I forgot to add it to the video but all of the executions in V3 actually parallel ones from DR1, not just the ones I mentioned. I guess in the future if I do a video discussing all the similarities between DR1 and V3 I could talk about it there. I know a lot of people will probably wonder why Gonta’s isn’t on the list too. I was really torn between his and Kirumi’s for number 3. Gonta’s death was really heartbreaking but overall I think I still preferred Kirumi’s execution. Mostly I just thought it was really cool how closely they connected it to that short story I mentioned in the video. Anyways, hope you guys enjoy!
Another intriguing aspect of Kaede's execution is that the song she was being forced to play is usually done on the black keys of a piano, which could symbolize her being the blackened. However, Monokuma made her play on the white keys, which could have alluded to the fact that she wasn't actually the blackened and was being framed.
They probably didn’t kill all the students because Tsumugi Shirogane is the mastermind and Monokuma didn’t want the mastermind to die and they had so much students so that was really weird that they didn’t execute all of them and said that Kaede was the murderer even though Tsumugi was the mastermind
Another thing about Kaede's execution, due to her being pushed down on the keys, she was given quick breaths, so due to this, Monokuma prolonged her execution for as long as possible, just thinking about Kaede and what happened to her nearly makes me cry every time.
Makes me laugh not gonta lie (i cant stop doing that😂) the executions are ironic thats the f-ed up part but the reason i dont care os because i didnt really connect to the charecters closest was gonta which reminds me of my self alittle but eh the charecters feel dumb to me especially miu but the first execution not being necessary got me pissed not because of the specific person but the fact that a life was wasted for no reason 😑😐
I still found Leon's execution despair filled. His dream was never baseball, and he started breaking away from it. But he ended up getting executed by something he never really liked in the first place, giving a reminder that he could never escape the talent he was associated with. Correct me if I'm wrong please.
Thats not really true. Leon did actually like baseball. He was Just a Bit annoyed at being forced to Play all the time and was really tsundere about it.
Naegi Makoto thank you, but don't you think it brought Leon despair that he couldn't escape playing baseball, and an execution of baseballs killed him?
Oddcupcake Gaming I agree I'm glad you caught that about Leon because I really think people don't think about his situation enough. Of course he was the first executed but I think I love kaito so much because he was everything I wanted from Leon in 1 XD
I believe she died from being lynched, while the stones added insult to injury, and sped up the death process. To finish it off, the spike wall falls on her dead body, leaving no remains.
My favorite execution in V3 is Kirumi personally I love how it’s a reference to a spider trap and that it throws in the idea that all the people she gave undying loyalty to betraying her and blaming her for everything. It’s probably the most despairing as the spider trap lead you to believe there an exit and gets your hopes up for it to come crash down once you get to the top. Also thank you for saying that about Kaede, people don’t acknowledge the fact that she still tried to kill someone enough so I really appreciate it
Yes, we acknowledge she tried to kill someone... but for a good cause. It's not like she tried to kill someone for fun or revenge, she tried to kill someone to let the others free. She tried to kill the mastermind.
Kaede obviously mirrors Leon's execution in a way. Her getting dragged away. Even the music is the same. Korekiyo mirrors Mondo and Celeste the most (the way the camera focuses on his face as he gets twisted around by the Monokubs and then how the camera is placed above him as he sinks in the boiling pot all seem to come directly from DR1) Kaito mirrors Jin's execution, of course and, as you say, Naegi's execution because the execution pretty much 'fails'. Tsumugi ends up being crushed, just like Junko and maybe Kirumi mirrors Chiaki's execution because she thinks she can escape but then she gets killed anyway? Really not sure about Gonta. Maybe referencing Teruteru because he's tied up on a pole and gets shot by Monokuma in a sorta kinda 'harmless' way until he gets killed a whole different and extreme way.
Interesting fact: The blood that Kaito vomits near the end of his execution is the same blood image that was used during Gonta’s execution when he was stabbed in the stomach,
My top 10 of the series. -Blast off! Second ignition -1000 Blows -Wild West Insecticide -Cultural Melting Pot -Der Flohwalzer -Strand of Agony -Please Insert Coin -Gundham Tanaka Stampede! -One Woman Army -Burning of the Versailles Witch
I'm reaching at straws here but hear me out Kirumi's motive was caused by the motive videos and does what a flashback light does and implant false memories into the students, yet the students believe that they are remembering. The way Kirumi reached out to the light at the end of her struggle in her execution only to find that the light is fake, is *just* like the flashback lights. The students cling to the lights and struggle so much just to remember even the smallest of things, only to realize that the light was fake, that their memories were fake, and come "crashing" back down to reality.
Interesting. My fave was Kirumi's bc it showed how strong and determined she was. She didn't meekly accept her execution like a lot of others do. She never had a chance, but she fought to the end Fuck Kaede's execution. I know it was supposed to be over the top but it's so brutal and unpleasant that I can't stand to watch it. No other execution bothers me like that one. Those are my opinions anyway. This was a cool detailed vid like always. If anything the significant difference in our opinions makes it more interesting
See, Kaede’s execution being so overly brutal is the reason why it’s my favorite. Idk, I’m also a psychopath who has never cried because of a danganronpa game.
I love the ones with more detail like Kirumi's but my favorite one is Celeste because she wanted to be so different from everyone so she was happy she was gonna be burned alive at a stake because that was a rare death but then the truck came and getting killed by a car is the most common way of death but Kirumi's death was the most cruel and she was my favorite design so was Celeste they are just amazing
D[]XZQtionR [trooXzeQtiv] the thing is that I like to watch the executions before the actual game because it hypes me up and makes me want an explanation. So I read that before watching the gameplay. But after watching the gameplay you're right idk where that person got that from, but it was on reddit 😂
Thomas Williams Lol, Reddit? Yeah, it was most likely false, because at no point in time was a drawing like that mentioned, as far as I know, maybe it was mentioned in a free time event, but definitely not her class trial, and the end game modes don't seem very informative, they just answer the questions that you want answers to, but don't want to ask
Thomas Williams me too, I thought that it had some significance, but nowhere I've seen in the text, did they even mention a drawing like that, So, I'll just say that Maki was like "Screw you, you tried to frame me, now take this piece of trash I found in my lab" *Attaches drawing to the top of the vine*
Kaito doesn't turn into a skeleton after.going into the earths core, going out through space then slamming back down to earth right through the core then back on to the school. But the guy from the start of Danganronpa 1 does from going up into to space and slamming back down. That makes perfect sense.
Space Potato keep in mind it was a LOOONG time after the first DanganRonpa though. I think maybe the shuttle used had better tech so Kaito wouldn't die from the pressure, but instead from being slammed around, especially when the rocket crashes into the ground. I think maybe that part wasn't planned though, so maybe the rocket would open and he'd float in space until he died from lack of air (maybe he'd just...explode, space does weird things to the body)
+Thegeektoendallgeeks There are actually some visible tears and bloodstains on her clothes right before the piano crushes her body, so it seems that the stones really did hit her. It's just unclear whether it was the stones or the strangulation that killed her.
probably, but considering the fact Kaede was being jerked around violently it probably would've caused more strain and she'd run out of breath/ be asphyxiated quicker
Aryan Anand kiyos was worst, he didnt mind dying because it meant seeing his sister again, but then she kills him with salt. Talk about salt to the wound am i right?
Great Video Weeby! My list for V3: 3. Gonta (as someone with a case of entomophobia, this execution was horrible to watch) 2. Kirumi (this would have been #1 if this was just on brutality alone) 1. Kaede (Fuck You, Tsumugi!) For the entire series: 5. Gonta 4. Celeste (The game was showing mercy in DR1. We wasn't forced to watch her get crushed, just saw the truck and the heard the sound effect of it. Still cruel tho.) 3. Chiaki (Fuck You, Nagito!) 2. Kirumi 1. Kaede (Again, Fuck You, Tsumugi)
My favorite execution is, Korekiyo Shinguji, or "Cultural Melting Pot" Korekiyo Shinguji's was sad just because he's my favorite, and his sister was also part of what salted his ghost. I died inside when seeing his execution.
It's the most brutal imo, first, he boils to death, thats oainful as fuck, his skin would be coming off because of the temperature, then he dies to see the one he loves the most and she kills him with a smile on her face
