The best thing I ever did for my 2013 X5 35d was deleting the DPF and EGR and Stage 2 tune. Prior to this I replaced both DEF tanks and a DPF clean until the dealer told me the DPF was beyond cleaning and needed to be replaced at. cost of $10,000.

What about that stupid seat belt? If you seat low (which most of us DO), that seat belt will rub your neck. I mean come on... in every Fiat Punto you have a seat belt height adjuster. What a stupid bmw engineers.

Shaky under braking is usually control arm bushings. If everything is good, the car should definitely not do that. Mine doesn’t.

Hey! Can you disable TPMS and enable FTM via Bimmercode on F30?

I believe you can pass the inspection with stage 1 tune. The problem is do a driving cycle to let O2 sensor in ready status. Since stage 1 you can use stock cat.

I got the same DEF tank sensor code but instead of the resistor trick or replacing the whole tank it’s possible to buy just the sensor. It costs about $350 CAD, access to tank requires removing passenger front tire and wheel cover. Wheel well cover was biggest PIA. After I changed the sensor haven’t had the code come back yet after two years.

VRSF sent me the package with the screws but the gasket was missing :(

Looking at getting a muffler delete. What specifically is causing the pops in sport mode? Is that avoidable if I just get the muffler delete done? I’m looking for a lowkey nice sound that doesn’t draw crazy attention.

While I skipped this mod and retrofit the g80 emblems into my f82 I have a tip that might be a little too late. The cracked vinyl bmw used on your emblems can be peeled completely off, you can then slap the black vinyl right on top.

I have a 2012 E70; and around 124k miles I also thought I would need to replace the DPF; my shop quotes me like 3k at the time. And also tried to see if it would still fall under the extended warranty but I didn't. 😢 I found this product during my research: Liqui Moly 5169 Pro Line Diesel Particulate Filter DPF Cleaner 1L and took it to my shop as a possible alternative - after looking into it; they agreed it was a sound alternative and did it for less than $350. It was a BIG win for me. I'm at 159k miles; 2 years later and haven't had any issues with DPF. Sharing for those who might be in that scenario!
