honestly this. One of the best moments for me in BB universe is when he showed up at the end of BCS episode 1. I literally gasped. I was so excited also so scared for Jimmy. We know how dangerous Tuco is. Loved that actor. Loved this series.
It's funny seeing Tuco, a street level punk that thinks he's the biggest mover in the southwest, get outplayed by Mike, some geezer who'd go on to be the right hand man/top enforcer of the biggest mover in the southwest.
I like how Mike pretended to be a helpless old guy, but when he effortlessly slapped the gun out of Tuco's grasp, not to mention how firmly he grabbed Tuco's shirt like that, that right there showed Mike was someone you didn't want to mess with, even though he was probably at least 30 years older than his opponent. If Mike had actually fought back, he may have not beaten Tuco, merely due to his age, but I have a feeling Tuco would've been sent to the hospital under intensive care, instead of jail. That old dog can still bite!
they show Mike to be ridiculously effective in close-quarters combat in other scenes (the scene with 'Trevor' from GTA, some homeboys try to mug him when he's plastered and he breaks one's arm with his bare hands)
Anyone wondering why the police randomly showed up, it's because he called them from a telephone reporting a fight at the restaurant. He then proceeded to make it seems like Tuco beat him up. What a legend
Yeah, they gotta at least show him being released in preparation for the events of breaking bad. They'd be crazy not to have him in the last season even for a little bit.
Don't forget that Tuco is with Hector in BB. I assume after Tuco gets out he "calmy" and "politely" will get Hector out of his room. If they use the same angle as in BB outside the window (you know what I mean) that would be excellent foreshadowing for what's to come down the line.
@@ce3zy361 I'd like to see how he interacts with Gus. We never really got to see that in Breaking Bad and just because Tuco is so unpredictable at times I'd be surprised how he managed to show restraint with someone like Gus Fring who his family literally all hate

Tuco was such a great character. He was terrifying, but he had charisma and he was always so much fun to watch. Raymond Cruz did an amazing job in that role!
He did, didn't he? Though, I remember somewhere that the role was kinda harmful to him or something. Probably the stress of having to play such a hard character.
That's honestly the most terrifying part about Tuco. It would be one thing if he was always on psycho mode. But the dude can go from 0 to a 100 in a second and you have no idea what is going to set him on
Imo it's because Tuco wants to establish dominance before revealing the crazy. When he establishes dominance, the crazy is intimidating, otherwise he might be laughed at or disrespected

It's funny seeing Tuco, a street level punk that thinks he's the biggest mover in the southwest, get outplayed by Mike, some geezer who'd go on to be the right hand man/top enforcer of the biggest mover in the southwest.
Mike is the top enforcer of the TWO biggest movers in the southwest, Gus Fring and Heisenberg.
@@pranavtripathi6336 tuco is mid level at his lowest. He’s a Salamanca after all
@@gokhanclips1806 I'm talking about Mike being the top enforcer of two of the biggest movers in southwest which is Gustavo Fring and Walter White
Are you saying I got punked?
Mike was just a lapdog on payroll. Tuco was always the head of his operation.
Tuco trying his absolute best to keep his composure but slowly breaking throughout the scene is comedy gold
And in Breaking Bad, Tuco didn’t give a damn about composure. He was way calmer here, I guess prison changed him.
0:34 The nervous and awkward smile from Nacho is awesome. LOL
That's such a nice detail to catch
I like how Mike pretended to be a helpless old guy, but when he effortlessly slapped the gun out of Tuco's grasp, not to mention how firmly he grabbed Tuco's shirt like that, that right there showed Mike was someone you didn't want to mess with, even though he was probably at least 30 years older than his opponent.
If Mike had actually fought back, he may have not beaten Tuco, merely due to his age, but I have a feeling Tuco would've been sent to the hospital under intensive care, instead of jail.
That old dog can still bite!
Mike would easily dispatch Tuco. You saw what he did to the character Mike Og played in an earlier episode
they show Mike to be ridiculously effective in close-quarters combat in other scenes (the scene with 'Trevor' from GTA, some homeboys try to mug him when he's plastered and he breaks one's arm with his bare hands)
The old man grip is real!
Got that old man strength
The actor is playing a character 20 years younger. Dream on.
Anyone wondering why the police randomly showed up, it's because he called them from a telephone reporting a fight at the restaurant. He then proceeded to make it seems like Tuco beat him up. What a legend
very likely
@@johndonovan7018 I think it actually happens in the episode, but it’s not included in this clip.
Tuco better be in Season 6. Raymond Cruz is just way too good.
I believe he'll come back and kill Varga, unless Lalo manages to do it first
@@arushh42 No man no why nacho
That "aw come on guys" is the most expressive thing that Mike ever said.
Can you imagine if Mike had offered Tuco his insurance information, and Tuco said "sounds good, let's exchange insurance information, who's got a pen? There you go, have a good day!" That would have thrown Mike for a loop.
@@IgorNVHe also didn’t like playing such a crazy and evil person. I think his girlfriend also didn’t like it.
mike wasnt really scary to begin with in my opinion. if they left out his warm caring and family oriented side out maybe
@@BananaRama1312 the original comment didn’t mention Mike..?
All Salamancas have an x-factor
Tuco started out very respectful.
Kinda weird to see that tbh haha
He was relatively very calm when he was not high on stuff.
“you see that car? you parked your piece of shit next to it”
That's honestly the most terrifying part about Tuco. It would be one thing if he was always on psycho mode. But the dude can go from 0 to a 100 in a second and you have no idea what is going to set him on
“See Mr Magoo here”
Mike knew exactly how to motivate Tuco's insanity to puncture his usually infallible respect for the elderly.
3:20 You can tell that Nacho is giving Mike a look of urgency, curiosity and worry that states “You’re going a long way to not pull that trigger.” Lol
Mike truly is one of the characters of this show.
He is, in fact, a character in this show