1. Kirumi that was amazing 2. Gonta, I wanted to cry and used his talent as part of it 3. Kaede, messed up af and also used talent as part of it But SADDEST for me was probably 1. Kaede 2. Gonta 3. Kaito
This is why I like you. Kaede's execution is your favorite, when there are some fans out there like Minx who refuse to continue playing the game because they feel like the first execution betrayed them and was offensive.
Weeby didn't really mention it but kirumi's death reminded me of chiaki's in a lot of ways. Like how when they thought there was an exit they both tried to escape there execution but when they got to the "exit" they both realized there was no escape. P.S.I have a hard time choosing between Kaede's and Chiaki's execution for favorite executions and by favorite I mean which one made me cry the hardest. I think Chiaki's death really effected me the most not because not only did I love her but the game made Hajime aka us choose her. Same with kaede's but you get what I mean.
I think he was the only one that really deserved it. He deserved that execution and that salt at the end, he murdered almost 100 women. Its not heart breaking viewing it with normal human reactions.
I know it's not heart breaking but it's still brutal nonetheless. I kinda thought this list was on the level of brutality. Not only that, but it really fit his theme a lot and with Chapter 3. That execution was well written so I put it high up there regardless if I thought he deserved it. Just to clarify, he did deserve it. But it's one of my favorite executions.
I didn't expect an upload right when i was going to sleep but oooh boiiii :D I didn't even notice some of the details in Kaede's execution, the added element of her messing up a simple song makes me feel even worse. Thanks DanganOuma! 😂 (I still stand by - the bonus modes are canon and they went to Hope Bagel's peak and nothing bad happened, let me dream xD) Really loved the analysis of Kirumi's execution since i probably wouldn't have looked into the parallels myself. I kinda love that they did that because now it's not just gore for the sake of gore, there's more meaning, i think. I actually started liking her character after playing through her dates 😅 since i don't think her character was all that likable up to ch2 (even though they tried to convince us she cares about everyone.) The bonus stuff made me see her more as a person rather than just a selfless trope so rewatching her execution really brings a whole new feeling than before. I should stop rambling it's 4am. Ramble over 😂
This was a really interesting video with a lot of compelling reasoning! As for my personal favorite executions, I think my top 5 in the series would be... 1) Strand of Agony (Kirumi) 2) Der Flohwalzer (Kaede) 3) After School Lesson (Naegi/Kirigiri) 4) Blast Off! Second Ignition (Kaito) 5) Please Insert Coin (Chiaki)
One thing that I think made Kaito's execution worse is the fact that he always talked about being a hero and stuff, but he didn't get a unique execution. Instead, he got a parody of an execution that already happened, which makes it seem like he isn't good enough to be worthy of a unique or grand execution. I am a little surprised no one has really thought of this already, but that's probably because it isn't a very good theory, so please let me know if it's dumb lol
Haya Ayesh he killed tenko using something we call “seesaw effect” (hence my name). its a big meme in the fandom lol he also h a r a s s e d shuichi with a red rope in the love suite event without consent from shuichi. he also was tied with red rope in his execution heh
I think for the most messed up execution has to be Korekiyo’s. Even though his motive was awful I think that the fact that he was essentially turned into a serial killer to make things more interesting and was literally exorcised at the end of it just made things really messed up. (Unless of course I’m wrong about him not always being a crazy serial killer I’m unsure of how much was changed about the characters in universe)
I felt like these executions decreased significantly in cruelty as the game went on. The first two were by far the most evil ways of taking someone's life used in the series. The next two, while they were both pretty morbid and definitely solid executions, I didn't see as much dynamism in them as Kiyo had a lot of looping footage of wood being thrown into the fire and Gonta had the hornet chaser like bees for most of it. The final two were easily the lowest in terms of cruelty. Watching Kaito make himself throw up was a bit unsettling, but he looked at peace when he died. And Tsumugi was by far the mildest the entire series had to offer imo. She deserved far worse. The rest of the execution wasn't even that impressive either. It just showed the Keebo attacking footage for the hundredth time and just looped it showing no progressive damage on the academy itself. Seeing him blow up the wall was cool, but that's about the only positive I have. And the worst part was that everyone else lived. After Shuichi made a big deal about following through with their votes and changing the world, that was a bit of a punch in the face for me.
Tsumugi's was BY FAR the most bland and unsatisfying execution in the entire series. REALLY Kodaka? Spikcunsoft? THAT'S how you're ending the series?! (I know the company's making another game, but still. NEW DANGANRONPA V3 was the last game Kodaka was going to work on, and that was a HORRIBLE way to end things). This is one of the MANY reasons why I hate Chapter Six of this game.
+Heather Valenzano I’m so glad you feel the same. Whenever I talk about my feelings on the final case, I always get bashed by others. I had a lot of people tell me that Tsumugi’s was more satisfying than Junko’s from the first game once. I don’t understand.
The reason people say Tsumugi's death was more satisfying was exactly why you found it unsatisfying. She would have loved an elaborate death like Junko's, but having little real identity to base an execution on other than being a Danganronpa fangirl, she instead just gets a quick, "plain" death. The most thrilling thing about it is how it somewhat mirrors Kaede's execution (since Kaede was also crushed at the very end), so it's somewhat karmic. You don't have to like it, but it wasn't a mistake on Kodaka's part.
+Lyakar I guess that makes sense. The main issue I had with it was that it didn’t look like she regretted anything. She just looked like she was disappointed that her favorite TV show was cancelled. If she was bawling her eyes out, or maybe smiling while sweating profusely I probably would’ve felt differently. I just don’t think that she suffered at all by looking at her. Even Junko from the first game stopped smiling at the last minute as if finally realizing her death. This one was especially disappointing to me since the quality was declining in the executions as I mentioned earlier.
I was spoiled on the fact that Kaede would be a killer, but I had no idea when. By the time I had actually gotten around to playing the game, I had convinced myself that if the rumour was true, her murder would be the final one. So chapter one trial comes around, and I have absolutely no clue on who it could possibly be. Suddenly, I was bitch slapped by the game and then told "Surprise, fucker, youre wrong!" I was sad.
I particularly agree with you on Kaito's execution; by dying while still up in mock space, he was able to die with a smile on his face, and ultimately revoke Monokuma of his glory. It was all so beautiful, even the title card for it was dazzling!
Definitely agree with number 1, it was heartbreaking and the only time ever with a Game, or anime material to have made me cry. Also she was my favourite female character too so...
Kirumi could have escaped if she didn’t climb the vine and just kept running, Kaito could just jump up and run away (his hands and feet were untied) but Kaede couldn’t have ran
It would actually be really cool to see Weeby play Persona 5 because I’m both a Danganronpa and Persona fan so it would be very interesting to see just a Danganronpa fan how they will like Persona. Especially Weeby, a TH-camr I’ve watched for a long time, will make it a cool experience. Also since you’re a big KH fan too, when Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out would you upload a let’s play of it?
Why do you need to keep pointing out you're a Kingdom Hearts fan? Isn't it a bit irreverent, specially the amount of times you mentioned it in brackets. If it's meant as a hint for her to lets play it... Just say outright and leave it at that. Otherwise there is no point. Plus are you a fan of only three things? Because that is also what it makes it look like.
Bloodi Rose It was just a joke. I don’t actually care if she played Kingdom Hearts 3. I just said it because I know how much she likes it so I thought it would be something funny. Sorry if you didn’t see it that way.
I definitely think korekiyo should have been on here, while his ghost most likely didn’t just fly out and got salted I think it was some sort of hologram to make a point to the audience. Which is the sister was abusive and really messed him up, to the point where he thinks getting with his sister is okay (most likely a form of Stockholm syndrome) but also getting “friends” for her too. I think monokuma wanted to make that point by having the “ghost” of the sister be “oh your dead, guess i don’t need you anymore”
everyone: discussing all about the deep meaning of the story / how cool the executions are me : * going on a 3000 words essay on how amazing rantaro's eyelashes are
