While the army of the dead theory is possible, Thrawn is scarier as an effective leader who genuinely inspires fansticism in his troops. After all, Thrawn kept the ship together all this time and seems to be getting them home. Besides, in the books he treats his troops well, rewarding merit and seemingly creating something like the Empire's least toxic work environment.
I definitely find the "cult of Thrawn" theory better than them all being resurrected corpses. It's pretty evident that the cargo their moving are dead nightsisters/nightbrothers that Thrawn and the mothers want to unleash on the galaxy. It would be more interesting if the remaining troopers are enhanced w the nightsister magic similar to Savage Opress
Thrawn’s deal with the Night Sisters was maybe to give the souls of his stormtroopers in exchange for their magic. They needed the souls to feed on, he needed their magic.
I like it and will add the possibility that Thrawn, Ezra, AND all the stormtroopers died when they exited hyperspace. The witches recovered them and brought them all back to life with the understanding that they will get whatever they want from these people now. They enlist Thrawn to get them out of the Galaxy under the threat of taking their lives away, and if they die, they all die because they cannot control the spell. This will be important later as Ashoka will have to make the hard choice of killing the Night Sisters knowing that Ezra also can’t live without their magic. Eventually she will kill them and make the sacrifice. Therefore, Thrawn and Ezra and everyone else will be gone and will never have to interrupt the current cannon of StarWars.

Captain Enoch’s (Wes Chatham) helmet and armor definitely reminds me of an Imperial Tank Trooper version of Mordred's suit of golden armor from Excalibur (1981). I definitely agree that it’s reminiscent of the Roman cavalry helmet.

I hope something like that happens and that Ahsoka gets to be in that Rey rebuilding the Jedi Order-film. But we'll see. I have a super crazy theory that Sabine and Ezra, after having survived attempts on their life, sneak onto the Chimera, in Rebels fashion, disguised as guards (a nice call back to the animated series) while Ahsoka confronts Thrawn in person. Thrawn prevails temporarily, and Ahsoka gets left behind. But this is ultimately how Sabine and Ezra will return to their own galaxy, undetected for the most part. Maybe they will come across the temple remains on the Chimera, and somehow both being able to enter the world between worlds, this time with Sabine, which somehow unblocks Sabine's Jedi power. It might be too much to ask for 2 world between worlds events in the series. But something is blocking her power and she needs her own Dagobah cave experience. Just a crazy theory. Moreover, I think it will be Ezra who helps Sabine become unblocked before she is reunited with Ahsoka. Another theory is that Sabine encounters the Bendu and that's how she unlocks her force power.

I think the nomads are Darthomir males who are either exhiled or mutated or degenerated and no longer loyal to the night sisters. Their attacks on the night sisters would account for the small numbers of night sisters and the damage to Thrawn's forces.
Ahh i see what youre saying. In the star wars universe, there was only sisters and they ditch the actual males species on peridia. Once they got to the new universe, they decided that zabrak males were the strongest, thus used them for breeding. So thats why the actual males are their own bandits, roving the lands, attacking the nightsisters that was left behind on peridia.
The theories about the storm troopers sounds like it's worth exploring but with only a few episodes left, I doubt that's what the focus will be. Too much to cover and loose threads to snip with Ezra, Thrawn, Ahsoka, Sabine, Skoll and Shin.
Thrawn wants to use the dark magicks for the artifacts that are on the ship. Those artifacts are also what Baylan senses connecting and amplifying what's there on the planet Peridia. That something is also connected to the increasing concentration of Jedi (and perhaps the Bendu too).
I think Thrawn is the antagonist for this series/season at least, but I think sooner or later he's going to team up with the good guys (though not necessarily the New Republic) and go down with self-sacrifice. There's probably a bigger, scarier threat out there, something dangerous to life itself or something.
If Ezra and Thrawn both survived the trip to Peridia, I'm not sure why all those Storm Troopers would've perished and would've needed to be reanimated... :shrugs:
Thrawn also looks after his troops, doesn't see them as disposable units like most leadership did. Not sure if that's Legends or Canon, but definitely somewhere. I don't think the troops are dead, I think they serve a different purpose and thus are Nighttroopers.

I'm not so sure that the Dathomiri are from this new galaxy. If they were the first to use the Purrgil and the Purrgil travel there to die, how would they travel in the opposite direction? Perhaps the Nightsisters are the remains of a group who settled there and now they want to return home. Maybe their exit has something to do with what Baylan seeks. Being from the original galaxy would also explain why they recognise the reek of jedi on Sabine.
I believe the night sisters need to get to Dathomere for the magical substance so they can resurrect their dead and repopulate, since they are almost all extinct.

They are broken and put back together, held together with nightsister magic. It's like an army of Marroks. It's like Aragorn's undead army. One of many LOTR parallels.

