this is pure joy, just look at their faces, makes me so happy... i just hope to have that same smile while playing my guitar and singing to whoever is there to listen in 40 years, then ill know my job here is done!
Sounds fantastic! Have no clue what these other people are commenting on. Not many bands can hold up like this. Sounds remarkably close to 45+ years ago. I am stunned that they're this good all these years later.
In context I’m 36 years old and Colin blunstone was born the same year my retired grandad was born. To still sound the way he and rod argent does shows how greater talents they are. I much prefer this era of music than my own era hands down.
WOW - great version - love seeing the band doing their stuff - just totally amazing musicians - timeless. These guys were the Beatles favourites back in the day :-)
At first I thought 'wow guys, that's rough as a bear's rse', but considering it's just an impromptu set-up and they must now be in their 70's it's absolutely brilliant! Even more amazing it's in the original key! I can't sing the high parts in songs I used to sing and I often have to go down an octave, but Colin still just breezes it.
Holy Frackin' Got Damned Hell this is incredible. Came here after listening to the Elliott Smith cover. Blown away. What a great name, Zombies, being so great now when they're "old" (I assume the wrote this year's ago when they weren't so grey).
Excelente. De esta tremenda banda inglesa de sicodelia , recomiendo : The Zombies - Time of the season The Zombies - She´s not there The Zombies - Beechwood park The Zombies - Tell her no The Zombies - Care of cell 44 Saludos desde Chile , Sudamérica.
Sadly Jim Rodford (bass player) died after a fall in 2018. His son, Steve, continues to drum for the Zombies. And Colin Blunstone is 77 (born in June 1945).
His voice isn't youthful any more but possesses far more timbre which compensates for that loss of youthful quality. Some issues with delivery but that's a respiratory issue, Collin's got to be what - in his 70s? Pretty great performance over all I'd say. He's definitely had some kind of operatic vocal coaching though and it shows! I don't know much about this band though so maybe my comments are irrelevant 🤷
In this performance the singer and keyboard player are original, the rest are replacements. The original guitarist passed away some years ago, but the original bassist and drummer are still alive. The remaining living members HAVE done tours together recently, but this isn't that lineup.
Colin is over singing this: he's lost his dynamic breathiness (which was always a huge part of his vocal charm) and replaced it with an annoyingly huge vibrato. Bad tradeoff. We'll always have the recording though...
Greetings Aaron! Minister of objective truths and good taste, Carlos Weed, here to inform you that, unfortunately for you, the entirety of your statement is incredibly and impressively incorrect. Please refrain from ever speaking or expressing your thoughts again, as this would lower the quality of life for everyone around you. Thanks!
Have to respectfully disagree. I think Odessey and Oracle is a perfect album start to finish, including Care of Cell 44. 12 tracks, all hits, no filler. That said, like you, I used to only like a couple of their songs, and recently revisited the Zombies and fell in love with the entirety of Odessey and Oracle. It's weird how certain bands or albums hit differently at a later point in life.
One of the best albums (Oddessy and Oracle) produced period.
I think it was number 100 on Rolling Stones top 500 all time. So yeah, definitely
I think he sounds good for his age. And he can still hit the high notes. Even if it's not perfect, it's still really cool to see them playing again.
this is pure joy, just look at their faces, makes me so happy... i just hope to have that same smile while playing my guitar and singing to whoever is there to listen in 40 years, then ill know my job here is done!
Imagine being at their age and still completely rocking it
Most old people aren't this cool
I seen them around this time 7 years ago and they rock hard as fuck.
@@thedreamsupreme100 *’ve seen. I hate “I seen.”
Should be ‘ I saw them’
You’re welcome

I didn't get why they were called the Zombies back then but they're starting to look the part.
theyve aged like fine wine really amazing
Older, deeper, rougher, but damn they still got it!
Could you imagine being young when this was popular? These guys are still amazing. F'n A
"Watching the laughter play around your eyes " .....what a lyric
Man, the lead singer holds up on those high notes! Well done!
Damn. The guy can hit those notes. He has to be 70

They're old! Being able to hit those high notes still is pretty amazing.
This is incredible in the best possible way.

Colin Should Throw Some Reverb Into His Vocals.
As English as afternoon tea
el rafa di zeo en la bateria
vox sound a lil different but still great
txteabagger that's what 40+ years do to someone.

si mezclas al tecladista y el cantante tenes a mostaza merlo.
tu eres mu tonto...y lo sabes
idek
Colin sounds strong on the lead but man those backup vocals need some work.
damn these guys look like actual zombies now... and sing like 'em too
ron bergeron oh dang! Snap! Haha.
Get out
Hmm. Theyre 70 and havent dropped a note. What are you up to?
Fuck you troll

He’s more than 70 years old ,son.
è brutto quando tirano fuori le mummie dagli ospizi

unfortunately voice is the only instrument you cannot replace :/ I love this song, but this is torture to listen to :(
Sorry this song kinda sucks. It's no Time Of The Season or She's Not There that I love

drugs are bad, mmmmkay.
Unbearably sad. Brilliant song, dreadful execution.
They should've dropped it a step...drummer sucks too
You should keep your meanspirited thoughts to yourself