Ok but how did Saihara get so attached to Akamatsu...They literally knew each other for like 2-3 days and he was somehow so effected by her that he kept thinking of her throughout the whole game. She gave him some confidence in his detective work but still... It doesn't seem all that realistic.
I always thought kaitos execution was a last minute thing bc tsumugi hadn’t planned for Ouma and his bs trial. So kaitos early death and victory felt much more impactful imo
I remember how Kirumi's death destroyed my mental health for weeks lmao i couldn't stop thinking how horrible it was and how filled with despair this execution was....
I know it's a unused one but I think my favorite is Sayaka's because I really grew to like her and just imagine what it would have done to Makoto if he had to witness that. Plus I do feel it's a very creative and unique execution.
List of my danganronpa v3 favorite execution: 1. Kaede's execution I'm felt the same way that Kaede felt guilty but it wasn't her who killed Rantaro is very heart breaking. It is like it's not your fault but you're the one who get punish for something you didn't. 2. Kurekiyo's execution I think this one earn the second place because Kiyo's execution is terrifying. Let's just say that everyone who death in this game went to the after life but Kiyo disapper from existen because Monokuma and his "sister" throwed salt at him. 3. Kirumi's execution. Kirumi's execution is an execution that i extremely don't want end up in. Just think about it, climbing a vine full of spikes, acrossing mass spinning blade, and fall back to the hell. What can be worst then that? 4. Kaito's execution. I really don't expected that they will use the same execution. At first a thought that Kaito will be executed be like he trap inside a anti-gravity machine and then Monokuma throw stones inside the machine while Kaito still in the air. When all the stones were in the machine, Monokuma turn off the machine and Kaito crushed by the stones. That was at less i think. 5. Gonta's execution. I can't tell why Gonta is the last one. I think because everyone else had a better or should i say "worse" execution. And i think Gonta's execution was exually funny, the one part that Monophanie give birth to a giant bug and slice Monotaro into half. That is my list of my favorite execution in danganronpa v3.
Here's my personal favorites (series-wide): 5. After School Lesson (Just the tense atmosphere and execution (pun), also the music) 4. Strands of Agony (It fillls me with utter despair, you can't help but to put "super" in front of it. Like, super super super super despair.) 3. Please Insert Coin (Mostly the same reason as After School Lesson) 2. Blast-Off! Second Ignition (It's Kaito's victory.) 1. Cultural Melting Pot (Feels oddly satisfying, also among my favorite execution music themes due to its unique composition and catchy tune.) Special Mentions: * Destruction of the Ultimate Academy (O SHIT KEEBO'S SHOOTING UP THE SCHOOL) * Chiaki Nanami's Despair Arc execution ( *_Like super super super super super super super super despair._* )
My top 5 favourite/heartbreaking executions were: 1. Kirumi (Watching her fight for her life, ended up leading her to her death...) 2. Gonta (Gonta was my fave character, I legit cried, he will always be remembered for being a gentlemen!) 3. Celeste (I love Celeste too and I love the idea of a witch being burned at the stake) 4. Chiaki (it was heartbreaking to see such a sweet character die... She was my fave from the second game) 5. Kaede (I haven't connected with Kaede, she's not my fave character... It was still gutwrenching to watch her get killed because she failed to kill Rantaro) R.I.P all the fallen sisters and brothers that have died to Monokuma..
(Spoilers) I found the final execution a bit disappointing as well as the rest of the chapter, but the one part that I really loved was how Tsumugi cosplayed Junko and did her signature smile and wave from the first game. That made me really nostalgic.
kaito’s execution was one of my favorites because he was really badass for pissing off monokuma like that. he both accomplished his dream and died happily, making the execution fail
My favorite V3 execution will always be Korekiyo’s. Seeing his interests in culture and the macabre used to kill him, and then seeing Monokuma and Sister kill him *again* is just such a fitting way for that creepy motherfucker to go.
I think kaede died by hanging more than stones. Purely cause since they were pulling on it and moving her, by physics that would kill her faster. The stones seemed kinda like a final fuck you to me like the monocubs to the others. Just like. A final brutal part to it. They all had two things in their executions.
At first I didn't even realised that the audience was throwing stones at Kaede... She was my favorite character and when I witnessed the execution... I was speechless, terribly sad and I didn't touched the game in 1 week... I really liked her... Now I'm sad again ^^; I think that she will always be my favorite character from the all the series/games. I swear, if someone in the game could create a machine to brought them back to life, all of them, it would be amazing! Or if Tsumugi just took the students in a virtual world or some stuff to do the killing game like Junko because she's crazy so actually nobody really died but... I think I'm going to far lol
Kadeem didn’t die from the stones, she died from being hung. Since she could breathe when the piano keys went down, when they went faster she couldn’t get enough air. So, Kaede was hung to death
But I think this is even worse ;-; She was hurt by the stones all the time but didn't die from them, only had many wounds, and then she was also hung to death. I just feel soo sorry for her
I was actually pretty happy at Kaito’s execution (Don’t get me wrong, Kaito was a great character). I don’t really know how to put this in the right way, but he was about to die from his illness anyway, and he got his last dream of going to space. The timing of his execution was extremely lucky. If Maki hadn’t planned to kill Kokichi, he would of just died of his illness. The same would of happened if Kokichi hadn’t given Kaito the antidote, and every other single detail of Kokichi’s murder, Kaito would never of been able to go to space. It was honestly one of the most emotional executions out of every Danganronpa series. It was sad, but also happy. That’s why in my opinion Kaito’s death would be the top on my list. (Edit: My number two would definitely be Gonta’s Wild Wild West Insecticide execution. IT WAS SO SAD!)
My favourite execution was either Kaedes or Kirumi. Kaedes is so in depth when you do research about it. It was both mental and physical torture. Kaede would feel despair because she had to die while playing such an easy song. She was legit being hung for hours and in the most painful way. There’s a really long explanation on why it was so painful for her but that would be to long to write. Kirumi execution was so detailed and interesting to watch. You could see the despair she felt when she realised that it was a trap and that her ‘escape’ was actually her execution. You could see how desperate she was and that’s why it was so interesting to watch. Sorry for the long explanation!
oh right I'm curious, have you seen the storyboards of Kaede's execution? There's some differences in them from the actual results with a cut out scene of Shuuichi's hand actually moving and trying to grab Kaede's when she was being dragged away
Hey! I’m not sure if anyone noticed! But I’m Kaede’s Execution she lands in the white keys instead of the black ones, since flea waltz is a black key song. So it was implied that she didn’t kill Rantaro and that she was innocent
another thing about Kaede’s execution: it also parallels Leon’s death because they both died from something that came easily to them. Leon always said how he never went to baseball practice and was just naturally talented and Kaede’s execution included a beginner level song which somewhat mocked her ability as a pianist. kinda how Leon was killed by the thing he resented the most even though he loved it
I like how all three characters you mentioned had two ways to die If kirumi actually found an exit, she wouldn't get far before bleeding out and if she did get far and found an exit she'd have to sonic it to a hospital or the wounds would've gotten infected and she would've died. Kaito died from his illness, but if he didn't he would've died from his execution. Wether kaede died from being hanged or by the stones is a mystery, but if she didn't die from the rope (Pretending she did) then the stones would've done the job
I think if you remake analysis on previous characters, you should play them in the bonus V3 mode. For example, I think Hajime' and Komaeda's characters get some development in those. ^.^
Weeby Newz hit the like button before the vid even loaded
Weeby Newz 7:41 is this from the Danganronpa 3 anime?
Personally, Gonta's execution was ruined for me by the constant cutting to the Monokubs and the silly old western setting
Contemplating DDLC? Hmm..
RIP Kork. Nobody liked his execution.
Another intriguing aspect of Kaede's execution is that the song she was being forced to play is usually done on the black keys of a piano, which could symbolize her being the blackened. However, Monokuma made her play on the white keys, which could have alluded to the fact that she wasn't actually the blackened and was being framed.
That observation must've taken hours to realize. But an incredible one nonetheless.
Oh my god... it all makes sense :0 You’re a literal genius
Wow thats deep
They probably didn’t kill all the students because Tsumugi Shirogane is the mastermind and Monokuma didn’t want the mastermind to die and they had so much students so that was really weird that they didn’t execute all of them and said that Kaede was the murderer even though Tsumugi was the mastermind
Srsly fuck tsumugi

