I was outside when premier was cuttin over the group home intro... when i heard it I started buggin out on the esidewalk!!!
Lol! Is that Shine on his tshirt. I love that!
someone with the true Hiphop knowledge, we need a tracklist here!
King of the beats is DJ Premier
BIG UP TO PRIMO for keepin' real with the BOOM BAP RAP which is the only real HIP-HOP music along with Break-Beats, Soul, Electro-Funk and Old School Funk !!!....fuck the bling bling !...Peace, DJ FRESH ROCK from Switzerland....
@57supreme
That day was actually kind of cool, in the early 70s temp. wise...unfortunately, the hipsters and rich people in the area called the cops and they made Fat Beats staff close the windows whenever music was playing...factor in a small space filled to capacity or possibly over capacity and no window to let the heat and humidity out and you basically have a sauna...
@ActivServiceUnit
It's the Intro from Group Home's "Livin' Proof" album...
Real Hip Hop Forever
In case you didn't get an answer... The issue is deeper than sound quality. Serato allows djs to spin their digital files off a laptop using turntables as the trigger. The ability to have an entire music collection accessible without needing to carry it to the gig, made vinyl obsolete for many djs. Record shops that were not able to transform into successful online digital music stores (Fat Beats) were forced to close because the massive nosedive the demand for vinyl took.
Fat beats will always lives R.I.P 1995-2010
YES, PUT OUT THE GROUP HOME INSTRUMENTAL LP!!!! ill buy one
#Salute @ToneRiggz I was next to you at the event.... #Dope #HipHop We all got mad video kid!! #Respect
your boy @ 6:42 - Preem was like sheeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiit lmao
him scratching the group home intro.....that was unbelievable to see
Premier is the BOMB
it's an instrumental skit called "Visions" from Afu-Ra's "Body of the Life Force" album...it's produced by DJ Premier...as Tone Riggz says above....
@ifalas
it's a beat that DJ Premier did for Afu-Ra's "Body of the Life Force" album, it's called "Visions"...unfortunately, Afu didn't use it for a song, he used it as a skit or intermission, he just let the beat play for a few seconds on the album...
@LATerr0r
It's the Intro from Group Home's "Livin' Proof" album, produced by Premo...Jay Electronica was just rhyming on it in tribute to Guru...
Great video thanks bud!
The group home living proof album was the "Best-Worst" album rap album ever created. The beats were 30 years ahead of their time but dap and melachi were shitty rappers.
@Rappalot126
it's a Gang Starr tribute concert...he mentioned that most of the artists who've collaborated with Gang Starr over the years will be at the show or performing...he also mentioned that one big name artist in particular will be at the concert, but refused to mention who that artist is...i can't recall if he mentioned a date, but i think he was still ironing out all of the details, when it happens the info will probably be posted everywhere...
that shirt is AMAZING!
@MrAzigzag
it's part of an interlude called "Baby Pa" by Group Home...
@tesm32
it's an instrumental skit called "Visions" from Afu-Ra's "Body of the Life Force" album...it's produced by DJ Premier...
"I need a free beat" hahaha
Damn, If I didn't have a gig that night I would've been there to rep for my dude Premo and my FB fam.
HIP HOP = PREIMERE + GURU = 90'S = BRING IT BACK PEOPLE = JAY-Z YOU KNOW THE DRILL MAN!
Where can I see the Gang Starr Concert!!! I will pay big doe for it
@REALHIPH0PHEAD idk, but the sample is "Yesterday" by the Beatles or just McCartney. I can't remember which.
Thanks.
@RaiptYou
He said "Anybody that ever performed on a Gang Starr record from Snoop Dogg to Scarface, is going to be there"...Snoop was on "The Ownerz" album...that's why he mentioned him...
Group Home - Intro from Livin' Proof album
.....Group Home Instru LP was released??? i gotta find it and wreck the shit outta it

