I saved your 2 Potty Training/Crate Training videos to prepare for the arrival of our first Toy Poodle this Saturday. I plan to set it up on a corner in my 2 and 1/2 yr old Bichon’s bedroom. That way she won’t feel alone. And it will be easier for me to keep an eye on her.
Love your videos! Do you have any tips for crate placement in the home? What area would work best for the initial training (high or low traffic areas) and can I eventually move it? Thanks for sharing all the helpful info ❤️
Hi! Thank you for your kind message! Hmm, personally, I'd start out in low traffic areas of the home, let's say, the dirty kitchen or your room. Just 1 confined area in the house first. Personally, I always do it in my room :)
Hi thanks for your wonderful videos❤ It's just that I can't fully understand how you combine and use crate training and pad training together. Can you please make a more detailed video on this form of pottytraining?
Hi there! Thank you so much! Have you checked out part 1 of this video? th-cam.com/video/jbnxc-1VYhM/w-d-xo.html Let me know if this illustrates it a bit better? >_
Can you talk about potty training a toy poodle while having to work 8-9 hours couple times a week? I am finding so much conflicting information as far as using just crate vs using playpen and indoor potty spot inside playpen. Some people say it works, some people say it confuses the dog. Also, at night you recommend waking them up for potty or let them wake you up?
Hi Lana! This is a sound idea for a video! I'll add it to the list. Hmm, in my opinion, these all happen all at the same time, which is why it gets confusing for most people. I wake them up to potty as puppies. Now that they are older, they wake me up if they can't hold it anymore XD
not doing crate training, just have the 4 week old puppies until they are 8 weeks old and find their fur ever homes. Any potty training tips for litter of 5
Hi there, my toy poodle is 1 year old now. I crate train him already. Tried to potty pad train him and he either forgot most of time to use the pad and probably have 1 or 2 successful attempts when he was a puppy. I now train him to use outside. But it get a huddle when it rains he doesn’t want to pee or poop outside but use it in the house. Plus I can’t walk him for 3 times a day for him to potty. Now I want to pad train him all over again. Can you give some advice? And where can I have the schedule for potty training? I can’t seem to find the schedule. Lol tysm!!
The end result I want to pee on the pad when we can’t take him out on time or when it rains and he doesn’t like to go out on rainy days he can know he have a pee pad to use. I want him to use the pee pad and also use it outside when time/weather permits. Lol
Hi can you do a video on how to crate train I got my puppy yesterday and I’ve watched this video a hundred times and still feel frustrated on how to start 😞😭
Hi Poodle Mom! Do u mind if i ask some tips about my puppy? She can and always pee on the pad if she's in the fence/crate. but when she's outside the fence she pees everywhere even tho there's pad near her. Do u know how to make her go back to her fence/crate when she wants to potty? Thankyou so much.
Hi Lauren! I think this means it is too early for you to release her in too big a space and she doesn't completely understand where she needs to go just yet. It may also mean that there are areas of your house which has the smell of her pee already hence, she keeps going back. It's a little hard to give you an educated feedback because I do not know the complete picture but I hope this helps!
Hi... I have been trying to potty train my 2 n half month puppy. He refuses to pee on the pee pads inside the pen. He either whines or just sleeps inside the pen and then the second I pull him out of the pen he will pee anywhere in the house. We live an apartment so taking him out every 2 hrs isnt possible.
Ok, I dont have much info about your situation- but I see one common problem here, you give in to him when he whines. You have to make that hard sacrifice of not letting him out when he cries. He will be let out when he calms down and waits.
I’ve used them before but never really understood how they actually help and support potty training. To be fair though, I never truly maximized the use of potty sprays because I found the method I use to be better. So I never had the need for potty training sprays thus saving more money in the process as well. But if you are talking about potty sprays to rid of pee smell and stains. I don’t have enough words to recommend Pure Paw’s Starline No Rinse Shampoo :) I have linked them all in the description boxes of most of our videos!
@@elenismaragda. Nope! It's never too late, the only difference is that in your case it may take a lot more effort than when you started it out this way right away ^^

Regularly take them to where their mom potty’s. That’s what we did to my friend’s litter of pups. It worked 🤣

It will affect potty training depending on how you use it.

Again: Cage/crate training is cruel and banned in many European countries. PETA also doesn’t support this insane, lazy, cruel method.