What did he wanna be?
BeatsByJunkoTM he wanted to do music
Thats not really true. Leon did actually like baseball. He was Just a Bit annoyed at being forced to Play all the time and was really tsundere about it.
Naegi Makoto thank you, but don't you think it brought Leon despair that he couldn't escape playing baseball, and an execution of baseballs killed him?
Oddcupcake Gaming I agree I'm glad you caught that about Leon because I really think people don't think about his situation enough. Of course he was the first executed but I think I love kaito so much because he was everything I wanted from Leon in 1 XD
"She is the face of v3 for me"
Yes, literally your face.
Time to face the facts she dead
I would like but the likes are 666
Your pfp though-
who is it?
I didn't even notice the stones the first couple of times I saw Kaede's execution, I always just assumed that she died from the hanging.
I dunno why, but I remember tomatoes instead lol. Maybe it’s cause of all those cliches
She died from hanging... stones were complementary I thought
She died from asphyxia and severe maceration. Part of me wants to believe that she died from the hanging FIRST, so she didn't succumb to her wounds.
I thought she died from hanging to
I believe she died from being lynched, while the stones added insult to injury, and sped up the death process. To finish it off, the spike wall falls on her dead body, leaving no remains.
I actually didn't notice kaede being stoned to death, I guess the noose just left such an impression
Mr-Mensah2002 same i looked at a comment and im like i gotta go watch it so i watched the execution again and i was like DAYUM
No! Anything but that! Her neck was already broken and died by that asphyxiation bu that point!
In fact she died from asphyxiation i read it from the wiki not stoned to death
Lmao people saying stoned makes me laugh because that’s another word for drugged up
@@ellen3536 Okay? But did you cry when you saw Kaede's execusion?