@toneriggz
Cheers bro!
No, this happened a few months after Guru died, hence the Guru tribute video...
@JoeMegaBeats What's wrong with Serato? I am unfamiliar with this term/technology. How did it kill vinyl and "fat beats" (I'm assuming you mean quality of sound)?
@JoeMegaBeats the new upcomig Djs gotta use vinyl wax, Premo is mixing cuting and juggling beats almost a century so he doesnt have to proof once again that he is on of the dopest DJ, and he might be tired to carry tones of vinyls on every single show :))
Premo is such a legend, he makes fuckin up look good.
Whats the Beat at 2:05? My Shazam for some reason cant pick up the song?? Ive been looking for that song for the past 20 fucking years!!!!
this is before guru died :/ , a few months before guru died. RIP.
snoop dogg came out on a song with the guru (RIP) on the owners album...
"in this life"
I just realized, that i was born in the totally wrong century...
He is like a fucking beat doctor !
"Yo man you know Rakim?...... That brotha' stuck again."
Lord have mercy on those "7 emcees"!
yo what beat is that at 8:30!!! its so smooth
@REALHIPH0PHEAD
It's Intro by Group Home
song at 5:03?
i was wondering the same thing, with the beatles sample?
@JoeMegaBeats
i understand to a certain degree all of this anti-Serato fervor, but i think the biggest thing that people are missing here is that this was all free- all of these Final Week instore performances were free...to get a chance to meet all of these rappers, producers, DJs for free and see them perform for free- they could've banged on pots and pans and i still would've been grateful...it's a new age, all of the greats are using Sertao, it is what it is...
Oh shit, yeah that's true...my bad. Guru died in april of 2010,
Premo smashed on those 1 and 2's
"Monotony" by Afu-Ra, produced by Premo...
he is spinning Serato. not records....
Waterproof headphones?
@toneriggz
Plus photogs in general have that same demeanor at most Hip Hop shows...
SERATO IS ALSO EASIER FOR THE DJ TO TRAVEL WITHOUT THE RECORDS AND CRATES. BUT ANY REAL DJ CAN USE ANY PROGRAM OT JUST TURNTABLES TO PERFORM.
@REALHIPH0PHEAD its off Group Homes first album. I believe its the intro track.
@ZaneThaKing
Without blowing up any spots, those two photographers are the significant others of certain people in the indie Hip Hop scene...So, i'd imagine they know a lot of these artists personally and have seen them perform many times which is why they might seem unfazed...
What's the track @ 5:50, please?
Can someone tell me what the song is at 11:39?
@REALHIPH0PHEAD
that's the intro to the group home album "livin proof"
RIP GURU! YO PRIMO, WHERE THE DOCUMENTARY?
@57supreme it felt 100 degrees in that room I was sweating too.

@djfidde
Intro by Group Home
where's part 3?
It’s still up on TH-cam. It’s only about 5 minutes, I ran out of memory/battery power. Premo ended the night with the Big L/Guru tribute that I posted.
oops scratch that.... fat beats did transform into a successful digital music store my bad
@noxxciety nice 1 man
whats the tune at 6:52 any1! cheerz
What can I say that hasnt been said about king Premo!
@JoeMegaBeats Serato is a convinient DJ tool to easily transport all the dj's media.. sure it makes DJing a ton easier, but a real dj stilll needs to possess the skills and talent to perform.
@JoeMegaBeats whats wrong with that? ...im glad leaving my black gold in the cases or on the wall instead of dragging 100s of vinyls to club every weekend...if you really want to...you can still buy vinyls...thats how life goes with new inventions...im glad the dj stuff is kinda slow on inventions...u still got 1210s a mixer and a crossfader since the 80s...
Track at 5:17?
what's the track at 2:20?
@bandaley
Considering who they are, the probably know Premo personally..
@toneriggz maybe they know him personally , i dont know. But still...

@bandaley I see what u mean but not necessarily true. Its just not enough females who are hip hop heads that could appreciate this. if i had been there i wouldve been the main chick head noddin to Premo
this is my favorite dj and producer . he is the reason why i make beats and dj
