IT WORKS NOW!!! BMW 535i F10 Launch Control Coding With BimmerCode & How to Use It!

- In this video I use BimmerCode app to code launch control on my BMW 535i F10. If you don't have Sport+ on your BMW F10 5 series (or any F-Series BMW) you will need to code it.
DTC is traction 'mode'. in this mode the car works to keep power to the wheels in case of slip. (for snow, slush, or lead feet with big engines)
DSC is stability 'mode'. in this mode the car works to remove power from the wheels in the case of slip, and retain stability through yaw control.
It's not possible to have both dtc and dsc enabled, because they are 'opposite' control modes for the same system. this is why the ride selector has (sport+ w/dtc), as it's sport+ with traction mode (instead of stability mode).
pushing the dtc button once switchs from dsc (stability mode) to dtc (traction mode).
Holding down for three seconds disables dtc and dsc.

Just got my f10 535i m sport & your videos been helpful !
Thanks brotha. I do it for comments like these 🙌🙌🙌
Nice!

Can you have bimmer code and MHD on your car at the same time? I just purchased a OBDlink cx adapter for the bimmer codes but also have the MHD adapter otw also can both be used or do they serve the same purpose?
Yes you can! I’ve had it
Hi, I've watched many of your videos about the Bimmer Code and I was wondering if there's a such a thing to code for getting out from manual mode quickly and get back to automatic mode without flickering the actual shifter or waiting until the car does it on it's onw. Like Mercedes and Audi, they just have to hold the right shift paddle (up shifter) for like 0.5 seconds to go back to automatic mode. Please help me!! Thanks
Hey I’m not aware of Bimmer code function like that . I don’t think you can accomplish this with Bimmer code :/
@@BIMMERLEAGUE ah okay thanks for the reply anyway
friend let me ask you a question this application doesn't need to pay like the mhd? does this app only need the mhd device to unlock sport+ mode?
This app I think is $35, and you can either use OBD cable or wireless adapter 👍
Just curious. What year is your F10?
2013 👍
When you press the gas, brake is pressed all the way? You upness brake quickly or what?
Yes brake all the way in then gas then you should see launch control pop up
Hello and good morning, did you notice a difference in the take-off? Thanks I really appreciate any feedback
Well with lunch control there’s definitely a difference with how the car launches vs just holding a brake 👍
@@BIMMERLEAGUE I tried to load it to mines this morning and it won't let me download it at all. If I pick the the option the save button lights up. But if I pick the option you picked, it Grey's out so it's not giving me an option to. Darnit, I appreciate your feedback.
@@BIMMERLEAGUE hey bro...i have a question for you......im sort of stuck between the ....JB+w a little E-85......and or......MHD ...i have a 2013 535i xdrive bone stock....now what i would seriously like to know is do you ...REALLY FEEL.... POWER FROM THE MHD STAGE 1....or should i try the .....JB+ and turn the dial to its full potetial and add about 3 gallons of E-85......I been subbed you and love your video's....
@@hassantalib3426 Mhd man
It worked!! Thank u!
Is possible update GPS mapa with Bimmercode? Tanks
Don’t think so mate but I’m sure there are forums on how to do it
Hey! I’ve noticed that on your other videos your HUD was white, while this one is orange just like mine. Did you code it/update it through BimmerCode? A tutorial on that would be awesome!
HUD becomes Orange automatically at dark - same as cluster
You can also code it so it become white all the time even at night time instead of the Orange .
@@IBraQx.101 Can you please share the steps on how to do it.
Why do you need it. At night bright will be pain for eyes.
still works after 2 years?
or it got disabled automatically
ALSO which engine you got? or car year?
thanks 👍👍
N55 2011 but now I have a M4 F82
Can you activate M HUD? Like the M5 f10 has the RPM showing in your HUD
Ahh I wish, but no :/
@@BIMMERLEAGUE you tried in expert mode? My vlinker will arrive the upcoming weeks and I will try to search for it in expert mode if I find it I will let you know
Will this work with PRE LCI F10s?
It should. I think LCI is mainly cosmetic updates for the most part
Can you do this with carly ?
Naw
So I coded it in and I just tried it and it didn’t work, so I have to hold the button for 3 seconds to turn it off? And then manual mode and that’s it? If I put it in sport it turns everything back on
Sorry it’s a bit confusing but you have to push it once so that it switches from DCS to DTC. You should see a message “DTC active” with “traction” next to where the gears show up on the display
Thought it had to be done with sport+
Not that I’m aware of . If you have sport+ you should be able to use launch control as a default
Hey quick update - you actually have to turn traction on and then try to launch it. I can send you a pic if you have insta / fb
Depends on what year car you have. If its older it wont work
Will this work on my 2011 f10 523i?
Hmm not sure bud
No it won’t
It depends what year your 535i I have a 2011 and LC Is not available
Not available but default but can be coded 👍. Mine is 2011 too
@@BIMMERLEAGUE I thought you had a 2013🤨
@@drebuckzz878 it is lol not sure what was I thinking probably my 2011 x5 haha
Mine also didn’t work f25 2011. Coded as you.. and didn’t see “launch control”😢
I have coded sportplus and launch control but can't find code on dashboard bmw 535ix 2015
It’s kind of difficult to make it work. Just try it couple more times
I have configured Spot Plus and it is working, but I did not find any code for it in instrument cluster. Also, launch control does not appear on display
Dang maybe ix doesn’t have it ?
Can you help me add sports plus
I don’t think it’s possible mate
Don't use expert mode unless you know what it is. Also make sure your car is earned up and wait about 5 minutes between launches
I had it installed long befofe using experts mode
You coded or it was by there by default ?
@@BIMMERLEAGUE yeah used bimmercode with experts mode then coded it in
Nice dude. It got much much faster imo 🙌
@@BIMMERLEAGUE yeah bro and i got a xhp tune with transmission custom launch control with makes it even crazier
Damn dude. I don’t think I’m going that far. I might be saying goodbye to the F10 and getting the M3 F80 in 6 month hopefully 🙏
Will this also work on a 640i
Not too sure brotha. What year and engine you got ?
@@BIMMERLEAGUE 2012 6 cylinder turbo
Believe 2012 640i also has n55 engine so I think it’ll work. Just do some more research online. Also if Bimmer code has that option means it is codable/doable 👍
@@BIMMERLEAGUE thanks and does the Vgate icar pro still work with bimmer code and if not which adapters work best and gives the best options , does any has an option to keep exhaust valves open
Do you Instagram?
Yep - Bimmer league 👌
So I'm new to bmw so I don't know much about them. What is the benefit of launch control? What is different than brake boosting it and launching? Thank you in advanced
It allows your turbos to build boost resulting in quicker take off
@@BIMMERLEAGUE Ok, When you brake boost off the line it does the same thing but does it release the boost after a while? Reason I'm asking is I have a twin turbo F150 and when brake boosting at a stop after 5 seconds it'll release the built boost. Did you noticed a faster take off with launch control on?
Well it also limits engine rev to prevent tire slipping and also putting less stress on the clutch/gearbox etc. I wouldn’t say it’s a ton faster than brake boosting but there seems to be less turbo lag when I launch and also the tranny doesn’t feel like it’s gonna just outta the car lol
@@BIMMERLEAGUE OK that makes sense. I appreciate you clarifying that for me bud. Thank You
Be careful man, bmw knows it's axels are too weak and turns off LC after so many launches on cars that come with LC from factory
Yeah even though I have it coded I barely ever use it