Same
My favorite execution is when they all *l i v e*
Cinnamon Roll my favorite execution is when you can't spell
You mean 11037?
Cinnamon Roll best execution
All live yeah right
Ikr!!!
Kaede obviously mirrors Leon's execution in a way. Her getting dragged away. Even the music is the same.
Korekiyo mirrors Mondo and Celeste the most (the way the camera focuses on his face as he gets twisted around by the Monokubs and then how the camera is placed above him as he sinks in the boiling pot all seem to come directly from DR1)
Kaito mirrors Jin's execution, of course and, as you say, Naegi's execution because the execution pretty much 'fails'.
Oh, god, really? :p You don't really have to. I haven't uploaded anything in ages but go ahead if you want....
All of the first executions in the games get dragged away.
Gonta's probably references Leon's because they're both tied up and shot with different things (Leon with baseballs, Gonta with bees)
@@svnnyday and also celeste because of the burning thing

I think this comment meant the ones in the top.
I'm reaching at straws here but hear me out
Kirumi's motive was caused by the motive videos and does what a flashback light does and implant false memories into the students, yet the students believe that they are remembering.
That's actually a really good theory-
Interesting. My fave was Kirumi's bc it showed how strong and determined she was. She didn't meekly accept her execution like a lot of others do. She never had a chance, but she fought to the end
Fuck Kaede's execution. I know it was supposed to be over the top but it's so brutal and unpleasant that I can't stand to watch it. No other execution bothers me like that one.
Those are my opinions anyway. This was a cool detailed vid like always. If anything the significant difference in our opinions makes it more interesting
Winged Mirage i rlly do agree with you i do like kaede but her execution was a bit to brutal to watch...
Kaede's execution is super creative but it's so cruel; I also can't watch it and it's the only one
See, Kaede’s execution being so overly brutal is the reason why it’s my favorite. Idk, I’m also a psychopath who has never cried because of a danganronpa game.
Hating on something for being for being “too brutal” is so dumb.

