There is a slightly easier way of doing these combo strings that I have personally found out for myself. See, I am a die hard Vegeta fan and have used him as my number 1 character in all the budokai games, especially DBZ 3 so I have found a lot of cool combos with him. Underlordtico is correct when he says that the same combination can't be used twice in succession unless a player uses the airborne trick. However, combos can be extended and learned quicker if a different combo string with a different start animation is used. For example, Goku's KKKK combo can be easily canceled into the >PKK since the starting attack is different. If the starting attack is different then no fear of the opponent going airborne is necessary, as long as a new combo string is used with a different start up each time and canceled in between then HUGE combos can be made. Here is an example of an extended Vegeta cancel combo: >kkk
Hey Tico, thanks a ton for this tutorial! This was really informative and easy to understand. I had no idea these type of infinites even existed until the last video you put up. Really appreciate you taking the time to follow up on my question :)
Hey guys, one last quick comment before I shut up..... I must note that the comment I wrote about the whole combo thing is "not" for infinite combos, but EXTENDED combos due to the fact that in a real "fighting" scenario in this game infinite combos won't work due to the opponent anticipating what you would do and thus teleport countering and breaking the infinite combos dealt. Also, while repeating the same combo string over and over again your opponents may catch on quick to the timing as well and will counter every time. Try to mix up combos in attacks, damage, and length so as to confuse opponents and to keep them worried. All right there's my two cents on EXTENDED combos in DBZ Budokai 3 Thanks Underlordtico for all the tips and help!
i watched sayainjin vid on this to and his was good but it's nice to hear someone actually explain it...i feel like i have a full understanding of it now but RBD just takes a lot of practice i can only do it off a transformation cancel cuz it's easier lol
I just discovered this combo system today. Interesting system. Funny you picked Broly of all characters, i usually use him. Too new to do infinites tho but i get what you mean. i think one of the better combos i got is ->pkk cancel kkkk cancel - into something - super art. does alot of damage.
I don't understand very much the English but I love your tutos ! Just I wanna ask you : why do you go back before doing a combo ? Do it give more damage or what ?
Do these finites work in ps2 version of Budokai 3? I am having difficulty with infinites there and I a swear I am doing as fast as anyone possibly can. Maybe not. I can always get the first KKKK and second one but cannot get it fast enough to connect the third and obviously so on. Any help anyone? Great videos bthe way Tico.
Jarol Vazquez Oh yeah, I forgot the most important thing. So you do KKKKB but before you hit the block button you have to hold the kick button when you do the last kick in order to charge it. Basically you do KKKK(hold down the kick button for this last kick)B or Kick Kick Kick Kick(Hold button to charge kick) and then the block button in order to cancel.
I have a question, but firstly to state I just stumbled upon your channel. This is neat, but pardon me for asking this but is there really a point to playing a game competitively for which the winner is basically decided by who can get an infinite combo off? I saw another vid where you could keep it going with his rush death move to do just that, and that aspect seems kinda broken. Does this not bother anyone else? Or am I missing something here?

These tips also may help get around the whole "diagonal dash" technique that may become super annoying with certain characters like Broly.
This game needs to be brought to PS4 with online. If they did, I would save for a PS4 and get this game! (I already have this game on PS3)
Yeah this game with online on PS4 would get the publicity it deserved
xbox one too

Wow okay, this makes a lot more sense now - explains why a lot of my combo strings ended ^_^ thanks man! :D
Pra mim, esse é o melhor jogo de DBZ já feito até hoje.

Watch TheSaiyanjin2's combo video "The art of combos" to understand what I mean about everything I said
tkdodo87
I know who he is, we are friends and talk all the time
You need some cancel experience to do an RBD. Once you get use to it its not really hard. The easiest character for me to RBD with was Kid Buu
Customize your controls with options menu.Use the shoulder buttons if need be to make things easier.
Hey Tico
I come from germany but I understand your Tutorial really good and you help me a lot with this.
I subscribed you
You're my inspiration

I WANNA FIGHT YOU IN BUDOKAI!
Thanks for the video. Helped me figure out how to do it finaly xD
Is there a configuration for your controller that needs to be used because I’m playing on Xbox 360 but it won’t let me cancel
2022🇧🇷 thaks a Lot tico💪❤️
DBZ Budokai 3 HD - Infinite Ground Combos Explanation
Thats cool :)
Yeah, both PPKK and KKPP are infinites for Gohan. You have to cancel fast
Omega in B3 has 3 infinite juggles I reckon, in IW he doesn't have any infinites though
I just discovered this combo system today. Interesting system.
Funny you picked Broly of all characters, i usually use him. Too new to do infinites tho but i get what you mean.
i think one of the better combos i got is ->pkk cancel kkkk cancel - into something - super art. does alot of damage.
Holy shit I'm actually learning O_O thanks!
hey thanks man it worked.
canceling is really hard for me. i have xbox and when i try canceling its not fast enough. my guard for xbox is A. i beed help what do i do.
How do you move backward a bit during infinite combos?
I don't understand very much the English but I love your tutos ! Just I wanna ask you : why do you go back before doing a combo ? Do it give more damage or what ?
I subscribed and liked!!! :D
So if I were to do a sidestep cancel should I type it in at the same time as the actual button input like how you go airborne or do I do it after?
is for combo variety or flashiness only
i have a xbox too, go ahead an change the guard button to Lt or Rt, it would be (i think it'd) easier then
You could pass for Eric Pumphrey brother.

yes
No problemo
Does flying loose li
have you got my inbox now?
I have the same problem, we're too slow, I've connected the third one before, you just need to get faster.
The irony of him saying kkk
Lol indeed
I started off with cooler, dunno why I find him easier than other caracters ^^
How do you cancel the kkkk??
You hit X or A or whatever button you have set as block. So basically you do KKKKB or Kick Kick Kick Kick Block.
Ramy S just hold the k and press r1 it will cancel itself
btw really good explanation but you forgot to tell the level of difficulty to master the rbds :p
Doing this is really hard on xbox
It's not a very useful technique is it?
I have a question, but firstly to state I just stumbled upon your channel. Kat B No because 30 hits is max before fall off damage

hey tico try uncharted 3 multiplayer to see if u like it
Nope.
Xbox 360?
I've never seen such long drawn out rambling none sense of nothing
honestly ur moves sucks !!u can simply move to the side as you are doing the combos and like that u can do an unlimited combos. no need to step back.
LOL