I think they disable the Eye Sion in some way that will delay the return of Thrawn and Ahsoka's whale went there to die, so no help from space whales at this time, making a delay in getting back for now. BECAUSE! Baylan's big bad power will show up and they will need to group up and go against the ..... Rakata! This is my far-fetched theory, but I believe that the "greater power" Baylan speaks of is a figure like Hecate, but not necessarily the Goddess from Greek mythology, but Hecate from Macbeth, something the Great Mothers (the 3 witches) looks up to, and may also fear. Baylan could be the Macbeth of Star Wars being manipulated by something higher than the witches. Something is clearly drawing him into this new galaxy, something that Shin Hati, Thrawn, Morgan Elsbeth, the Great Mothers and even Ahsoka doesn't see (possibly Ezra too, but Ezra hasn't encountered Baylan yet, but we could see that in the future episodes). Ezra or even Ahsoka could play the role of Macduff from the story of Macbeth. Thrawn plays the role of Duncan, he is the "king" of this new galaxy, but I doubt Thrawn will have the same fate as Duncan. I can't predict how Ahsoka season 1 will end, but I doubt Thrawn is dying.
I think Enoch is a droid, or at least someone who's being kept alive cybernetically. There is a moment where you see underneath his armor and it looks like C-3PO like wires and stuff

When Ezra was in world between worlds maybe that wasnt the actial Ahsoka. She wasnt a force ghost. He didnt change the past. AHSOKA didnt get saved by Ezra. His memory of Ahsoka who he only thought was dead helped him reconcile his fear and regrets about Kanan's sacrifice. This helped him move on and make his own sacrifice to save his planet and friends. Neither Ahsoka nor Vader died in the sith temple collapse.
We are aware that the Stormtroopers armors has been broken/smashed and merged with Kintsugi. Since it would be a miracle to survive for the soldiers whose armor was broken like this. We can assume that they are all dead. Now the real question is what kind of power shattered these armors. Since the Grate Mothers were able to ride the Space whales in Peridea, they were aware that Peridea was the last stop of no return. I think Peridea is a planet of isolation. a kind of prison. and the power here is the guardian of the prison.
I don’t think the night troopers are re-animated, Thrawn states that his army had been depleted, but why would it be getting smaller if they could re-animate fallen soldiers?
I feel like they are going to end up battling it out on Peridea and not get back to the main universe until after the sequel trilogy is done. This would explain their absences there and would set thrown up to be the new big bad for the next movies. I dont think Bailen and Shin will make it though.

Thrawn reminds me of Gaius Julius Caesar, or Marcus Ulpius Traianus. Self contained. Single-minded. Tactically brilliant. And… ICE cold.

Considering Morgan Elsbeth was talking about "whispers across space and TIME", are we sure that their travelling across galaxies is in linear time ?? how many of the Ahsoka characters are mentioned or appear in the final trilogy? could they have travelled back or forward in time ??

This is my far-fetched theory, but I believe that the "greater power" Baylan speaks of is a figure like Hecate, but not necessarily the Goddess from Greek mythology, but Hecate from Macbeth, something the Great Mothers (the 3 witches) looks up to, and may also fear. Baylan could be the Macbeth of Star Wars being manipulated by something higher than the witches. Something is clearly drawing him into this new galaxy, something that Shin Hati, Thrawn, Morgan Elsbeth, the Great Mothers and even Ahsoka doesn't see (possibly Ezra too, but Ezra hasn't encountered Baylan yet, but we could see that in the future episodes). Ezra or even Ahsoka could play the role of Macduff from the story of Macbeth. Thrawn plays the role of Duncan, he is the "king" of this new galaxy, but I doubt Thrawn will have the same fate as Duncan. I can't predict how Ahsoka season 1 will end, but I doubt Thrawn is dying.

1. Explain where Thrawn was before HttE.
2. Explain where these characters were during the sequels.
Enoch may be Thrawn's only living storm trooper left alive (Enoch being the only living human to pass into Heaven alive & never tasting the kiss of death)...the others may be all dead & possibly later found to be serving the Night Sisters (actually) by the end of it.

When Ezra was in world between worlds maybe that wasnt the actial Ahsoka. She wasnt a force ghost. He didnt change the past. AHSOKA didnt get saved by Ezra. His memory of Ahsoka who he only thought was dead helped him reconcile his fear and regrets about Kanan's sacrifice. This helped him move on and make his own sacrifice to save his planet and friends. Neither Ahsoka nor Vader died in the sith temple collapse.
We are aware that the Stormtroopers armors has been broken/smashed and merged with Kintsugi. Since it would be a miracle to survive for the soldiers whose armor was broken like this. We can assume that they are all dead. Now the real question is what kind of power shattered these armors. Since the Grate Mothers were able to ride the Space whales in Peridea, they were aware that Peridea was the last stop of no return. I think Peridea is a planet of isolation. a kind of prison. and the power here is the guardian of the prison.
