The amount of talent present here is fucking ridiculous. Everyone that spits, destroys and is the epitome of the "underground" scene at that time. For anyone that wants to know what that raw NY MC shit is, look no further. Why I love EL so much is because he still oozes that vibe to this day in everything he touches.
Brewin man........LOVE me some Breezly Brewin........ his voice and flow are the illest.
Pre-weathermen, pre-def jux, god damn this is my history right here. Peace to all my weather people still bumpin that raw shit. And of course all you jewelrunners just discovering this artifact
Ol Jerz Bastard feel like Co Flow is still ahead of the game, run the jewels feel like els not as raw.
Underground hip hop I miss you...

"living circle circle dot dot...." treds stopped spittin, he knew the crowd was boutta come in. Such a signature quote
@@jacktherhymer Probably an age thing. Every 80's kid knows exactly what it means.
‘Even when I say nothing it’s a beautiful use of negative space’
Hip Hop at its greatest, the peak of the underground movement, best generation of rappers, NYC all day. Legends.
BREEZE BREWIN.
I love it! No cellphones no nothing! Just straight hip hop!
i wish the internet was around like it is now. I hardly knew what the majority of the musicians i liked even looked like until a decade or more after hearing them. Let alone interview and the like, its interesting to see how people are in conversation compared to raps.
@874: nah, because it made you hungry for it..and that brings out a whole other dimension..but hey if you dont see it ..you dont see it.
@@Stoney-Jacksman yep. and you valued the tape or record more when you finally get one
@@clyde6003 and you use the beauty of the brain and imagination..to draw scenes and faces in your mind. There is nothing better than that. In a small room in a closed up project building. I could travel the world. Cognitively.
Peacr
I love how they all know each other's lines, man I miss these days.
Pointless spitting on stage together unless you know each other's most hype bars.
Ill Bill's a fuckin beast. Real shit.
Ill Bill in the house.
Man do I miss Fat Beats! I miss the old NY in general. Lol
Cause on the mic ive got more presence than attendence in a class of schizophrenics, here here. AW LAWD
Stephen Mooney still one of my favourite lines ever. This album is so under rated it’s criminal. One of the best hip hop albums ever in my opinion
It legit took me two years, when this first came out, to figure out wtf he said in that line. Breeze Brewin is god tier.
@King Leopold It is relating the artist's ability and confidence on the microphone, the aura they bring with them, their 'presence' to the presence of the number of supposed people that would be existing in a classroom filled with Schizophrenics. Schizophrenics hear voices in their heads, so not only is there the actual people themselves in the room, there are all the voices every single one of them hears as well. So the artist is saying his presence on the microphone is more than that of all of the hundreds of voices of those people in the classroom.
It is considered a great line because it combines all of that into a single sentence.
Probably the best bars, lyrics, of all time ! And that is such a hard beat on fire in which you burn.
this is legendary
Queen is tuff!
This footage is so awesome, haven't had a grin this big on my face in...forever
My childhood right here...damn.
Rare that I get goosebumps like this these days.
Truly what a time to be alive
Good times, so much potential back then.
It's cool looking back on this. EL-P and Ill Bill to this day are still 2 of my favorite artists and continue to drop great material like Run the Jewels and Coka Nostra today.
I still have this album!! #funcrusherplus
This is like watching the pyramids get built. Amazing footage!
Oh shit !! I didn't even see ill bill back there ha ah ! Dope .
bigg jus is the greatest emcee to ever bless the mic and i will fight anyone who says otherwise....
Wow..the girl. So beautiful and talented
This Is Rap 90s Classics 💣🔥👊🎙🎵🎶🔝
This video should have 200 million views.
More presence than attendance in a class of schizophrenics is still one of the dopest lines I've ever heard in my life. Whole track was 🔥
El-P really gave a masterclass here this was absolutely ridiculous
A great glimpse into the past!
thanks for sharing this man
Legend..
Absolute legends!!! These ppl right here are majorly responsible for the Underground scene shortly after them! Pioneers at this Indy/Underground tip, no one at the time was really exposing the record labels and the shadiness of managers and executives and the whole Industry like these guys were along with Non Phixion, Immortal Technique, JMT, Aesop Rock, Brother Ali, !! That wave fused a lot of babies!!! Thank the Hip Hop GODS!!!
Queen heroin is dope ..this was my group back in the days niggas brought lyrics and independent hip hop to the forefront .
Ill Bill
I'm the living circle circle dot dot, nobody can touch me
feel like time traveling me just watching this right now. dope♥
Incredible! Some of my most favo rappers all time in one line-up. Some of them probably still feeling the side-effects of their raps. Crazy overwhelmed as a tiny european teenager with no internet that time.