Not even just look at the way he throws this punch... 4:21
Brilliant writing by Chase.
I cant believe vince gilligan made breaking bad, better call saul, AND the sopranos. How can one guy be so talented?
He threw a couple or tree punches, that's all.
Damn, the way Tuco approached Mike... He was really respectful and polite (in his own ways of course). He respects the elderly!
Its incredible to see Tuco as respectful towards elders as he was in the first moment
I am actually amazed at how restrained (relatively speaking) Tuco is here in, of all things, a situation where someone is _trying_ to aggravate him.
Imo it's because Tuco wants to establish dominance before revealing the crazy. When he establishes dominance, the crazy is intimidating, otherwise he might be laughed at or disrespected
Maybe because Mike is a complete stranger to him.
2:27 Nacho's lucky day. It could have been an early "are you saying that I'm stupid" scene.
He has a lot more respect for nacho

Nacho was Tuco's right hand man so he's qualified to speak for him. No Doze was just an idiot lol
Right before this scene Tuco says "That guy just hit my car" almost sounded like a innocent child, it felt so real like this guys plays a bad boy so well that deep inside is just this innocent boy protected by this beast on the outside
"Aw, come on guys" that line delivery gets me every time
Not as much as the "let's just stay calm here" line gets me
Man Tuco was so well-acted. Really immersive performance
I laugh every time he says “check out Mr. Magoo here” 😆
Me too! Even as I didn't know who Mr. Magoo was. I then Googled Mr. Magoo and it made it 20 times funnier. lol
I remember watching Better Call Saul on Sunday nights before middle school on Monday morning. I still enjoy re-watching it in my senior citizen retirement home.
really felt like an eternity between season 5 and 6 right? I liked El Camino but I don't think it was worth it to delay Better Call Saul for it
Now you know how a senior citizen would feel having to face Tuco.
3:51 I love how casually he tosses Mikes car keys
Lmao
they just start levitating
This is probably the most calm Tuco could be in a situation like this. Also mikes a great actor
4:23 I love the "punched out" vision! A very creative cinematic resource
Imagine if Tuco accepted the insurance deal😂
Mike would have manouvered that car to make more than a dent on Tuco's. Same outcome.
Tuco’s car is stolen and Mike knows it
Imagine if the cops came a few minutes sooner.
*roll credits* "Directed by Vince Gilligan"
Tuco could have called Saul to sue the sh* out of Mike. 😜 And Saul would've had to play along, pretending not to know Mike.
Mike was already a great character in Breaking Bad but after watching Better Call Saul i love him even more!
3:07 I think it rubs Tuco the wrong way when a bald guy tells him to stay calm.
I think it's because he doesn't like being calmed down.
Mike held onto Tuco tight tight tight yeah!
Brilliant...
3:14 you see mike taking a half-step and Tuco reacting to it.
Unconsciously he is unsure wether Mike poses a real threat.
At least Tuco was being polite in the beginning. You could see he was trying to solve this peacefully.
@0:54 it's always fun to see good actors deliberately doing bad acting as part of their roles.
2:38 i love how Nacho's nervousness shows off behing Tucos back. How he can't stand still and looks at his watch waiting for cops
Ya and there’s a couple points where I think he legitimately fears for Mike’s safety when he pushes buttons because Tuco is that dangerously unpredictable.
"Hehehehehe you see me sweating bitch?" has gotta be one of my favourite Tuco lines. Raymond Cruz acts the role so damn well
The moment of silence followed by the laugh and punch at the end always gets me. Tuco is the real biznatch.
Imagine how awkward it would be if Tuco was actually reasonable
"We can exchange insurances"
"Oh that can work too"
I like how mike was holding himself back from completely destroying Tuco by grabbing onto the pole.
He did it so he wouldn't fall
@@aboithatsaboi182 I think he did it because if he hits Tuco back, it's a fight rather than assault. Mike clearly wanted to give Tuco a run for his money but if he did, the plan would be at risk for failing. They wanted to get Tuco behind bars for as long as possible

When Mike says "that all you got?" his health bar is still at 80%
That was just his first phase.
I love how classic Mike starts to slip out until his keys get stolen and he's like "Oh, right. I'm helpless."
I love both how Mike asks him if that’s all he’s got to humiliate him before he’s arrested and the animal instinct Tuco possesses to give him one last blast to the face and laugh about it.
That was so the cops would witness a felony and he wouldnt have to testify
I actually kind of like how alert Tuco is when Mike is reaching for his wallet. Really shows his street smarts and how even he wasn’t willing to underestimate Mike reaching for his pockets.
Can wait for the next season, this show has been great and deserves to have numbers like Breaking Bad.
One and half week away from it :D
the fact that mike could just break both tuco's arms right there within seconds but doesn't and tuco has no idea is just incredible
Lol, no. Mike can't beat tuco hand to hand. But he sure has the power to kill tuco later.
Mike can handle a gun, and knows how to exploit people's weaknesses, but at the end of the day he is an old man, and no superhero. In a fair fist fight, Tuco would crush Mike in a heartbeat.
They're both tough in their own right. Knowing Mike he wouldn't leave it to hand to hand.
@@RAJ_K_ Are you serious? Mike would filet Tuco in hand to hand combat. He just tanked 5 of Tuco's punches, those same punches that literally killed a man in BB season 1.
