the super store iirc. And he’s sporting the Jetpack and heavy machine gun. The only difference being his legs have exoskeleton reinforcements. You can be literally him.
I just tested the devastator heavy mg and jump and cluster bomb combo and it is so fun throwing the the airstrike then just before it lands I leap towards area, it feels so badass and fun I call it inceptor load out.
This is worth funding, I hope Arrowhead actually adopt some of these (primary the first three), these designs are definitely worth funding, you’ve got yourself another supporter! ❤
A rifle squad is generally made of three fireteams of four. Each fireteam has a special weapon to maximize impact capability in the absence of armored forces. Often seen are recoilless rifles and rocket launcher in all three teams due to their diverse armament portfolio, which enables anti personnel, structure, and armor capabilities with a common weapon. The large size of the squad also enables casualty tolerance, which in turn removes the need for combat lifesavers.

That heavy armor is just the default one we get minus cape and colored blue, since it’s hand me down helldivers armor. The helmet is from the super store iirc. And he’s sporting the Jetpack and heavy machine gun. The only difference being his legs have exoskeleton reinforcements. You can be literally him.

I just tested the devastator heavy mg and jump and cluster bomb combo and it is so fun throwing the the airstrike then just before it lands I leap towards area, it feels so badass and fun I call it inceptor load out.
I love how the exosuit pilot has a preapproved C-01 form, very nice little touch.