Yea
I read somewhere that the drawing at the end of Kirumi's death was a drawing from someone she babysat I thought that was pretty interesting.
I'm not sure where you could even find out about that
D[]XZQtionR [trooXzeQtiv] the thing is that I like to watch the executions before the actual game because it hypes me up and makes me want an explanation.
D[]XZQtionR [trooXzeQtiv] yea... but that drawing really got me curious ya know? Because when I first saw it I was like tf??
Thomas Williams me too, I thought that it had some significance, but nowhere I've seen in the text, did they even mention a drawing like that,

Space Potato He didn’t die from the spaceship, thats why it said execution failed. He died from his sickness i think.
Fun fact
That was kirigiris dad
i thought Kaede died from asphyxiation
Thegeektoendallgeeks She died from a lot of things.
though none of the stones actually hit her they emphasized her getting choked to death over getting stoned
+Thegeektoendallgeeks
There are actually some visible tears and bloodstains on her clothes right before the piano crushes her body, so it seems that the stones really did hit her. It's just unclear whether it was the stones or the strangulation that killed her.
Probably asphyxiation. The stones were probably just thrown at her to physically and emotionally hurt her while she was choking.
probably, but considering the fact Kaede was being jerked around violently it probably would've caused more strain and she'd run out of breath/ be asphyxiated quicker
My list :
1) Kirumi
2) Kaede
3) Kaito
4) Gonta
5) Ultimate Punishment
6) Korekiyo

3. Gonta (as someone with a case of entomophobia, this execution was horrible to watch)
2. Kirumi (this would have been #1 if this was just on brutality alone)
1. Kaede (Fuck You, Tsumugi!)
For the entire series:
5. Gonta
4. Celeste (The game was showing mercy in DR1. We wasn't forced to watch her get crushed, just saw the truck and the heard the sound effect of it. Still cruel tho.)
3. Chiaki (Fuck You, Nagito!)
2. Kirumi

