I always pictured this to be the infancy of the guild, named after their party, Tempus. They partied together, reached their endpoint but Altare wanted to build the guild and everybody agreed they should do it. Every member of the party took positions in the guild and the streams are like advertisements to join the guild. Hence, he needs to learn how to lead an entire guild not just a party. Also, I thought the missing member was a party member they lost but in losing them they forgot everything, or are unable to remember, about that missing person. Could also be the link as to how Altare even got his weapon.

My headcanon is: Elysium is Temma and Oga's original world before they came to ours. Also about 9:35 , Magni said ( in the Sims stream lmao ) his hands are the combination of magic and technology since the souls of his old guildmates live inside them. So they can move independently and by his will.
I think one thing that was overlooked in a minor way is this: Altare’s comic is called Meet the Adventurer. However, he has the role of Hero in the debut announcement and other portions of “official” media. He is the only one with this difference out of all the members. My theory is that Something happens to the original Hero. Something good or bad, or even just a failure in their duty. This might be what causes Omega to take their active role. The interference of Omega, in my general belief, is that they either give Altare the Hero’s weapons, or give him the opportunity to get them on his own merit and properly achieve the role of Hero. And as a side note, I’ve always been suspicious of Magni’s character. I genuinely believe that he knows more than he lets on. He’s always kinda smirking, and he doesn’t really seem to be caught off guard by anything.
Not sure if this can be taken seriously, but Altare often refers to himself as "blue isekai hero" (like his ingame names n stuff). I wonder if this is implying anything. Also regarding Magni, he did mentioned that his role has a "most likely to betray the guild" note :))
I really dig the forgotten RPG we never finished. The idea we the player made an oc or created character to be the protagonist or duotagonist. Maybe even there where little bond events with each of the lads
The initial teaser and reveal mentioned that the Elysium server was rebooting, so I'm on board with it being an mmorpg from our world's perspective. I can only assume then that ”Tempus” guild is more akin to an mmo guild (which can start out small)... Although it's common for adventurers' guilds to be portrayed as a single country- or even world-wide organization with local branches, Tempus might be closer to real-world guilds where it's artisans or merchants banding together to protect the members and their craft. An example I can think of was the anime/LN ”Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter” where the rival adventurers' guilds can be tribalistic, are competitive in their questing (if a client reached out to multiple guilds), or might offer different prices for monster materials. It's like having competing companies.
The whole "Elysium is an RPG world" is only gaining more and more material to back it up. Like, with the the lates generation we got more insight into what Elysium looks like and it's literally a flat world that is devided into four sectors, each with their own theme. So far, the three we know is generic RPG world with medieval and schi fi aesthetics are mixed, Asia land, and desert world. They are literally just RPG hubs! And in the center is the Hollow Tree which is stated to be the center of the world. Sounds like either an endgame hub or endgame dungeon to me.
I hate to "um, actually" you, but in Dez's reference art where they show how his robo-arms connect to his back, we can see an empty port above the occupied one. Mirror it since it's just half of his back, and we have four ports for presumably four robo-arms
HolostarsEN doesn't feel like an RPG you didn't finish but it seems to hint at Humanity's most desperate attempt to save themselves. Which is why they are in a digital utopia far from calamity Like it was a project once canceled but was brought up because "The End" has come. In this case, Omega.

I believe Tempus is more like the founder party of the guild. And since their fans or viewers watch their journey or adventure as streamers... The fans became part of the guild?? Fans look up to them and they are present during their adventures. Like how a new student look up to the university's founder??

About the guild part, if you think about it like this: When the guild founder or founders make a guild, does it matter if they're just one person? It is still founded by that/those person so it is a guild even if it is just temporarily one person or a few people. Most MMOs do it like this. Get your guild registered, then get people to join. It is still a guild even if it's just you. And you're probably thinking of "Adventurer's Guild" in a sense of those typical isekai animes with the adventurer rankings and quests but it can also just mean "a guild of adventurers".
My theory is that Elysium (which shares its name with of one of the ancient Greek afterlives, btw) is one of the worlds of the upcoming Hololive videogame, and that the glitched out character may be the Player Character from it. Edit: What if they're a single party that, after the events of the manga, went on to establish a whole-ass guild since The Player isn't there to do all the quests anymore?

There are some problems with the lore but this is how I reconstitute what I can find... Humans from the Real or Virtual World created Elysium as a Utopia (possibly from what they learned about the Virtual World from Zeta's mission). However, at some point, as all data does eventually, the Digital World that is Elysium begins to degrade and become corrupted. This is the explanation of the missing other person. Further, the system/world is being rebooted at the beginning of the tale and that is why we are seeing the glitches. The system is corrupt and trying to work out why there are memories of people that don't exist... Moving forward, this all happened some point in "the past" relative to our present viewing of Elysium, which might indicate that this is a creation of the Virtual World and that it was created by some ancient civilization rather than the Real World and messing about with time. And the reason we know this is because of the information we get about Regis being the first adventurer and the reason for that is that he saw something going wrong and took it upon himself to attempt to fix it...which he did ... and established The Tempus Guild which is now the Adventurer's Guild, because there was no Guild/Parties before that point. Either way, this happened in the past and now Elysium is a "corrupted", but stable version of itself, no longer a paradise. There may also be a connection between IRyS and Elysium. Her lore establishes that in the ancient past there was a battle in "The Paradise", which Elysium could be a name for, before falling asleep, only to be awakened in modern times for some reason. I am also starting to believe that Elysium is probably the World name and City name... that's the only explanation for Axel's Northern Elysium, but I view Elysium as something like the Elder Scrolls' world map where there is a central City/Capital on a continent that has several regions that are their own thing but are submissive to the main capital. Anyways, this is my current thinking based on what I've read and tried to link together with all Hololive/stars elements. For a time I thought it might be a past or future version of the Virtual World (The main Hololive world), but that doesn't line up well enough and when at all possible taking out time travel is always a must. Then I was thinking maybe it was the thus far unnamed Fantasy World, but that too doesn't work because it is too small and is a Digital World so really doesn't make a lot of sense.
