I used to see Morrisey and Mullen in the 70's in the pubs around Southend .. they were awesome .. a track called Bristol Boogie was great and a favuorite of all
Dear Mack could you upload the cd "Burns"? My copy is sadly broken and the cd it's not available. It' s such a treasure and I miss so much ! Thank you in advance
Im a big fan of Jim Mullens guitar playing style and feel. Monster Jazz guitarist IMOP. I first heard Jim with The Morrisey Mullan Band {Dick Morrisey sax player) at The Coconut Grove club in Leeds, round mid-80s. Also was fortunate to see Jim again early 90s as a Duo guitar gig with bass and drums. It was with a great west yorkshire Jazz guitarist called Adrian Ingram.
Mack, I have been searching for Jim's solo album to buy and have had no luck. I am not sure if it's available anymore or perhaps I am looking in the wrong places? I sent Jim a message myself a few minutes ago asking. In the meantime if you have the full album "Thumbnail Sketches" please I will happily pay for it. Wanting my own copy. thank you.
Hi Bailey, I'm a fan of your playing btw! As far as I know the album is available to stream on Spotify/ Apple music, or buy on the iTunes store, although it may not be for your region. I believe you can still buy physical copies from bobtale records, www.bobtale.de/audio_sites/thumbnail.html , just have to email to get a quote, although again, they ship from Germany so maybe not ideal for you either. If the region thing is an issue let me know and we can work out a way for me to share it!

@4:51 great phrase
Beautiful music from Jim Mullen, one of the best guitarists the British Isles have produced
I LOVE the "Live in Glasgow", 2001 Album and I 'm glad I still have a copy - this album is not available anywhere... thanks for your nice compilation

Just great playing throughout-saw him live once and remember an equally polite and courtious man also.