My favorite execution is, Korekiyo Shinguji, or "Cultural Melting Pot"
Korekiyo Shinguji's was sad just because he's my favorite, and his sister was also part of what salted his ghost. I died inside when seeing his execution.
For me it was really satisfying when he died. I watched the execution and felt complete again
I cried when he got executed
It's the most brutal imo, first, he boils to death, thats oainful as fuck, his skin would be coming off because of the temperature, then he dies to see the one he loves the most and she kills him with a smile on her face

Kaede's execution is your favorite, when there are some fans out there like Minx who refuse to continue playing the game because they feel like the first execution betrayed them and was offensive.
Kudos to using the Debate Scrum theme
Weeby didn't really mention it but kirumi's death reminded me of chiaki's in a lot of ways. Like how when they thought there was an exit they both tried to escape there execution but when they got to the "exit" they both realized there was no escape.
P.S.I have a hard time choosing between Kaede's and Chiaki's execution for favorite executions and by favorite I mean which one made me cry the hardest. I think Chiaki's death really effected me the most not because not only did I love her but the game made Hajime aka us choose her. Same with kaede's but you get what I mean.
I never noticed the stones in Kaede's execution until you mentioned it I thought it was just her windpipe-
I only realised when the jumper was shown to have holes in during the aftermath
I agree with your list. I was surprised that Kiyo wasnt on the list. Where would Kiyo be on your list of V3 Executions? And Why?
Alto and Mario Main Channel Kiyos made me cry
Alto and Mario Main Channel RIP my boy Kiyo
My boi Kiyo....
I didn't expect an upload right when i was going to sleep but oooh boiiii :D
I didn't even notice some of the details in Kaede's execution, the added element of her messing up a simple song makes me feel even worse.
Thanks DanganOuma! 😂
(I still stand by - the bonus modes are canon and they went to Hope Bagel's peak and nothing bad happened, let me dream xD)
Really loved the analysis of Kirumi's execution since i probably wouldn't have looked into the parallels myself. I kinda love that they did that because now it's not just gore for the sake of gore, there's more meaning, i think. I actually started liking her character after playing through her dates 😅 since i don't think her character was all that likable up to ch2 (even though they tried to convince us she cares about everyone.)
The bonus stuff made me see her more as a person rather than just a selfless trope so rewatching her execution really brings a whole new feeling than before.
I should stop rambling it's 4am. Ramble over 😂
This was a really interesting video with a lot of compelling reasoning! As for my personal favorite executions, I think my top 5 in the series would be...
1) Strand of Agony (Kirumi)
2) Der Flohwalzer (Kaede)
3) After School Lesson (Naegi/Kirigiri)
4) Blast Off! Second Ignition (Kaito)
5) Please Insert Coin (Chiaki)
One thing that I think made Kaito's execution worse is the fact that he always talked about being a hero and stuff, but he didn't get a unique execution. Instead, he got a parody of an execution that already happened, which makes it seem like he isn't good enough to be worthy of a unique or grand execution. I am a little surprised no one has really thought of this already, but that's probably because it isn't a very good theory, so please let me know if it's dumb lol
My list for Executions for V3(IMO):
6. Shuichi, Maki, Himiko, and Tsumugi's execution and K1-B0's sacrifice
5. Korekiyo's execution
4. Kirumi's execution
3. Kaito's execution

One of the worst executions in v3
I think for the most messed up execution has to be Korekiyo’s. Even though his motive was awful I think that the fact that he was essentially turned into a serial killer to make things more interesting and was literally exorcised at the end of it just made things really messed up. (Unless of course I’m wrong about him not always being a crazy serial killer I’m unsure of how much was changed about the characters in universe)
And Gonta

It was in a different building tho? Still could be him
Weeby Queen 💓

My top is:
1- Korekiyo
2- Gonta
3- Kaito
4- Kaede
5- Kirumi
1. Kaede
2. Korekiyo
3. Kaito

Suddenly, I was bitch slapped by the game and then told "Surprise, fucker, youre wrong!"
I was sad.
The same thing happened to me... :(

I particularly agree with you on Kaito's execution; by dying while still up in mock space, he was able to die with a smile on his face, and ultimately revoke Monokuma of his glory. It was all so beautiful, even the title card for it was dazzling!
"Kaito dying by is illness in his dream *place* in *space* with a smile on his *face* ."

Definitely agree with number 1, it was heartbreaking and the only time ever with a Game, or anime material to have made me cry. Also she was my favourite female character too so...