Damn yo. Never seen this video. This stuff is dope! HIPHOP!!!
i could listn to Breezly Bruin spit all day...him and roc marciano just got niggas captivated on som other shit..
REAL HIP HOP!!!
J so sick 😩
Queen Herawin! FIRE
this is real hip hop !!!!!
J-Treds is super sick.
He was actually my favorite from Company Flow. His voice and style was just so sick and intrigued the hell out of me when I was younger.
QUnique loving..haha. so dope. I was there but not on camera. dope shit
That's me in the back left with the white headband and my brother Big Diack.
dope mcs from nyc i really miss the 1990's years
hip hop needs to come back mannnnn, wtf is going on???
One day it will come back. Underground always exists. There will be a legendary group again one day I know it, like Company Flow Slum Village and Pharcyde type shit.
Come back from where? A lot of the artists from back then are still here making records, so not sure what you're talking about.
Ah when Hip Hop was still cool and funky.
Ill bill!
this is great 👍
J treds looks so damn fresh
E learned so many lessons about music and rhyming from these days. My personal thoughts are that these days and ciphers allowed him to recognize the incredible chemistry he has worth Killer Mike today.
This really is just hip hop for the most serious and dedicated of heads. A lot of people that bump underground MCs have nsver heard of any of these kids tbh. Maybe El-p/Company Flow. Where I'm from (down south) nobody has heard of any of these guys in the slightest. I went to a show the other night tho with a group out of texas, and the main MC kicked a verse with a dope rhyme schene that referenced celph titled, apathy, vinnie paz, army of the pharaohs
This shit was big in its day. I worked college radio ('96-'99) and these guys (and many others) were charting every month. The underground was dope. Do your googles. Record labels - Rawkus, Hydra, Fondle 'Em, 7Heads, Wreck, Stones Throw (I could go on) all had this shit on lock back then.
I do!!!
My Hip Hop Collection Runs 100,000 league beneath the earth crust and ocean.
0:11 so dope 🔥🔥🔥🔥🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧🔥🔥🔥💯💯💯💯💯🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥

Doooooppppeeeee
ILL! This is pure raw! This is a real m.c. cypher!
J-Treds, Breeze, and Words all have completely insane flows. Where the hell did J-Treds go?
Lyricism at it's finest.
Bigg Jus is the king
I miss the old days ... of real hip hip
Indelible! Rawkus days.
she is great 👍
more talent than the past decadde of rap
This should have 10 million views already... but people ain't feeling real hip hop. They claim they do tho lol.
Wordsworth killing it. Like usual.
So epic.
Dope!!!!
Real Rap.
Hip Hop
Man j treds is SO FUCKING UNDERRATED. breeze too. They both kill shit
Man, I was born in the wrong decade man, live Fat Beats freestylin & live, though not in Boston Fat Beats but who knows if it was there then. We need more shows like this packed indy hip hop stores with free shows or radio shows like Sway & Tech, and of course Stretch & Bobbito Freestylin local dope emcees n live writtens, hell battles like Scribble Jam, what happened [achemSocialMediaachem]! Fantastic stuff man, props to whoever filmed it wish it was the whole event tho. Cds are a dying medium gotta get people in somehow!! Ill Bill in my fav era of his, Rock from The Arsonists is there: CoFlow, Juggaknots [Is the chick from this & WEIGHT? I assume shes part of Juggaknots but why's she barely on any Indelibles tracks?] & J-Treds [What happened to J Treds?! I've researched & found nothing; sUch an ill emcee, makes no sense He'd quit with a crew that epic, esp with Def Jux on the horizon, like that. [I want a time machine go back & pay for a full Indelible MCs LP of OG material.] Was it the whole Rawkus BS that kept The Indelible MCs from doing an LP?
everyone is great 👍
the kids don’t know
Fuegoooooooooooo
Indie hiphop at it's purest.
I'm so stupid I never knew this was breeze brewin, I love clear blue skies that album is 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Love that mathematics on the mic.
I bet no one knew at the time how epic and how important these artists were for that whole movement
Listening to today's so called hiphop they still haven't realised ish!
In the underground a lot of artist knew each other. Even without the internet (as it is), people made connections through being at certain spots, trhough even communicating with graffiti on walls.
Its now about importance. Most people dont care about these people now (but for the whole run the jewels generic sect). Only a few. Like it always is and will be with certain sincere art.
I lived all the way in Amsterdam and I knew how epic these cats were..so stop the generic cliché American drama comments please ;)
They still don't
GRADE xaxaxaxaxa
They were literally the movement especially el-p