Title:my top 3 executions in danganronpa v3
*starts off with SDR2 executions*
YEEESSS
I agree. I want to see who she thinks the best boy is!
Hey Ashe, I love you! (My favourite games are Danganronpa and Kingdom Hearts)

Gontas execution is in my top three but only because I literally hated Monokuma SO MUCH when he laughed after Gontas death
I loved your list and how in detail you where with your reasons why you liked the executions! Its awesome seeing you again Weeby!
Ok but how did Saihara get so attached to Akamatsu...They literally knew each other for like 2-3 days and he was somehow so effected by her that he kept thinking of her throughout the whole game. She gave him some confidence in his detective work but still... It doesn't seem all that realistic.
Yeah I don't really understand either.
Because tsumugi wrote the plotline to be this way duh
I always thought kaitos execution was a last minute thing bc tsumugi hadn’t planned for Ouma and his bs trial. So kaitos early death and victory felt much more impactful imo
I remember how Kirumi's death destroyed my mental health for weeks lmao i couldn't stop thinking how horrible it was and how filled with despair this execution was....
1:00 If only I had money
I know it's a unused one but I think my favorite is Sayaka's because I really grew to like her and just imagine what it would have done to Makoto if he had to witness that. Plus I do feel it's a very creative and unique execution.
Chiaki's execution will always be #1 for me.
Rip Kaede 😭😭😭😭😭
kaede's my personal favorite because it made me cry at 7am when i had gotten no sleep at all
nice to get to know your opinion on these!
List of my danganronpa v3 favorite execution:
1. Kaede's execution
I'm felt the same way that Kaede felt guilty but it wasn't her who killed Rantaro is very heart breaking. It is like it's not your fault but you're the one who get punish for something you didn't.
2. Kurekiyo's execution
I think this one earn the second place because Kiyo's execution is terrifying.
That is my list of my favorite execution in danganronpa v3.
my favorite from this game is
1: Kaito
2: Kaede
3: Korekiyo
4: kirumi
5: Gonta
6: ultimate
I like them all but I found the final one kinda boring
That's the point, it's supposed to be boring
D[]XZQtionR [trooXzeQtiv] Lol because Tsumugi is so plain
SkullGurl 123 the final wasn't even really an execution to me. But fuck gontas execution man. The whole thing was bs
Here's my personal favorites (series-wide):
5. After School Lesson (Just the tense atmosphere and execution (pun), also the music)
4. Strands of Agony (It fillls me with utter despair, you can't help but to put "super" in front of it. Like, super super super super despair.)
3. Please Insert Coin (Mostly the same reason as After School Lesson)
2. Blast-Off! Second Ignition (It's Kaito's victory.)
1. Cultural Melting Pot (Feels oddly satisfying, also among my favorite execution music themes due to its unique composition and catchy tune.)
Special Mentions:
* Destruction of the Ultimate Academy (O SHIT KEEBO'S SHOOTING UP THE SCHOOL)
* Chiaki Nanami's Despair Arc execution ( *_Like super super super super super super super super despair._* )
It's interesting how Kirumi always said "This is my selfless devotion" when her execution was based on a selfish man.
I like Korekiyo’s execution because it’s just so funny.
My top 5 favourite/heartbreaking executions were:
1. Kirumi (Watching her fight for her life, ended up leading her to her death...)
2. Gonta (Gonta was my fave character, I legit cried, he will always be remembered for being a gentlemen!)
3. Celeste (I love Celeste too and I love the idea of a witch being burned at the stake)
4. Chiaki (it was heartbreaking to see such a sweet character die... She was my fave from the second game)
5. Kaede (I haven't connected with Kaede, she's not my fave character... It was still gutwrenching to watch her get killed because she failed to kill Rantaro)
R.I.P all the fallen sisters and brothers that have died to Monokuma..
Honestly, i feel like for kiruni's execution could be more despair inducing if that /was/ the actual exit, but the string broke. Idk why
(Spoilers) I found the final execution a bit disappointing as well as the rest of the chapter, but the one part that I really loved was how Tsumugi cosplayed Junko and did her signature smile and wave from the first game. That made me really nostalgic.
*cry in corner* I can't believe they die why just why
kaito’s execution was one of my favorites because he was really badass for pissing off monokuma like that. he both accomplished his dream and died happily, making the execution fail
4:44
You know I’m wondering if the short story her execution was based off is why her outfit has some spider web designs
If it was legal and I had after school class, on the last couple slices before it squashed me, I'd be screaming my lungs out!
I just realized each Danganronpa game (1,2 and 3) first execution (Which is Leon, Teruteru and Kaede) all of them were pulled by chains
I never knew this and now Kaede’s execution matters to me a lot and Kaito’s I kinda knew but now it being kinda explained more it kinda hurts more
V3:
7: Hiroto Hyakuta
6: Korekiyo Shinguuji
5: Zanbi Toujo
4: Keebo/Kiibo
3: Tsumigi Shiragane
2: Gonta Gokuhara
1: Kaede Akamatsu
oh right I'm curious, have you seen the storyboards of Kaede's execution? There's some differences in them from the actual results with a cut out scene of Shuuichi's hand actually moving and trying to grab Kaede's when she was being dragged away
Kaito and Kaedes exercutions where the ones that made me cry. Which shows how impactful those characters are
6:27 actually what killed Jin kirigi was that he got carbonised because the rocket heated too much on the way up and heated even more on the way down
Leon always said how he never went to baseball practice and was just naturally talented and Kaede’s execution included a beginner level song which somewhat mocked her ability as a pianist. kinda how Leon was killed by the thing he resented the most even though he loved it
I like how all three characters you mentioned had two ways to die
If kirumi actually found an exit, she wouldn't get far before bleeding out and if she did get far and found an exit she'd have to sonic it to a hospital or the wounds would've gotten infected and she would've died.
